Modems Collection for D850 21Q/R (NEW!!!), 20f, and 10d - AT&T LG G3

Hey Bros, just thought I'd upload the new 21Q/R (They are the Same) modem I just copied from my D850 along with two other older Modems (20F [Older Lollipop] & 10d [Latest KitKat]). Creds for the 20F modem go to @autoprime and the creds for the 10d modem go to @17akota. I am the one who actually extracted the 21Q/R modem however.

Thanks!

Appreciate it but when would we need these? My modem is backed up through TWRP so could I find a use for them?

If upgrading from KitKat flashed through LG Flash Tool, then one would need the Lollipop modem. Thus, that is why these are necessary. If coming from Lollipop to AOSP, then these aren't necessary.

I flashed 21L modem some time ago so these prolly arent needed by me @jlgarr86

If you have a 20p ROM, I would not flash this. Just keep the modem you have.

Would flashing on 20f rooted be harmful? I see no reason to upgrade from 20f until marshmallow. However, I realized (and still do) a decrease in data reliability/speed from 10d --> 20f and I'm curious as to whether newer modem would remedy this and/or VoLTE would be gained on 20f.

What modem are you using now? If you're on 10d, I would recommend updating to the 21Q modem. If it doesn't work, you can always just flash the original.

Working well with cloudy 2.5 d850 rom. Thanks. Don't notice any difference though

Thank you very much for sharing rare D850 modem files (most are for D855). I like the G3 but the cell reception is rather poor compared to new Iphone 6S and old Samsung S4. I have been looking for a new modem file for a long time.

Is there a list of changes for this? Can anyone give any results when used on 20F?

21q/r working well here. Thanks!

So the same modem is used on 21r as 21q?

Which can I use with marshmallow?

I'm running CM12, and my baseband is showing as
MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13.etcetc
Only the "DI" or "c1" parts seem to possibly relate to the identifiers used here. Maybe this the original modem, from 2013, or...? And which ones are recommended for CM12? Thanks.

Hi, firends! Prompt please for what this program is necessary and it is possible to establish it on a marshmallow?

can i flash these running cm 12.1?

Correct, you should not need to flash this again. Unless you use the LG Support Tool to return to 4.2.2 stock (which contains the older radio) or if you flash an different radio, you should be good.

[MODEM][D800] LP Modem Patched with D802 Baseband (Low Signal Fix)

I had low signal issue after the official D800 lollipop update, as for D802 it have lots of different modems available and people with signal issues flashed different modems to fix their issue. But there is only one modem available for D800 the stock one.
I checked blastagator's thread and how he fixed send sms bug for KK, also samuele94 have thread for different D802 modems, so thanks to both of them.
After trying different combinations of D800 and D802 modem.img files, finally I was able to use D800 modem with D802 baseband files.
So I flashed different region modems (patched) and couple of them fixed my signals and few of them made it worse.

Nice! I'll be sure to give these a whirl when I make the move to LP.
Okay, this is really really rad. I'm on BlissPop 3.2 that I maintain myself right now, but really am digging the idea of trying this new LP "stock" rom -- I may be reminded why I moved to 5.1.1, or I may be reminded why I miss Dorimanx' kernel so much... But what do you guys think about this new LP update from LG, which is a regression for most of us (running 5.1.1?)

I keep getting Wrong IP error when trying to download, any way we could have alternative links? Thank you for your work this is what we need for LP.
Tried this on my D800 with CM12 and it seemed like it kept rebooting the modem (signal would appear then disappear and I couldn't make calls).
Blastagator's seemed pretty good, light sensor and cell service work but not rotation. Going back, I found the 10O Radio and it has rotation, light, proximity and cell service working. I found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451426
The sensors can be verified in CPU-Z on the Sensors tab.

Well, tried to download, but takes me to one of those download pages that forces you to install some kind of weird .exe that install virus and spamware. Fortunately I was able to uninstall and clean the bad stuff (I hope).
Too bad because wanted to test.
EDIT: I was able to download without the exe, don't know what happened, but the "alternate" download didn't work at the time. Now is working fine. Anyway, tried multiple versions, and the German one is the one that gives a little better signal. Will test.
Thanks.

Flashed XtrestoLite, can't hear/be heard in call

So after solving many problems during flashing, I finally got a 100% clean perfect install working of XtrestoLite MM working on g920w8. Only one problem left, there's no sound in call, but audio works fine taking/playing back a video. phone is a week old, no hardware defects. Is there something Obvious I may have missed?
-xtreStoLite 6.0.1 root enabled
- samsung s6 g920w8
- xposed
-viperFX
- stock kernel
- knox 0x1
- not sure what bootloader/modem is on it but didn't change it manually, maybe its for LP or maybe XtreStoLite flashes newer MM compatible versions
No, ROM doesn't flash BL/modem, the instructions are very specific about verifying those prior to installation.
My suggestion is to flash latest Bell 6.0.1 stock ROM with Odin, which will give you the latest BL/modem, then flash XtreStoLite again.

The ones in post #5 are older than the new ROM. Rogers hasn't released it yet, but you can flash any Canadian ROM without issue. Plus, you're going to clobber it right away with XtreStoLite.

absolutely, like a million times since I had so many issues getting it to work at first. I just wasn't sure what you were referring to at first. I'll take another look.
Never had this much trouble with my htc. I guess things were simpler back then.
EDIT: I checked it out, you're right, they're about 2 weeks older than the rom, but the dev linked them, so shouldn't they work? they say they're for 6.0.1, and still only a couple months old right now.

It's not in the aroma packages, it's a separate zip file you have to download.
And depending on the rom or the rom base, you're going to need arter kernel or another kernel that was tested to be 100% compatible with The 920T/920W8 models--rom makers will list whether their roms were tested with these models--otherwise the fix won't work.
I don't remember if the default Xtres kernel will work with the fix or not since it's been awhile, but there's no reason to not try it out. Either the stock kernel will work or arters kernel will definitely work.

I found the fix for both LP and MM so I went with marshmallow, but for some reason it wouldn't boot after my restore in twrp. I tried flashing the arter kernel, but it bootlooped. I eventually gave up, so I tried LP and that worked, so I stuck with it. all problems fixed now. Thanks guys!
I didn't mention call audio fix, as it's included in newer XtreStoLite builds, so unnecessary. As long as a MM BL/modem are on the phone, there should be no reason for the patch.

Did you do a restore in TWRP? -groan- That's likely the reason for your problems in MM. And why it worked in LP.
If you're game, restore using Titanium Backup. There's a setting for restoring across ROMs, and you can restore only needed data (apps should be re-installed and not restored).

Stock marshmallow KDZ

Hello I plan on returning back to stock and I would prefer the stock 6.0 marshmallow ROM. I can't find a marshmallow kdz anywhere online, is there someone who can upload It for me?

[emoji52] that's because the AT&T model is TOT only. And you must flash KitKat and OTA update to MM with an AT&T or AT&T prepaid sim. It's brought up here at least once a week. The newest firmware possible to flash is KitKat sadly.

You would follow my LG G3 back to stock guide. And use flashtool to flash it in download mode. You are using the phone on AT&T correct ?
What rom where you running before? If cm or something not based on the D850 you'll first need to flash a rom based on the D850 to avoid any issues.
