I've just noticed a folder on sd card with the name "SS-RAM-DUMPS" with folders bp-dupms and riva-dumps in it. Was created a couple of weeks ago.
Does anyone know what that is?
I'm stock unrooted with locked bootloader

Hello I have been trying to use Android on Rhodium (Touch Pro 2, Tilt 2) Updated Build from the website. Project Android Rebuild: (I cant link to the site)
Here's my issue. I was installing the CAB file for Reference Build: Stock 2.2 Froyo
Now everything was working to a point. I would install it and I would have all the features and so forth, but I was stuck in airplane mode. After doing some digging on the site, I seen if I took out the SIM card I would catch my carrier (sprint). Everything was working fine. I was stoked. Then I ran out of program memory.. I found this odd as it was already on my memory card. I read that I had to use a program to move programs tot he sdcard inside android. seemed it was a little to late and once I downloaded a program to do it it corrupted some of the files which then I had to format my memory card.. Back to the drawing board.
So now it seems as the phone or the memory card isn't routed any more.. This is driving me insane. I still have the SIM card out. Would that be the issue why it isn't finding the SDCARD? I even had a backed up folder of where everything worked. I threw it on the SDCARD to see if I can trick the system some how, and to no avail the SDCARD wasnt coming up in the system options.. I am so stuck and cant figure it out.. If there is a alternitive way to do this please let me know, I find the CAB way to be the easiest as I never flashed a ROM before. Thanks in advance and thank you all for this great community!

I have a Sprint Galaxy s3. I was on a touchwiz based ROM. I flashed over to a CM. 10.2 ROM. I knew that my internal storage would be wiped so i put all my goods on the external sd card. When I booted up into the CM rom,I went to my file manager. I went to the "Storage" folder and saw a folder called Emulated, as well as the sdcard0 and sdcard1 folders. I noticed that the emulated folder had the "0" folder inside of it. I deleted it, not knowing the tragedy that would happen. Then I noticed the real ExtSdcard was empty. I died when this happened. Why did this happen? I tried downloading a file recovery, Recuva to be exact, but it couldn't recover anything as well as Recover files, Stellar Phoenix and Dumpster, .Are there better file recoveries that anyone can recommend? Am I SOL ? If anything had to be recovered first, it would be my music. I haven't put anything on the ext Sdcard since it would possibly overwrite the data of my precious files. Is there anything else I can do to get them back?:crying:
Edit- I found another recovery tool that worked at least for my music. I'm so glad it worked.
Strange thing happened when I did the Marshmallow OTA upgrade on my AT&T H900. The phone is stock, no root, all AT&T OTA updates installed. After I let the OTA marshmallow upgrade happen, All apps that were using the external SD for storage, (not running from, just storage) no longer saw the external SD. Using ES File Explorer, I found that the path name had changed! In 5.1.1, it was /storage/external_SD, after the marshmallow upgrade it is /storage/3164-3930. Anyone know why? Can I get the path back or is this normal and I should go through ALL my apps and change the storage location? That would be a pain in the ass.
I also noticed:
/storage/emulated is empty and it wasn't before.
/mnt has an 'sdcard' directory in it, which is the internal storage, but nothing for the external SD.
Thanks for any help!

It changed on my phone also. I've been trying for days to figure out what the new path was. Seems really odd they would change it to something harder to remember.
I am pretty sure this is a fundamental change to Marshmallow and not specific to just the LG V10 version of MM. So, no other help, sorry.
hi
first of all have to say I am quite expert in recovering lost files using common applications (diskdigger, easeus etc.) when happened to other people's tablet, phones, computers, now that happened to me can't find any!
Suddenly* have found the DCIM folder empty also have to say can't find no more LOST.DIR (?!). Thumbnails (of missing pics) are still present.
*I believe happened after a "Can't connect to camera" error (CyanogenMod known bug)
and/or after tried to switch default pic folder from internal storage** to sd card
**if can help since months I am using successfully the android 6.0.1 feature allow to use SD card emulating internal memory
I am running CyanogenMod (nightly roms) since years, (now Android 6.0.1 version CM13), phone is rooted, system files/folders visible.
Have to say looking at space occupied by folders can't find any could contain LOST.DIR (usually big size)
I believe a big problem in my case are the OS CyanogenMod flashing updates I do about every month sound me not help the recovery tools to retrieve something
Any help would be appreciated
Regards
Dear fellow Infiniteers,
My name is Hans and I come from Holland.
3 years ago I got my tf700t. It was unlocked and rooted and had a ww_epad-10.6.1.14.8-20130514 bootloader, original TWRP 2.8.7.0 and Cromi-Xenogenesis ODEX 4.7.0 OS and a 16Gb SD-card in the tablet (not dock). The device was so slow that I didn't use it for several months. Ofcoarse the batteries where empty and after charging the tf700t went in a bootloop. On my search on internet I found this great forum, after many hours of reading I managed to flash Android 7.1.2., I lost root but after using Towelroot_V1 I even got root back. Now everything works fantastic. It seems to be an whole other device, Thank you so much developers. I understood it was essential to setup an adb connection, so I did.
I still have to convert my internal memory to F2FS, but need to read more before doing it. This puzzels my a lot. Also I would like a TWRP version that also can handle the dock-SD card, because I want that particular place to keep my backups, flashrom and other flash.zip files.
Now my Questions are:
Should I upgrade my bootloader?
1 For converting internal to F2FS or something else? And
2 Why should I install Kang-TWRP? wich needs 14.10. so I can use the dock sd card for zip's and backups?
Thanks to anyone who reacts.
