huaweiascend p6 touchscreen problem
Hi Friends,
Would be great if somebody could help me!
At the left bottom part of the screen, the step-back arrow does not work properly at browser screen. It must be pushed quite strongly to let it work, while the right arrow, the step-forward one works with the slightest touch. For safety sake I tried the smae part of the touch-screen at the normal key-pad, when writing sms. There were no problem at all! What do you think about it? Is ita fatal problem, the whole touch screen must be changed? Or?

i have XDA trion and apart of the problem i have with teh alignment of the screen which i find out that is practically unsolvable, i have another problem which is as much annoying as the alignment one:
when i tap on an area somewhere in the center of the screen it closes my window in portrait mode and opens start menu in landscape mode (obviously when i tap there it actually taps on the upper right corner where the X button is when in portrait and the start menu when in landscape )
that does happen only when i tap in a little area right at the center of the screen and seems to be different from the usual misallignment that i have (and many others )
can anyone help me please

welcome to the forum,
I recommend using the hardware buttons to go to start/settings/system/screen/align
and if that doesn't help, hard reset

i already installed a new ROM but still doesnt fix it ...
mabe i will have to end up spending 100 EU for new screen
any otehr suggestions?
sorry, I assumed you were new due to join date and first post, hence my first reply.
give us a couple more details when you post please, such as did you buy it brand new/second hand? if it's not new how long have you had it? has it just started doing this recently after behaving like a good pda for ages? or has it always done this? which rom are you running? and is it the official one?
anyway, you could try removing the casing and clean around the edges of the screen, I've read of dirt/grime getting built up and stuck, which can cause this problem. if you don't know how to remove the case (I don't either)-Google

i was working yesterday and my phone was in my pocket and was squished against my keys! the screen is cracked... but it isn't, i think its the touch censor screen or something as i can see the screen fine just with a crack in the middle... anyway i cant use the screen to touch
i am using wm 6.5 and i accidentlly pressed the lock button in the start menu and cant seem to get passed the wm6.5 slide2unlock screen!
i try'd a soft reset but it is there as soon as it turns on
i dont want to hard reset because i would need to use the screen calibration (plus i havnt backed up my contacts and have some important messages!)
it is really frustrating i try'd deleting the files in the windows directory but it says it is read only and i cant delete it!
and im a bit broke and cant afford a new screen!
could someone please help

I'm no expert in this field, but have tried to sync the phone and unlock it from there? raspberry tru connect is an excellent program and if your d pad still works you should be able to install it and use the mouse cursor to do what you need to.
I have also heard of booting in safe mode, although I have no experience in it, but I'm sure if you check the wiki of your device you should find an answer.
Hope one of these help.

Not that I know of because of the installation needed on the device. If the ROM you are installing does not have the setup features and are already calibrated then you can install the program like before and be good to go.

because it is seriously bugging me knowing im stuck with this rom until i can buy a new screen

Sure thing. I should be flashing this weekend if not sooner. Trying to get a few programs to play nice together and not having any luck.
I'll let you know when I do and we'll see if it works and go from there.

hi friends, it's nice to see people helping each other on this website.
now i am in trouble. i am using htc touch. not sure which one, as there are so many touch phones available. it's not first generation touch. i bough it in Feb 2008.
it's on windows mobile, not sure on version. this phone's screen has normal opening lock where we enter some numbers to get into screen. this screen is forzen I am not able to click anywhere on screen - i mean it does not respond. i tried restarting phone, reset with red button and remove bettery for 2 days... nothing works... looks like the screen alignment is disturbed...
there is nothing major important in this phone, can somebody please suggest on how to reinstall OS or ROM(dont know what is this ROM thing) or anyother help?

Hi guys,
I really need some help since my phone is not responding to any touch.the hard keys are working .but there is no response to touch screen.i have restarted,rebooted and even tried some different Nand ROM's on my HTC HD2.i have been using this phone since last 10 months.If I could get some help regarding this matter ,i will be very thankful.

Hi, my htc polaris touch screen started acting strange today. Touch screen do not respond or when you touch it it randomly respond with a random command (not the one I intended to) There is no crack or physical damage. Hardware buttons seems to respond correctly. (By the way the picture on the screen is ok, I mean you see what you supposed to see, it just doesn't respond)
Anyone had similar problem? Can you advise me what to do? Thanks

use CalibrationData to fix it
i figured out that by changing sttings/home/theme from htc to windows default, screen started responding. So it looks like a software failure (theme called htc). I am still interested in a better solution.

just with extract and import files CalibrationData.reg using Resco registry to your device
Hi! I have an issue when im trying to connect the captivate to the tv... i can see the image, but... the touch buttons go crazy (home, search and back).
Begin to push themselves many times and not let me use the phone "well"
There is any way to fix that problem, or at least lock the touch pads?

A little more info would help. What Rom, etc. r u running ?? And any other info that u might find useful to provide that might help in getting a better answer for ya. Anything major u have done to the phone as of late, mods, etc. Thx.
