OverScroll/Scroll End wave animation edit - Galaxy Note 3 Themes and Apps

I am using Aurora S6 Port on my note 3 and everything is great except a few bugs.
One thing that I dont like is the animation when a page reaches the end.
When we scroll and the scroll reaches the end there is a beautiful wave animation in stock note 3 rom. But that animation has very low height in this ported rom.
Can anyone tell me how to edit this. It can be used by anyone who wants to remove it or change it.
I have searched in systemui and framework-res but cant find the proper value.
Please any help would be great.

[Q] LG GT 540 bootanimation without bootsound

Hey Com.,
I use on my LG GT 540 the [ROM][Gingerbread] 2.3.7 | CyanogenMod 7 | SwiftDroid ASIS| Mur4ik but will change some things.
It´s a lot of to read here i do this, but i can´t go one step forward.
I can/have changed the bootanimation ,before there is misunderstanding not the original LG splashscreen where in the moment the screen from swiftdroid is. I have changed the bootanimation where the cyanogen 7 mod bootanimation is.So far is all good. But i will have a bootsound too with it. So i have read a lot and test too but nothing bring me on it. I can´t find any bootsound on me LG "How to´s" or "TUT´s" for under 2.3.7 doesn´t work because there is no folder for the bootsound and i know you must integrate the sound with the animation in your system. Find a lot of How to´s for ather Phones but nothing work. Hopefully anyone can help me.
To share here my progress with you I still tag on on what.
The link: http: // androidforums.com/ascend all ... animation.html or the file them you can load on the side like to me very well (the video looks at you simply). Strangely the boat animation also runs on the GT, however, here I must pronounce a Wahrnung. The AC (BA=Bootanimation " has to write out no leisure always ") is for a Huawei with Cyanogen 6MOD. How said she runs, however, you headline yours build.prop, init.local.rc, bootsound files if it is done after instructions (what one does because it should run). This becomes to you at the latest the disaster when her WLan needs. You can switch on it, it scans, then, however, no more and switches off itself again, also the repeated try nothing brings.
I have to circumscribe tried the init.local.rc file, however, has not succeeded me, there as on top described it must be further integrated in the system and there I have no plan from.
There is a possibility on his calculator to test his own AC also with sound, nevertheless, can not be stored whole. The Coder of the Proggis still does not know like this goes contact with Him has.
Here his tool: here is the tool
Here the TUT for it: TUT
The BA on top you find here: LCARS
Further I have tried with anhäangendem link in 1 post http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-gt540/261469-change-your-boot-animation-d.html however, did not go as further on top described.
In search of BA's I have found them:Boat animation collection
If I are supposed to get further you from me hear.

[GUIDE] Modding the Stock ICS 4.0.3 Launcher | No Search | 4x5 Grid | 1-7+ Screens

Introduction
I originally removed the search bar and changed the stock grid in the Galay Naxus ICS launcher (here) and it was a well received mod.
Since Android was updated to 4.0.3 my method broke and needed to be adapted. On top of this a lot of people have asked me how it's done so they can apply it to other ROM's. In the interests of the community I have therefore written some basic instructions to allow you to do this and some other stuff by yourself. I've provided a link below to a Google Doc.
How To
Remove the search bar
Increase the grid to 4x5 (or anything you like)
Decrease the number of home screens below 5
Increase the number of home screens above 5
Notes
Note that these are written for a specific version of the launcher and you may need to adapt some things as you go but this will probably make the journey easier.
You will need to know how to use apktool before you start.
All Here
Tweaking the ICS Launcher (Google Doc)
If this helps you, remember to hit 'Thanks' below.
Thank you very much... do you know how to optimize the launcher to be 240 dpi compatible?

No, not off the top of my head, I've never tried.
But I'm pretty sure you'd start with /res/values/dimens.xml. I'd make no other changes first and then just manipulate the grid size and margins/padding a little by little in /res/values/dimens.xml until you got the desired result.
After that you could then proceed to make other changes as required.
If you find the ideal layout for 240 let me know and I'll add it to the doc and provide credit.
Very nice. So in order to nuke the search bar and keep the native screen layout, could one just edit the search_bar.xml? Or would we need to do the smali edits as well?
You're awesome, I used your galaxy nexus apk and just tweaked the values in the xml using your guide so it would display properly on my SGS and i'd get to keep the transparent folder mod you did. Many thanks for the guide and for figuring out the method. It's great having 5 rows and no Google bar Now I can use stock launcher as my default again, love the animation while going through app drawer.
nice!thank u
launcher adjust
I know this an older thread but, I would like to change to the app flow from right to left to up and down if possible in the drawer? cm9 standard launcher. What's the XML edit for it?

