I've made a horrible mistake.
I was on 5.9.16, tried to downgrade by flashing system, recovery, cust and crc.
Unfortunately I've done it with B316, which is 4.4.4, so i got this annoying bootloop, in which i can't access recovery, bootloader or use the 3 buttons method.
It seems as if the phone tries to forcefully boot into system ignoring everything I do.
I tried draining the battery to turn it off, which worked, but when i charged it it tried to system boot as soon as there's enough battery.
Any ideas?
i have the same problem but solved to boot into bootloader
it just the timing must be perfect as it is only small window to enter
what i do is i push the on button and - sound button
when the phone vibrate i quickly insert usb cable before the honor logo comes out
sometimes when it fails also i will try push the - sound button several time with the usb cable inserted

Ok so I am trying to install ICS on my LG925 but I have a problem. My phone seems to be stuck in download mode. When I power off the phone the only way I am able to reboot it is to remove battery, plug usb into wall jack, plug usb into phone, hold volume up and power insert battery. When I see the lg logo I remove USB and the phone boots up. But like I said everytime I power down the phone I must go through this process. Already tried factory defaulting but it made no difference.
I am using lgmobile support tool to restore phone now. I believe I have already tried this without success though. The phone updates without a problem, but when rebooting the phone remains in s/w upgrade mode. (at least I believe that's what mode it's in the screen remains black but it does communicate with the pc.
After finally getting through the ICS install correctly my phone is now booting properly again. Nice to finally have ICS now to find and apply all the bug fixes.
So my nexus 5 was running android 6.0.1 July security update, and I flashed 4.4.4 factory image yesterday so that I can maybe root it more easily. However, after I flashed the ROM it got stuck on "four dots animation", so I left it for an overnight booting. It didn't boot up. I also cant access bootloader because when I press the Volume Up+Volume Down+Power button combination it just restarts the "four dots animation". My Nexus 5 now isn't recognized by my windows so i don't know what to do. If anyone has any idea please comment your suggestion.
Tnx in advance.

