[OBSOLETE][UNOFFICIAL][ROM][11/14] CyanogenMod 12.1 [5.1][GSM] - One (M9) Android Development

UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod 12.1 for HTC One M9
Compiled from the CyanogenMod himaul device tree. Anyone could do this, I just thought I'd make my builds widely available so that people who don't have the time or resources to compile Cyanogenmod can get this awesome ROM on their devices!
Not Working
- Camera
- Headset Mic (at least not with Apple Earpods)
- USB has issues
- Bluetooth has issues
TO FIX THE FLASHING RED BORDER
On the first build available, you might notice a red border around the screen that flashes sometimes. This is because I built it as an "eng" build which are primarily for debugging. To disable this, go into Settings -> Developer Options, scroll all the way down to the bottom, and toggle "Strict Mode" on, and then back off. The red border shouldn't appear anymore. This doesn't apply to any build after the first one as I will run "userdebug" builds.
Apparently this can't be turned off. What a great start for me My apologies. I will run a new build tonight, and will upload tomorrow morning, WITHOUT the darn red border.
I haven't run extensive tests but it seems as though everything else works just fine.
I'm going to try to run a build every Monday night, and have it up by Tuesday evening. Each build takes my poor old desktop about 7 hours to run. I may miss a week sometimes if I have a lot of school work.

This is more updated and also built directly from the cyanogenmod repositories whereas the other ROM is built from old Hima-Dev repositories

Im only aware of a camera fix in the form of a flashable zip after installing the ROM. Also, I have not made any changes to the source, I'm just building from the cyanogenmod repositories. I'd be happy to integrate the camera fix into the ROM if the original developer is OK with it

Nice job.But without camera.Sorry for that.

I'll look into integrating the camera fix into the ROM

Thanks for your builds!
Can't take Sense anymore, I need to switch now! I should be able to live with a half working camera for a while.
One question, what Gapps is recommended these days? Banks seems to have disappeared.

I use what was previously known as PA Gapps...I forget what it's renamed to but a Google search of PA Gapps will bring em up. Also check out the CyanogenMod wiki page about Gapps

Also, sorry. Yesterday's build failed because I'm trying out a new kernel and somehow managed to delete a source file...so I started it compiling, and went to bed... The next build should be up tomorrow
Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

I'm using your build at the moment, and everything is running great. I flashed the camera fix and apart from the FC whenever the front cam sees a face, it's working perfectly using various camera apps. Video seems to work(ish) using Cinema-FV5. No issues with bluetooth either.
However, the IR blaster doesn't seem to work for me even though remote apps detect the hardware. I used a webcam to check if the phone's IR light was actually blinking or not, and doesn't seem to be. In the other CM12 thread, someone posted that the IR was working, so I'm not sure if it's just me, but can anyone confirm if IR is working or not?

Thanks for this. Keep up the good work.

Hmm. I'll give it a test soon after I upload today's build.

New build is up, includes partial camera fix and a new hotplugging kernel. See changelog.

Can you explain the difference between this new kernel and the previous one? Thanks for all your efforts, downloading now )

** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading

What does this mean exactly ? its updated nightly ? or ... haha
a nightly-build contains all the newest changes which come step-by-step.
all the changes will be offered in a new release candidate if there are stable and harmonize.
so if you always want the newest fixes, patches and so on..you have to flash the nightly-builds. but there is no guarantee that it is stable.
if you want a stable build you have to wait for the rc
sorry for my bad english

Team Douche do work on the rom every day. You can see what commitments they make to the code on the git hub. Every night an automated build bot compiles the code into a flashable rom. As stated in the op, these are experimental builds which add new features but may be quite buggy. In my experience with the nexus one they are usually very stable apart from the odd annoying glitch.
Most importantly for bleeding edge lovers like myself you get to check out new features before, often weeks before, people using the stable branch.