I'm not sure that would be a simple xml edit I'm afraid. I don't know where that's constructed off the top of me head sorry.

No problem.
Even though I use Nova I did it too with the JB launcher. I noticed that you can also change a couple of things in dimens and integers too.
Max folder size = 20
folder x = 4
folder y = 5
folder cell width = 85 (or something close to that)
That will also give you 4x5 folders, centred on the screen with 20 items max (instead of 16). Perfect.
I'll update the guide at some time...

Hello Note 2 Friends,
For those who want an intro, please read the history below but for those in a hurry (hope you know what you are doing) then just read on.
NOTE: This mod is FREE for any user or dev to use in their ROMs. I allow anybody who is interested to use/alter this mod as they want because I believe it is the only way to make it better. If you are using this mod in your custom ROM and would like me to post links to your ROM thread here, then please let me know. User choice is a good thing.
NOTE: The major hurdles for this project is already done. It is confirmed working and is being used by some custom roms throughout the Note 2 forums and its variants. Future developments will now only be incremental updates for new firmware versions and some minor features.

5. To add more apps to the multiwindow bar/tray, use my Xposed Multiwindow Apps Manager module (requires that you already have Xposed Framework installed) which you can download on my dedicated thread HERE. Enabling/disabling apps requires a soft reboot for system to recognize the change.
6. ENJOY! POST FEEDBACK and SCREENSHOTS or VIDEOS.
7. A simple THANKS would be nice.
NOTE: In using these mods, you may lose mods/features that you already installed previously that affects the following files ( SystemUI.apk, SecSettings.apk, FlashBarService.apk, framework-res.apk, services.jar and android.policy.jar).
Moving from one UI to another affects stability of stock apps so you might want to choose alternatives. Use Xposed App Settings to correct misplaced layouts of stock apps or you can import apps from Note 10.1, note 8 and Tab 2. Use multi-dpi Play Store. I suggest you choose one UI and optimised apps for it and stick with it. TW Launcher does not like changing UI so you may encounter frequent FC so be sure you install alternative launcher. You can go to settings and delete data for TW Launcher to fix it. Stock browser does not like window mode so it is best to use the Note 8 stock browser. Dialer/Contacts will have layout issues and may FC in window mode so I advise not to launch it in window mode or you can just use Note 10.1 or Note 8 Contacts/Dialer which solves this issues or better yet install alternative Contacts/Dialer from PlayStore.

