baseband version: G920FXXU3COI9
I used CF - autoroot and TWRP. Fingerprintsensor still alive - better than ever.
and your phone has no problem with incoming calls too? i found this one http://galaxys6root.highonandroid.com/galaxy-s6-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s6s6-edge-on-android-5-1-1/ but it seems to be for telekom carrier only maybe cause i have no oem settings in my developeroptions could you please share the link to the tutorial? that you used and your fingerprint sensor didnt broke? i have no carrier lock
Stick with XDA.... Never heard of a fingerprint senor breaking after root. Everything works perfectly. Search the forums
@TheKingOfQueens
Just google for chainfire/Cf-autoroot

i found the autorrot site from chainfire but for the sm-g930f there is in the build id only LMY47X.G920FXXU3QOKN but in my settings i have LMY47X.G920FXXU3COI9 .
can i use the LMY47X.G920FXXU3QOKN to install it On my LMY47X.G920FXXU3COI9 or will it break my phone?
Or you can install TWRP recovery with Odin and then flash Unikernel via TWRP, this kernel is like stock but with better/improved features and inbuilt root by CF.

Need help rooting an S6

I want to root my S6 but I know nothing about rooting and such. I've tried towelroot, kingroot and pingpong but none of them seem to support my device.
It's model nr SM-G920F and the build number is MMB29K.G20FXXS3DPD3. I'd like to root it without triggering knox if possible, if it's not tell me what not to do as to avoid bricking it.
It's 6.0.1 Marshmallow
Sorry if this noobish of me to ask but I can't find any tuts with which I feel secure rooting, thanks!

Yes it does. I rooted it yesterday. But be careful with TWRP,
"recovery is not seandroid enforcing" may appear on boot, and u may experience a bootloop.
Keep a stock official rom in your pc, in case u want to recover. Use Odin

You can use custome roms to gain access to shealth.
Im using Noble nougat 4.0 s8 port, and works great.
Hi.
You still can use SHealt
This is how (of course you need root access) lint to post
Sorry but you can forget to use Knox after you tripped Knox flag.
Try root with Magisk - this allow you to "hide" root from some apps.
PS
Sometimes root is not a bad thing...
Setting ro.config.tima to 0 fixes SHealth. For the Samsung login you'll need to read this, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71566173&postcount=6

Flash stock recovery after that your device will return to official state then you will be able to check or upgrade via OTA.

SElinux is a system property , you will need root to modify it.
If you decide to root you're device to modify SElinux , there's an app to change that created by the recognized Contributor Ibuprophen available on XDA Labs
Link here :

the things i'm in a bit of trouble with my phone
and i can't root it so i was thinkin by seting selinux permissive or desable will help me root it ??

Not at all , you just need to unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP or a custom recovery on your phone.
Learn more by browsing XDA
i know that... the thing is my bootloader is unlocked but u can't access computer anymore cs my usb port is broken so i nead to root to flash custom recovery

To be honest, you're probably wasting your time, fix the USB port, that is probably your only solution, whether you like it or not.
The only other possible option is to use one of the universal rooting apps such as Kingroot or similar app. Or use one of the programs for PC that is made to root android devices, such as Kingroot for PC or Kingo-root.

Unroot/relock with custom firmware

Hi there,
I've installed LOS 16 on my Galaxy S7 and I want to use my banking app on it. The problem is that the app says the device is rooted. I guess didn't root it. In download mode is written:
product name: SM-G930F
current binary: Custom
system status: Custom
FRP lock: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
I also searched the internet for a solution but the only way I've find i to flash the stock firmware.
Is there any other way to relock the phone with LOS on it?
Thanks for your help!

The knox counter has tripped, it can't be reset, it doesn't matter what ROM you put on it now most banking apps will never work on the phone again.
Sorry buddy.

Thanks for your answer!
Probably it is such a Samsung specific problem. I've installed LOS on a Xiaomi A2 lite and the banking app is usable. So there is no way to revoke the root permission?
Edit: On my old HTC One m8 with LOS 16 it works also fine.

Yes of course you can revoke root by going back to stock or a custom ROM based on stock but not on LOS as its a totally custom ROM.
With regards to banking apps working, some do, most don't. It very much depends how that app makes a secure connection and if the provider is happy for it to run on a modified device.
My HSBC app works on my phone but that's the only one all others I've tried give the message "this device has been modified / isn not secure" etc. and won't run.
It's not the root that prevents this, it's the fact that when you root a device you trip the knox counter which cannot be reset because its a hardware fuse not software.
Thank you for your reply.
The fact with the hardware fuse is known and it should be not the problem with the banking app. Like I wrote it works with other devices which are already unlocked. Probably It is the custom ROM which is not based on the stock ROM.
I will try to install an other ROM based on stock ROM without the annoying pre installed apps.
Many many thanks for your help!