keep holding just Power+Volume Down, should work. If not, let it fully drain the battery, then plug it into wall charger for like 30 min, and unplug it. Only then press and hold Volumedown and power
Hopefully this is just a software issue because I had something similar to this before where it would bootloop at the Google logo and it turned out that I needs to get my power button replaced. Since yours has got past the Google logo tho and on to the animation, I'd imagine its just software and you should be able to fix it.
If you plug it into your PC while its off and it starts charging, you may be able to boot through to fastboot from there using the ADB & Fastboot Utility's on your computer, boot into recovery mode and swap the rom.
Best of luck!
If your phone is stuck at bootloop. Easy fix is to mount system/cache again. See the following guidefor whole procedure.
https://itechify.com/2016/04/01/fix-failed-mount-cache-invalid-argument/
Hard fix is to flash the ROM again.
I had the same issue, first method worked out for me.
Best of luck.
After unlocking the bootloader, does it re-lock when the phone is rebooted into fastboot? When unlocking the bootloader, does it only take a few seconds for the phone to wipe the data paritions? If the answer is yes to either question, the emmc chip is damaged and the motherboard needs to be replaced.
Try flashing the older stock Google ROM image you can find and flash the userdata.img file last. Immediately after flashing userdata, use the physical buttons to boot into recovery and factory reset. If the factory reset can't mount or wipe the partitions, it's probably a hardware issue.
I manage to solve it :good:
In summary:
What lead me to Error Mode:
I wanted to rollback to marshmallow, because i had updated to dual sim nougat (long story) so it was problematic (missing apps ecc.), i tried to install the rollback with "dd if of" before installing the marshmallow firmware with dload but something has gone wrong and the "recovery" and "recovery2" partitions were corrupted and "cust" and "version" as well but because of the update (no update in settings, NDR90M test-keys).
I rebooted in fastboot to patch things up, but the bootloader was locked because to rollback i reinstalled the single sim "oeminfo" partition, so i unlocked the bootloader, but the phone couldn't be factory resetted since it hadn't a working recovery, so the phone apparently refused to boot any other mode than "Error Mode" with the following message:
Error!
Func NO: 11(recovery image)
Error NO: 2(load failed!)
and it wasn't detected by any pc.
How it was solved:
After some googling i found out that let my phone discharge + a button combination could lead to booting into fastboot (https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/help/help-hardbrick-func-11-recovery-image-t3656979), so i left my phone booted in Error Mode.
When it turned off i plugged it into the pc and left it charge a bit, and suprise, after some minute it booted up automatically in system (idk why), but it shutdown on the lockscreen, so i let it fully discharge again in Error Mode and i this time i plugged it into an outlet, and it booted successfully, but to boot into system i had to discharge it completely everytime.
I tried "adb reboot bootloader", "adb reboot recovery" and i tried to factory reset from settings but no luck.
Then i turned it off and i started to spam the **** out of my phone by trying every combination possible, and finally one seems to have lead me to fastboot after a lot of tries: i let it charge a bit while booted into the system (like 8%), then i turned it off, and i tried "Power + Vol+", "Plugged/Unplugged", "Power + Vol-" in random order and multiple times, and it worked, from what i remember it was: Turn off->Power + Vol+ (Error Mode) -> Plugged -> Power + Vol- (Fastboot)" but i'm not sure.
If the bootloader is unlocked and frp disabled it's a matter of hours and some "fastboot flash" before it will be fully functioning again, else i suggest to look in that topic and use dc unlocker as last resort.
let the phone drain the whole battery and then keep pressing volume down and connect it to pc,dont release the volume down till it opens to fastboot mode,if nothing happens in one try give it another shot, keep trying,it will work.thank you
Hey guys - I hope you're doing well.
I recently got an HTC U12+, but wanted to try using a custom ROM due to all of the bloatware . Unfortunately I think I've ended up bricking my device. Here are some things I've since tried:
- Restoring to the backup I made beforehand in TWRP - restore works without any errors, but then just hangs at the boot screen
- Method 1 from this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/u12-plus/how-to/collection-htcu-u12-ruu-firmware-t3794664) - TWRP always says the zip files are corrupted for some reason
- Method 3 from that same thread - this actually worked before, but I tried installing a custom ROM again, somehow messed up again, and now this method no longer works as it just hangs at the "HTC" boot screen for eternity
- Both methods in this thread (https://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-install-htc-firmware-ruu-and-zip/) - the first one leads to a "failed remote 99 ru unknown fail terrible mishap" error, and for some reason my PC doesn't see my phone when I try the second despite being able to see it in file manager
- Probably many other methods that I've now forgotten
I know this is a whole lot of information, but I'm in desperate need of some help. I typically like to troubleshoot things myself, but I've been trying to fix this for quite some time now and could definitely use another set of (much more experienced) eyes. I greatly appreciate any help you guys can provide.
Thanks.
Flash RUU with SD card method
Download RUU from here(important:check your CID): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wIRrVQawd5rD-t9VKPQ-SdRK20RcJVZhwD7lhmPIK8w/edit#gid=0
1. rename RUU to 2Q55IMG.zip
2. copy zip in the root of your sd card. - external card / not internal - it will not work
3. reboot to download mode,
4. your device will pick up the zip file and flash it.
5.follow on screen instructions and enjoy your RUU(this method erase all your data)
I'm having an issue with my u12+ where it just continually reboots to a message saying "The boot loader is unlocked and the software integrity cannot be guaranteed. Any data stored on the device maybe available to attackers, do not store sensitive data on this device" and then it shows the white HTC logo that says Powered by Android down the bottom of the screen, it stays like that for about 5 minutes and then reboots and does the same thing over again.
Holding the power down button does nothing, it will not turn off the phone. Holding power and volume down does nothing either. The phone just does this every 6 minutes and reboots and cycle and that's it.
I've tried putting the file 2Q55IMG_IMAGINE_DUGL_O80_SENSE10GP_hTC_Asia_TW_1.53.709.1_Radio_sdm845-000201b-1807311356_release_531499_signed_2_4.zip (renamed to 2Q55IMG.zip) on the root of a 8gb Fat32 formatted SD card, but I just can't get into recovery or download mode.
I've tried holding down all 3 side buttons for minutes, or just the power button, or combination of buttons, they all do nothing to the phone. (it's as tho they are disabled, but sometimes holding a combination of the 3 will make the phone vibrate a little bit, but in no particular time or order)
When the phone is in either state (locked bootloader message or white HTC logo) my Windows 10 PC sees the phone plugged in as a "USB Input Device", not an Android Phone or Android Device. So using ADB or Fastboot commands do not work to it. I've tried to force the driver to the HTC driver but that does not work.
I also tried using the RUU_IMAGINE_UHL_O80_SENSE10GP_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.30.617.2.exe file, but once again it doesn't detect my phone.
Any help would be kindly appreciated.
Cheers!
EDIT: So I was finally able to get into download mode by waiting until the phone done its 6 minute reboot and then holding power down until it vibrated once, then held volume up until it vibrated again, then let go of the power button, I was then able to choose recovery, download etc.
So I managed to get the file 2Q55IMG.zip to install, it said it installed 100% okay. The phone rebooted and now I'm stuck again just at the white HTC logo and Power by Android down the bottom of the screen.
This time the phone is not automatically rebooting itself and no key combinations will make it reboot. I've tried holding them all in certain combinations for periods of time, the phone will not reboot or turn off.
EDIT 2: So maybe I didn't wait long enough after installing the 2Q55IMG.zip file, I finally got the phone to reboot and now I've got a working phone again. happy days

with the phone off, turn it on,when you feel first vibration
quick release power key and keep push volume down.
Smartphone should boot in bootloader mode.
can you get into this mode with this guide?

Cheer mates, issue sorted. I just updated my comment in my post.
Not sure if I'm game enough again now to try and put LeeDrOiD and Magisk on it.
Hi Everyone,
Recently I have unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp after upgrading to OOS 13 after that I have not able to access any storage(including OTG) so I had changed the format of disk. Now its stuck is bootloader and show qualcomm icon when starting and just keep on trying to boot(stuck at logo not a loop or anything). I am not able to get into the EDL mode or fastboot for that matter any suggestions
Video is uploaded to show the icon it continues to normal oneplus logo boot and stays there
can you hold vol - and power with it unplugged until the screen goes black, then fast as lightning hold both volumes and plug it in? I used to have this device and I'm trying to remember what I did to get out of that.
I had always waited till the phone got discharged and then tried again EDL used to work when I had the flashboot but now it not a possibility it resumes into the unlocked bootloader alert (sometimes press power to pause or continue to boot) and then logo not matter which combo of the buttons I tried
If nothing works you can always take the back off and unplug the battery.
Doesn't discharging the phone will also do the same or are you suggesting me to go into edl by removing battery cover and plugging in like the old mediatek recovery method
Have you tried unplugging the device, using volume up and power to fully shut off the device, then wait a second, and switch to volume up and down, while plugging in? Important to keep it unplugged until going into EDL.
It's already fully shutoff when I discharge it to recover from the boot animation. The keys combo don't work at only power button work to continue or pause boot