THREAD HISTORY BELOW: For those who want to know how it started.
******************************************************* How it started... ******************************************************
Hello Note 2 Friends,
I hope you don't mind me crashing into your forum. First, I want to tell you I don't have a Note 2 but I have a Note 1 and some Note 2 users who have been following my threads in the Note 1 forum have been nagging me for quite some time now about bringing some features of my mods from Note 1 to Note 2. It took me awhile but I decided to give it a shot, but I was hoping I could get your help along the way. This is a work in progress (or development in progress) and I ask you to understand the limitations that I have considering I don't own the device. If in the process I am not able to achieve the goal I set out to accomplish, I would ask the moderators to delete this thread but in the meantime, to those who are interested, please, let us help each other achieve the goal.
So what is the goal?
The goal is to get a working TouchWiz Tablet UI and Phablet UI with floating multiwindows using the stock Note 2 systemui/frameworks so all the stock features are maintained and at higher dpis so text and pages are readable. The end goal is something like the photos at the bottom of this post.
I intend to do this in several stages.
1. Make a multi-dpi SystemUI that can scale from Tablet, Phablet and Phone dpis.
2. Trigger Tablet and Phablet UI at higher densities to make texts and pages readable.
3. Floating Multiwindows.
Before I proceed I want to make it clear that this goal may or may not be achievable because of my limitations and maybe limitations of code in the stock Note 2 firmware. I have not tested this on a Note 2 device and I posted it here to solicit volunteers for testing and for feedback. In the process of testing, please let me know any issues (possibly with more details, descriptions and screenshots) so we can iron out those issues.
Let us start with stage 1.
Requirements: rooted deodex rom - XXDMC3 (I used Wanam's XXDMC3 Rom as base so it is preferable to start with that, although it may work with other roms. But since it is a first stage, I want to be close to stock as possible and do themes/mods later). Please make a backup before you proceed - Very Important.
a. Install an alternative launcher like Apex or Nova, etc.
b. Install an alternative keyboard like Swype, Swiftkey, etc.
c. Download THIS and flash thru recovery. Reboot.
d. Now, let us test if it works.
e. Install build prop editor and change ro.sf.lcd_density value to 200 (tablet).
f. See if tablet UI is triggered at 200 dpi. If it is, then good.
g. Test Phablet UI by changing ro.sf.lcd_density value to 220. Then Reboot.
h. Waiting for your feedback...
Note: These are the dpis for the different UIs: 221 to 320 -> Phone UI, 201 to 220 -> Phablet UI, 160 to 200 -> Tablet UI.
******************************************************************************************************************
Stage 2
It seems Stage 1 is complete but only for some ROMs - the reason I believe is due to heavy modification of the SystemUI specially with regards to battery themes and maybe the use of addon frameworks like simplistic but tablet UI works with unmodified and slightly modified N7100 MC3 roms.
Stage 2 is partly done by stage 1 already because tablet UI is triggered at higher densities. Technically, tablet ui for the Note 2 is supposed to start at 144 dpi and phablet ui at 192 dpi but because of the modified frameworks, it is triggered at minimum 200 for tablet and minimum 220 for phablet. I dont know if tablet @ 200 dpi or phablet @ 220 dpi is good enough for you Guys size-wise as I can not see without a test device so you will have to tell me the sweet spot (what dpi) for tablet and phablet so I can modify the triggered density and make adjustments in spacing/padding of the navigation buttons/lockscreen shortcuts, etc. If you use _TB_TB xposed Tablet UI trigger found HERE with the Xposed Framework and trigger tablet ui at different densities and see which is the "sweet spot" dpi. Another is modifying Settings to include the quick launch option to enable/disable quicklaunch options on the systembar.
NOTE: While _TB_TB (he is the author of TabletUI trigger by the way) made a post here to not mess with dpi, that is what TabletUI trigger actually does. The difference between his method and mine is that mine has fine-grained control and can give you the option to move from one UI to another with properly spaced nav bar buttons. When and "IF" my mod is finished I will provide a very simple app to move from one UI to another and from Stock Multiwindow or Floating Multiwindow. Please take note of the word "IF" because there is a possibilty that the Note 2 firmware may not have the code for these features like it does for the Note 1 and Note 10.1 and Note 8.
Reading some of the posts, I believe a lot of devs have already attempted to go past Stage 3 and encountered some problems/issues considering they have a device to test with so I am thinking maybe Note 2 does not have the essential codes for floating windows. I believe they are smart enough to know how floating windows works and how it is enabled. This makes me think twice whether to proceed to stage 3 or not. But there is one test I need to make to know if it works or not but that would be on stage 3 so now you just have to tell me the best tablet dpi or phablet dpi and please post screenshots of graphical errors or whatever so I know how to fix them.
For those using the tablet and phablet UI, I know there are layout problems with stock apps because they can't scale well at lower dpis. You can use alternative Note 10.1 or Note 8 ported apps which are already in their respective forums and I recommend you use xposed framework and app settings module to set your preferred app layouts. Another is modifying Flashbar multiwindow for multi-dpi but I need to get the screen dimensions so I can properly mod it. If you install Screeninfo app, it will tell you the screen sizes (w x h) if using tablet/phablet ui and let me know the dimensions or maybe a screenshot so I will be able to modify Flashbar correctly.
For other Note 2/SGS 3 models like AT&T and Verizon, etc, you need to give me your Rom-related files so I can mod them. I need the SystemUI.apk, FlashBarService.apk, SecSettings.apk, framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk, android.policy.jar and services.jar. Please state the device model and JB version so I can properly label them for others.
*************************************************************************************************************************************
Stage 3
Stage 3 is complete at least for the N7100 model with MC3 firmware. There are some limitations with the floating windows of Note 2 like no "Resize button" when apps are maximized/fullscreen because there are missing drawables in framework-res.apk and some incomplete multiwindow code. The truth is the Note 1 has more mature multiwindow code than the Note 2 and because of not having this device I could not possibly recreate the missing resources and code that are missing in Note 2 firmware. In fact, I would say the Note 2 JB 4.1.1 has more complete resources and code for floating multiwindows than the JB 4.1.2. If anyone is interested in the JB 4.1.1 then you can send me a PM together with the necessary files and I'll try to do the same mod for you.
Disclaimer: Please don't do this if you don't know what you are doing. Do this at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damages this may do.

