[Q] Social Cam

I am loving the tab 7 right now. I am running into one problem with an app and I wasn't sure if its the app or the rom I installed. I installed cyanogenmod nightly build for the p3113 model at of Nov 4. I installed an app called social cam because I have seen people use it quite a bit and I wanted to give it a go since we have two cameras on this tab. The problem is when I open it to use it the camera autorotates to landscape mode and thats it. No matter what I press it will not switch to portrait. The other thing with the app is that it is not using the front facing camera only the back. So I can't see myself if I wanted to record a video.
I just wanted to see if anyone else was having a similar issue or could even duplicate the issue. It could be just the app, but I wanted to be sure before I deleted it. Also if anyone has a substitute that might be a good alternative I am all ears...thanks

[Q] Is camera app tied to SIM card?

Waiting for SIM card and case before activating my new Nexus 5 32gb. I've been connecting to the internet on the phone through local wifi.
The phone was at 4.4.0 when I received it. It was/is stock, un-rooted.
When attempting to use the camera app, it was giving an message about not having a sd card (?huh?) and wouldn't let me take a picture most of the time. When it would occasionally let me take a picture, it would write a solid gray image that the gallery couldn't open (it would give an error message). I was able to get Cymera to take pics and work.
I side-loaded 4.4.1 to the camera and the stock camera worked and Cymera stopped working.
When the 4.4.2 update came out, I side-loaded the update. The camera is currently stock, un-rooted, with no sim card.
I used the camera app to take a bunch of pictures about 15 mins ago. I used the camera app and also took some pics with Camera fv-5 lite and with GIF camera.
I just looked at the images in the gallery and the images taken by the camera app are all solid grey and they can be opened by the gallery. The images taken by Camera fv-5 lite and GIF camera are all fine.
After seeing this, I then took a pic through the camera app and it wrote and viewed fine.
Has anyone else seen this behavior from the built-in camera app?

The gray files that were created by the camera app have creation dates of 12/31/1969 5:00 PM and can't be copied off the nexus. the other images that the camera successfully created were able to be copied off the nexus.

[Q] CM11 Gallery app broke when sharing backed up photos

So I went through most CM11 based, custom ROM's (including there own base rom) and one consistent broke portion was when using the gallery app (not photos) if I tried sharing any image that came from a picasa album it would not work and gave an error. Sharing it to anywhere resulted in "can't download image" or "can't complete task". As well I couldn't "set image as" a wallpaper or anything else such as contact photo etc. A stock based ROM or modded rom which was not CM11 based have no problem doing these things. I prefer gallery and this is simply broke in CM11 when it comes to sharing. Not the developers who base their Rom off CM11. So how does my tiny little request get to the CM11 developers to look into it?
Tested 4.4, 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 CM11 based roms. All with same results.Again all stock based roms, no issue. I think this is a simply bug fix.

Can anyone else verify the same issue?

Yes, about 2 weeks ago i rooted and went straight to cm11 on my t989, I knew before hand that the camcorder wasn't working, today while at work I checked for updates and saw that cm11 20140113 was released. After I got of work I downloaded it, installed it, didn't really notice anything untill I went into the camcorder. I recorder about 10 seconds of video and manually stopped the recording!! Curious to see if it worked I went into my gallery to view it, as soon as I opened gallery it froze and rebooted. I know I'm off topic a bit but i be had every nightly available and the gallery always acts up. But the fact that I was able to record was amazing, I still can't view the video, i even tried viewing it with my default video player which is MX Player and I was given a "cannot play video" error. I don't understand, I should be able to watch the video I recorded right? Unless its trolling me...

Change main camera

Hey, first of all, I think this is right area to ask this (new to posting things).
I've had a look around the internet and xda to find out if I can change the main camera on my phone to another camera.
If that made no sense, I have 3 cameras on the back of my phone, I have a galaxy s20 g980f exynos and I want to change the default camera that apps like Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram, messenger use to the 64 mp sensor or wide angle, not the 12 mp main sensor. I have successfully rooted my phone with twrp and magisk. My s20 is running android 11, latest update.
I'm sorry if there is an answer already that I missed.

Which stable AOSP ROM with working camera?

Don't really care about Android version. Anything as old as Android 6 is fine.
Just want something that has everything working, including camera for video recording in apps like Facebook/etc.
Any suggestions, please?