But, now Cyanogen has got all organised, at this stage in the cycle i.e prior to release of the stable version it tends to mainly be bug-fixes rather than additional features so in my experience these late nightly release are often better than the RC's on which they are based

hi i'm new to Android and have a few questions. Just flashed this rom and it looked amazing except that I didn't have market or any other apps. Is it just me (do those apps fall under the Google stuff mentioned earlier? And is it possible to get my contacts from leedroid (just switched after full wipe) also would it help if I flashed the "normal" CM and install the nighty Rom s update ?Anyone can help me? Thx in advance

yup market, gmail, maps etc come under the GAPPS package which you have to flash after flashing cyanogen mod.
If you sync your contacts to your gmail then it should be restored after entering your account details with the new rom
And it doesn't matter if you install the normal CM and then install the nightly, you can just jump straight into the nightly if you want. As previously stated, normal is a stable release whereas nightly is untested but usually stable.

yes you need to get the google addons for theDHD its HDPI-20101114
http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/
but if you downloaded the rom from rom manger it asks you if you want the google add-ons after the rom as well.
when you install google add-ons sould get your contacts back
only need to do full wipe if you coming from a different rom, eg leedroids rom, if already using CM 6.1 rc2 or rc1 just need to flash the nightly over it.
Thx a lot you both saved my day

So any one care to comment what extra feature or u got repair on this NB ? Cop are to the RC

[ROM][06-02-13][Flinny] Andromadus - CM10[133]

Andromadus - Test Builds
To start with here you will find test versions of ROMs built by me from the Andromadus github repo http://github.com/Andromadus, think of them along the same concept as nightly builds just not every night These are development ROM's, if you want to run bleeding edge development ROM's and at least know how to use adb and logcat then you might find something of interest here. If you require something that works 100% of the time all of the time then this might not be for you. That said you can always give it a try and if it doesn't work restore your previous nandroid backup!
What IS Andromadus?
Initially it was a group of people who got together to make ICS work on the HTC Desire Z because nobody else seemed to want to support devices with physical hardware keyboards/trackpads. Whilst the idea stays the same It has grown slightly to support some other hardware and some of the work we have done is now used in many other devices. Andromadus builds of CM10 or CM10.1 are basically CM sources with a few additional tweaks or additions to support our phones.
1. New versions will be added as and when I feel there are enough changes to warrant one, don’t ask when the next version is coming.
2. If we decide to release a "Stable" version of these roms they will be published in another Andromadus thread.
Direct all your queries with release versions to that thread and in the same vain do not discuss these releases anywhere but here.
3. I will do as best I can to answer questions but if you don't get an answer from me I'm sure somebody else will be along to help. Help each other and I have more time to spend fixing things!
4. Don't ask for what's changed since the previous version, have a look at the recent submits on the Andromadus github if you want to know or wait for the mini changelogs when I post a new release.
5. If there is something in particular to test it'll be mentioned!
6. As always if you didn't wipe between installations then at least verify that the problem exists on a clean install before posting here. Nandroid/superwipe/install/check at the end of the day you can always restore your nandroid if the problem is reproducible on a clean installation. If you can't be bothered to try this then I really can't be bothered to try to help you :>
7. All that said ensure you make a nandroid/backup before hand. I take no responsibility for what you do to your phone with these ROM.
8. Whilst I can't stop you I would rather these builds were not used as a base for any ROM/MOD/ETC. The source is all available if you want to do your own builds with which you can do whatever you like.
9. Tell us what works/what's worse/what's better but don't ***** when something breaks or isn't fixed yet, report it and move on.
10. Sometimes people forget that we do this for fun, for ourselves, and sometimes your super important issue is way down on our personal list of things to be fixed.
If you ignore any of the above you will in turn be ignored.
Now that's all out of the way as always have fun
As usual you need to flash the ROM then GAPPS.
Checkout http://andromadus.flinny.org for links/files/previous changelog's
This a team/community effort, I'll not list everyone who has helped along the way here that list is in the beta thread but I will say thanks to all of them again and obviously anyone that has been missed.
Current Version changelog
CM10 build 133
There was an issue with the backup tool in the last build that will break gapps and your account's etc when flashing this build, the solution is to re-flash gapps at the same time as the rom and you should be fine. This build should fix it so that the next build will work as it should
Changes.
Synced with CM - Again not many changes upstream.
Basically everything relevant to our phones up to the 4th of February in the following has been merged