*"setting" I mean like my attach.
thx
sorry for bad english..
Edit: floating multiwindows not work
SystemUI keeps crashing here.
X-Note v2.1 Zero
No floating windows in WanamLite rom. Will try another one.
Anyway thanks alot xperiacle, good work!
Try this samsung keyboard: works in tablet mode:

AFAIK in note2 devices dpi 145~160 is for tablet (145 gives cleaner UI) and 213 for phablet, please try it. User of Meoo's note 10.1 port.
This is just the first step towards the goal of floating Windows guys. It's not there yet. Xperiacle stated this is first step. He doesn't own the device. Just want to make sure the system can function at multiple dpi's. The next step will come later after having success with that.

Bootanimation

Is there any way to make a bootanimation landscape and with sound ? I have tried and tried to figure it out and can't get it to do either. Well in lollipop at least. I did have cloudy with a bootanimation but not landscape and it had sound. I am completely stumped. I have a certain theme I am doing with my device and to have the boot animation to be landscape and with sound would complete my project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't recall if I've installed a custom boot anim in L yet... I think I have. I hope I get your question.
But just create the animation content (foreground) rotated 90 degrees (landscape for the foreground), leaving the background OEM (height and width). It should run perfectly.
The sound file is a separate sound file (ogg)

Effectively you are creating an animated 'gif', in a manner. If I take Photoshop as the example:
check out this as an example.
http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/create-animated-gifs-images-using-photoshop-cs6/ or an editor of your choice.
and this guys tutorial
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ac...ions-collection-tutorial-updated-10-19-a.html
You will create you background at the resolution (1080 W x 1920 H shutdown animation, boot animation full HD 1440 W x 2560 H are common resolutions for the G3) you wish for the animation, say solid black or what ever.
If you fully create your own, you will first set up the resolution and make your background color, then rotate the base image. Then create layers for each frame/cell of your animation. As you already rotated you base image to landscape, your layers will also be in landscape. Then copy each cell into a layer.
Create the animation, save each frame out as a jpg, create the desc.txt file, and zip it up, install (renaming your OEM animation to save them, and set permissions 644.
Following the guys tutorial, you can download animations, and deconstruct them, using parts as you wish.
Good luck.
I'm making my own Mortal kombat bootamimation from new game coming out. I have it full screen with a boot animation tool I found but can get poweron.ogg to play sound upon boot on lollipop candy5 ... Placed it in system/media/audio/ui but it is a no go.... With so7nd it would be soooo sick.
But I'll check out the links you gave me so maybe I get get it I'm landscaped instead of this full screen portrait cause it does look a little wonky

[BootTheme] MotoBlack v2.0 by xpmule 2016

I would say this is my best attempt at a Black mod of the stock default BootLogo.
I tried a huge amount of logo's and colors and effects but i was going for a simple style.
I re-created every single image in intense detail.
I also will start calling these a Boot "Theme"
This is a package made up of not just the Boot-Logo but ALL the Bootloader's 27 images.
So in reality it's far more of a theme than just a Logo.
I started doing this because i noticed a sloppy lame effort by Motorola on the default Logo.bin
I think my "themed" BootLogo came out looking a LOT better.
FEATURES:
- 5 separate flashable Boot Logo Sets (all using the same Menu Buttons)
- High Resolution.. Images @ 245 DPI (DPI of the Moto-E ?) Logo sourced from High Res 1600x1600.
- Smallest File Size.. I was aiming for performance + quality (This is far smaller than the default Logo.bin)
- Tested.. Charging etc + Flashing via TWRP & ADB/PC on Marshmallow & Lollipop.
- Simple Style.. Boot Logo Text "Android" dropped / removed. (just because)
- Unlocked Boot Logo.. Same Logo for Locked or Unlocked Bootloaders (Unlock Warning Removed)
- New Bootloader Buttons.. Colors were chosen carefully to make navigation more intuitive.
- Bootloader Button Text.. Changed the Menu Options Text to be shorter and more descriptive.
- Optimized Graphics.. Flat PNG's made with Adobe Fireworks (32bit, 245DPI) + cut away unneeded space.
- Cleaned up.. Removed the 3 Charging Images because they are never used (replaced with 1 pixel images)
- Improved Arrow Buttons.. Fixed alignment and created new images with a gradient effect (Wingdings3 font)
- Improved Menu Text.. Used much larger font size to make it easier to read (Droid Sans)
- Droid_Operation.. Android Robot on Bootloader was made larger and centered and a bit darker.
- Flashable Zip Format.. Or if you want to use ADB/PC to flash it just extract the Logo.bin from the zip file.
- Supported Systems.. Android 5.0, 5.1, 5.1.1 & 6.0
Note: I used the update-binary from inside the MotoBootLogoMaker Program + my own Update Script.
So comments / suggestions are welcome..
I did already make a few variations such as a Blue Sky with some clouds glass effect Logo.
I may share that one too later but i wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions or requests.
Note: I originally did this Logo Dark-Grey but felt the Blue color was a bit better.
I also did a Logo that matched the original shade of blue (all with black backgrounds)
And yeah i have seen others do it already.. but they usually do a sloppy job of it.
I also wanted to share this thinking some people may want it simply to use the Buttons etc.
So people feel free to take my Logo.bin and put your own Logo-Picture in and share it etc.

EXPECT MORE !
I am reserving this spot for a couple of the variations i made.
(most of the work is already done)
PS:
Expect more = i mean, Expect more from us who make & share things.. don't settle for sloppy crap
EDIT:
Here is a variation i was going to add.. Same logo as what i already uploaded but i put some effects on it.
So do you people think it's better with or with out the Text (new or old font?) sometimes i like all 3.
Anyway, does this one look interesting?
Other Logo suggestions etc ?

Well since i edited my last comment i went and threw together + Tested another Logo quick..
It's the same as the first one but a different Main Logo. (download = post attachment)
MotoBlack v2.1 "DarkFeather"
Same as first one just a new main Logo..
MotoBlack v2.2 "VerticalLines"
Last one for a while
This one is the same but a new Logo featuring India.
MotoBlack v2.3 "Earth"

love it! see if u can silhouette a face or a canadian leaf(flag?) in the reflection!
@lenigma1too
Not a bad suggestion.
I imported a bunch of different CAN flags into the PhotoShop Plugin i am using on Fireworks
(Custom Reflection Maps) combined with the Alien Skin Glass effect but sadly it just wasn't working too good
I may have a another go at it to see if i can get something though.
I just wanted to acknowledge your suggestion and let you know i did look into it.
It did give me some ideas and experimenting is good so it wasn't a loss.
Feedback is welcome guys and do whatever you want with these i shared.

Thanks i hope you guys like the Bootloader Menu buttons i took a long time on those.
If someone wanted them i can share the editable PNG's i used to make them.
I created one file with all options inside it..
I also have been using the DarkFeather one for myself ever since.
One thing i noticed is there is a difference in brightness between my phone and my PC.
So i sometimes i quickly go back and adjust the brightness to make the Logo way darker.
The Boot screen tends to make true black super bright