This Rom can use kernels from scverhagen.
These kernels have built in thermal control and mpdecision. So the binaries were excluded from the rom.
It was the thermald binary conflicting with the kernel that caused the lockups on kornyone's releases.
If you have any problems booting, use one of scverhagen's stable kernel.

Thank you very much for the work! At last Doubleshot got CM10.1. I see the bugs are currently thе same as on your aokp, I got used to those bugs hehe. I use your aokp as a daily driver. If camera preview and keyboard bugs get solved it will be just perfect. Thanks again for your work and making us happy. I hope you are happy too.

Now that you mention it... some of those things shouldn't be on that list... Copy and paste happiness and thinking of problems I initially had with AOKP. (Had to reinstall linux... soo I was a little on edge).
Keyboard backlight "Works". doesnt turn on with inital slide out though.
Keymapping except for www/com key works.
Can 10.1 be flashed over 10? Going from kornyone's cm10 to this rom? Thanks.

Thought so figure I'd ask just in case. Thanks.
Are you going to be submitting changes to the CM repos themselves or are you just keeping it as "unofficial"?
Been running this since last night. Everything seems to be working just fine SilverL. Another great job! Thanks for cranking these out! By the way I know your ROM's can run scverhagen's kernels. Do you think you'd incorporate the 1080p fix he just uploaded for CM9.1? I don't know if any of it is compatible but I figured maybe some would be or the fix would be similar for yours. It's not really for me but I know a lot of people want that and just trying to have your ROM be loved by as many people as possible. I think it's surprising to me btw that AOKP pretty much takes all the things you wish were easier or more customizable in CM and just cleanly implements them. Like placing the clock in the center or having the battery be text. I love those options

Good question and it goes well with the previous one. Because of the way this and other "fixes" were implemented... I wont be trying to get these into the CM repo at all.

That's fair. Will you be merging any changes in then, or are you going to just get it stable first? Hope you push out changes to a github or something, I want to play with/work on these eventually.

Check my github, there are already some of the starting blocks. The hardware folder I havent finished, and I havent put the htc vendor files on there either. Also no merging, lots of the hacks are either too crude, reverts of the official, or just plain left out for whatever reason.
Like the keyboard backlight for AOKP(I wont be uploading these sources) those are left out because AOKP doesnt seem to make officials builds for devices with hardware keyboard. At least thats what it seemed like since ics.

Hmm. Did you flash a custom ROM or a patched tether app or just get one from the Play store. You can't usually use the stock one unless you subscribe to hotspot. It's what you do AFTER you root that makes it fun.

Sweet. I don't think AOKP supports hardware keyboards mostly because support was officially dropped from AOSP even though options are still there.

Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op
issues:
- stop flashing the moto X binaries. they do not improve anything for you and aren't even for your device.
- open source camera and launcher3 do not have the same featuers as the google versions. use the latest

I flashed ROM yesterday and WiFi was broken and today I flashed only kernel (torched 4.8) and WiFi is working
I have to say, this ROM is very impressive! Great UI tweaks, very fast, ART works very well. The only bug I've noticed is my cell signal goes out completely for a few seconds every once in a while. Otherwise, very awesome indeed!

The latest nightly is pretty stable, been having no issues whatsoever, except the need to flash a new radio every few days or so, but that could just be due to my own location.