I'm actually scared to try this because, the boot menu buttons are different in my phone.. I think it's because I've an older bootloader? So This theme " might" mess up my bootloader.. So can you just send the logo.bin file for those 2 themes? Thanks in advance
Sent from my XT1521 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Quality workmanship... Lenotorola should b embarrassed!
Yeah dude, super impressed. As I stated before I have three of these phones, and I enjoyed your bootloader theme so much it's now on all three of them! Two of them are daily drivers, & third one is my ROM/App tester, as it has a small crack in the screen, thus ->> not a daily driver. Out of all the logo.bins' ive flashed, and mods installed, & Everything I've ever loaded, yours are by far the most detailed and beautifully constructed visuals I've ever had! And the details with the bootloader images & the buttons/keys & the front? Better than icing on the cake, it's like butter icing in a spoon (if that could be any better?!? Lolz!) Come to think of it, I think I've only ever encountered one other flash that change the font. Never mind changing all 27 images, centering them and graphic resizing them so it looks appropriate and proportional!
My hat goes off to you sir!
Its such a quality job, rest assured they will be on every Moto E 2nd edition I ever own, I ever fixed, or repair...
I somehow end up doing a lot of those last two things
@ lenigma1too
Thanks for the kind words
I did this for myself like i was saying when i seen how sloppy the default Moto buttons were.
It would be easy for me to make the txt in the menu items like the original bootloader (if you all want)
And yeah the TXT alignment was irritating the hell out of me on the original menu items.
They would jump around all over LOL
And to the other guy i have no reason to believe it would be a problem on your phone.
All these do is change the pictures.. that is it.
It does nothing else like modifying the Bootloader or changing fonts etc.
And i have been downloading and comparing Firmware packages since 5.0
And the stock Logo.bin from Motorola has never changed.
For example..
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA_5.0.2_LXI22.50-53.8_cid14_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
MD5: af89b4f5f32b6a16e6b8611e5b7051e0
XT1527_SURNIA_RETUS_5.1_LPI23.29-18.9_cid9_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
MD5: af89b4f5f32b6a16e6b8611e5b7051e0
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA_6.0_MPI24.65-39_cid14_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
MD5: af89b4f5f32b6a16e6b8611e5b7051e0
And MANY more i tested.. ALL them exact same !
One thing i did notice i think though is on Lollipop Bootloaders
the entry for WIFI Flash would show up and can be seen..
But On Marshmallow Bootloaders it's now gone.
It's the Bootloader that controls that stuff.. it decides.
I do not think WIFI Flash was ever implemented for real.
It was a beta feature in the works i seen after googling it recently back on Lollipop.
Which seems to be removed from Marshmallow (at least the visible text / menu entry anyway)
So guy..
I said in the first post either flash it with TWRP etc
OR.. just extract the Logo.bin file from the zip file and use ADB to flash it.
And if anyone is curious what is inside them just download "MotorolaBootLogoMaker"
then open the Logo.bin i shared and browse to see all the images. (or add you own instead etc)
Flashable zip files are just normal zip files guys.
So there is no point in me uploading the theme logo 2 times.
Also i had debated on sharing a different version of the planet one.
I had originally made it all blue using a color filter effect but i opted to share the full color one even though both looked good.
The other major reason i did these was the Bootloader menu options were so hard to read.
I wanted to make the text on the menu options way bigger.
I flashed it and man it looks so damn cool! Thanks @xpmule . Btw is there a way to freeze the phone at the bootlogo for a longer time so i can look it the cool logo ? Hehe
Edit:
This theme is so good it makes me want a special bootanimation.. Something like the Earth bootlogo, but the earth spins and u can see the cool lights as night approaches in different countries :silly::silly:
I do not think you can stop it..
Thanks for the feedback too
I also had thought of making an animated Bootlogo to go with these too.
To start a black background conversion of the original Animation
and then a couple variations too.
But i had issues with the tools and then keep forgetting.
One issue is most Logos's and animations are image based,
so if i took one of them and modded it i have to covert it to a video so i started looking into that
I know i can probably use ffmpeg via commandline but i wanted a program with a GUI (i found one)
SO there is more to come
It would make more sense to be calling it a Boot theme if included an Animation also.
i really just wanted a mod of the original one with black-backgrounds to make it easier on my eyes.
That is the main point here for all this..
In case you guys didn't know you can use ANY video as a Bootloader-Animation.
So the options are limitless. (You can also convert animated images into videos too)
But be careful installing the old style Moto v1 BootAnimations some of them may brick your phone.
*Some* of the older more common animated JPEG sets seem to work and other trap your phone into a bootloop
I know i did it myself LOL
What i did was get a BootAnimation zip that had inside it jpeg's (it was an official Moto one untouched with same 540x960)
But it got part way through then locked up.. my phone could not boot afterwards and i had to restore from a back-up.
You can tell them apart by opening any BootAnimation.zip file
then checking if you see a ton of jpeg's or 2 mp4 files (mp4 = new version on Moto E 2015)
The first mp4 is a short clip meant to play once then the 2nd super short one is meant to loop / repeat.
This make it last longer if the Booting takes longer than normal etc. (so the video animation can vary in length dynamically)
Lastly i did some digging and i got the Encoder settings for the official Motorola Boot Animations
And then i created a profile for the x264 encoder on Avidemux (to create video's exactly like the originals)
Blah blah blah
Point is i will work up some more stuff to share soon i think LOL
Menu Buttons Source
So i zipped up the source to the buttons and added them here as an attachment.
This includes the Font i used and the editable PNG and a note text file.
The text file lists the original + changed colors and names.
The font.zip has all Droid fonts but i only used "Droid Sans regular" 40 point (and Wingdings 3 default on Win7)
Note: the PNG has the two little arrows "grouped" together. (right click them and select un-group in Fireworks)
Only 1 text entry and arrow set should be visible then save..
Then on next button hide those and make 2 other ones visible and save again.
Then put them in MotoBootLogoMaker.. save, flash & boot
I have lots of weird fonts.. i could do the buttons in Klingon if needed but i was going for "normal" LOL
The point to this was i was just trying to make the menu buttons easier to read and maybe look a bit nicer.
But if anyone wants what i used to make their own mod feel free to do what ever you all want with this stuff.
Fonts included their respective license files (Apache)
Here is another another one just a different main logo.
This is the default Marshmallow BootLogo converted to a Black background.
It has a nice smooth result because i used a color filter to flip Black/White while keeping Color.
I also upped the DPI to 245 (from 72)
Couple quick notes..
First the original png can only be found inside the bootanimation.zip listed as SOL.png
If you go get the same picture from the stock Logo.bin it will be the old version
as seen on Lollipop Firmware's and on Current Marshmallow Firmware's.
Why care?
Because it's different.
It has subtle textures applied to it and a slightly different color of Blue.
It also matches the BootAnimation "Stitches" for Marshmallow by Motorola.
And yes i have started working on converting the animation to go with this too.
But it's a LOT of work !
I have made a test so far and the result is the video encoder i used is making the black a bit too bright.
And because of the background now being black the texture flickering is far more noticeable
then it is on the stock white one from Moto.
So i am not sure how the "Stitches" animation converted to Black is going to work out.
I guess i will finish making it soon and upload it and you all can decide..
In the meantime i uploaded here the Boot LOGO part as an attachment.. flashable.zip / tested
(hopefully you guys got what i meant by all this rambling)
EDIT:
Added the test MP4 video i was talking about earlier as a zipped attachment.
It's the 2nd part of the default MM animation with a Black background conversion.
You can all probably see how the Texture flickers and is noticeable in Black.
PS:
Let me know if these pictures are killing your browser.
I can re-size them smaller if they are too much..
EDIT2: "stitches update"
I changed tools and got a better more exact result using FFMPEG.exe
So far i completed the 2nd 4 second clip matching the encoder settings 99.99 exact as the original.
The next one is 14 seconds long so will be more work / time.
What i had to do was dump every single video frame out into a lossless image format
then apply a Photoshop Filter (using Fireworks) effect to each individual image frame one by one.
the 4 seconds clip required me editing 96 images totaling around 100mb's.
Thank god for keyboard shortcuts LOL
So i will for sure finish it up and test it then upload it soon guys.
To recap, this will be the Boot-Animation for Marshmallow called "Stitches" with a black background.
And it will match perfectly the Boot logo i uploaded on this comment v2.4
MotoBlack v2.4 "Stitches"
These are really great logos. My favorites are the Moto Black with the solid black background and the Moto Black Stitches. I have always liked the simple Motorola logo and these are super clean. Did the glass reflection logo get removed?
Thank you for your work.

Thanks for letting me know.
I did not make the Blue Glass Logo into a Logo.bin.
Was not sure it was good enough to be honest.
I posted it as sample to see if anyone was interested if i made it into a Logo.bin file.
I tend to like the simple ones myself and dark too.
Anything i have shared i hope is dark so the icons on the home-screen are easy to see.
I don't like bright wallpaper backgrounds they are too distracting.. and can be too bright i think.
There will be more uploaded i have some ideas i am working on.
If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them. (or questions)
Thanks for the feedback :good:
@xpmule
What program did you use to modify the logo.bin file? I've tried what I found online to no avail.
Thank you.