And also WiFi doesn't work on stock kernel. Only working with torched 4.8. I guess it's related to the latest changes with the WiFi. When I first flashed the ROM it didn't work so I flashed torched to fix it but I've had a lot of random reboots since 3-4 days so I just got back on stock kernel only to remember WiFi is broken.
Edit : still getting random reboot also on stock kernel. I'll try and grab a last_kmsg next time it happens.

I haven't but I will as soon as possible. I didn't know there was a new built. I'm actually on 0819 I'll let you know
I installed the 0902 nightly via vanir updater and WiFi now works very well I still get random reboots though, here's the last_kmsg I grabbed while on 0819 nightly, i'll try to grab another one while on the latest as well.
Newest nightly refused to boot for me.. Just endlessly sat on the Vanir splash screen.
Vanir 4.4.4 build required
Hi,
I see that the last vanir build for evita for 4.4.4 was this vanir_evita_4.4.4.112414
But the official repo for vanir only hosts 5.0 builds. If somebody has it downloaded can you please send it to me.
Any help is much appreciated.
TIA!
I love AOSP ROMs but the latest nightlies that I've installed have crashed right after the boot. Please, look into that.
Thanks.

SD card problems?
First of all thanx a lot to ivanich and all others involved in the efforts of bringing up-to-date software to our manufacturer-abandoned hardware. Big thumbs up! :good:
I came to this rom some weeks ago from Albinoman887's CM10.1 which worked out quite well for more than a year now. Due to the space-consuming updates of the gapps i ran out of memory and searched for a more recent rom. Using this for two weeks now leaves me quite happy except one thing.
I expierience constant and sudden unmounts of the SD-Card, quite like papete mentioned them in the old thread for this rom.
Is this there anthing i can do on my side, to overcome this behaviour configuration-wise?
Could it be that i need a special firmware for this rom to work properly?
Getting rid of this problem would definetly let me use my Sensation for at least an other ten months or so.
@Sajito , seems like I've found a workaround for LPA seek bug. Could you test it on your builds. Also If I remember correctly there was issue with lpa and bluetooth - can you check this too?

I will merge that commit and make a build with that and lpa enabled.
I'll report back tomorrow.
Just remembered that in the last builds carbonrom seems to have a bug with playing music via bluetooth in general. It connects, but music plays always from phone, if lpa is enable or disabled doesn't matter. Gonna test it anyway.
dirty flash
Hi, I've got two questions:
Can updates be flashed as dirty flash? I flashed the ROM's previus version three days ago with full wipe, it's ok to dirty flash the new one?
It's mandatory to flash gapps in a dirty flash?
Thanks.

You can dirty flash ROM updates always. If you experience problems, do a clean install.
Gapps usually don't need to be reflashed after an update.
This is for every rom the same.
@ivanich I've tried that commit on my own for normal playback and everything seems to be fine at least on paranoid android. Carbon seems to have issues with music at the moment.
Couldn't test bluetooth yet, someone else needs to test that.
I remeber that Skype audio was not working when phone display is off, so I guess this could be a good test to try LPA, can't test myself unfortunately atm

@ivanich I just tested your latest build and even with that one I'm not having any issues with seeking with lpa enabled.
After disabling touch sounds everything is perfectly fine.
But for some reason in my roms neither in carbonrom, nor in aospa audio over bluetooth is working. May I ask you for your local_manifest?

So you built cm11 by yourself and got bt audio issues or it's broken only in carbon/aospa? Check repos in your build tree, maybe you changed something directly in code, in that case repo sync wont overwrite changes.
Seems I know why you are not experiencing issues with lpa seek. I've rebooted phone and start GooglePlay Music, seek issue almost not noticeable in this app, then I started Apollo and no seek issue again, but then I looked into logcat and realized that after I exited from GooglePlay Music it puts LPAPlayer into underrun state so lpa not worked after I've started Apollo.
EDIT: Returning to GooglePlay Music app shows in logcat that lpa is working again, probably there is something wrong with Apollo
