[Completed] Gogle now isn't working - XDA Assist

I'm new here so I'm sorry if there is a thread about this or if I'm doing it wrong. But I haven't been able to find anyone on any internet forums with my issue. Google now doesn't display any cards except for weather and parking location, but only on my phone. On my nexus 7 I get weather plus all of my cards from websites and about certain topics. The only time my phone gives me anything else in Google now is telling me an update about a football game I don't really care about every 5 minutes. I don't understand why it doesn't give me stories on my phone but it does on my tablet. Both have the same version of Android and Google. Both are signed in to the same Google account. And up until they updated Google both of !y devices gave identical cards. I don't really know what to do.

[Q] Google Now problems

So basically I got my Nexus 5 a month ago and from day 1 I could not access Google Now by swiping right on the homescreen. However, "Okay Google" does work.
I have checked my Location Settings and it says that Google Location Reporting is not available in Malta. I do not assume this is the problem since my Maltese friends have Google Now and it work perfectly (not the ones with Nexus 5).
I am running 4.4.2. and I just got the Google + and Google Search updates last night which I installed. Still no Google Now. I cannot even access the settings for Google Now.
I have searched for possible solutions on the internet and there was one post on Google Forums with a bunch of people complaining about this problem but I decided to post on here becase
Maybe we could come up with a possible solution (hopefully one that does not inculde downgrading Google Search)
and secondly to pass on this message. It seems like XDA is a good framework to have complaints go across seeing as Google and LG decided to act on their faulty devices thanks to an XDA thread. (correct me if I'm wrong?)

[Completed] Asus Zenfone 5 - Unfortunately google play services has stopped!

Hi guys
I'm asking you for HELP because I lost hope how to fix my problem with my new Asus Zenfone 5 on my own. I bought phone from China - Spemall.com (good and safe website). Phone is brilliant and very well made all is perfect except one thing - it was no play store installed. All other phones and tablets from them had play store installed this is first time when I had device without it.
I have this phone for two days now I was trying almost everything (in my opinion everything) to install both first Google Play Services and after that Play Store.
I downloaded both latest versions apk and first installed services and after play store but when trying to tap in play store icon all what I getting is
---Unfortunately Google play services has stopped.
I was cleaning data, cache, reinstalling both apps and even I did few times factory reset but nothing. I was still getting famous massage --- Unfortunately Google play services has stopped. Whatever I press Google settings or play store it will always end up in this same way.
Phone is not rooted!!!
I was using guides from you tube because that was easy start and you must start somewhere and sometimes when problem is little you are able to fix it but this time is different and my knowledge and you tube is not enough that's why I asking you guys to help me in this difficult moment.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Best regards
Kabak
I can completely understand your frustration. Since we don't have a forum for your device, may I suggest posting your query in
Android Development and Hacking > Android General ? One of the Experts there will love to help you. Make sure to include your android version when you do so.
You can most certainly get Amazon Appstore installed on the tablet to get you going.
Thank you very much

[Completed] Problem with Play store

When I open the play store app it goes straight to the apps section and not the home page. When in the apps section it only shows 5 tabs - Categories, Want Quick Suggestions, Top Free, Top New Free, and Trending. On top of that most of the apps shown on top of the respective tabs are worthless apps with fake reviews and download numbers. I think that this may be a fake play store, but I can't be sure. I tried uninstalling the updates and clearing the data, but the problem still persists. As of now this problem can be seen on my phone, and my dad's phone and tab. I also tried the Web interface but it's the same story, even in my laptop and my pc. I tried opening the link for the Nexus 5 on my pc and laptop, but it shows that 'Devices on play store are not available in your country' , even though the nexus devices and the android wear devices are available in India. Please Help Me.
Thanks in advance
P. S. : I reside in India and use the Indian Play Store.

[Q] Google Books or Kindle outside the U.S.?

I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong forum section.
Basically I don't live in the US and I have managed to trick Google and Amazon using a USUnlocked credit card. I have the US Playstore and I have a Kindle account. I would like to know which of both services is easier to maintain its bypass forever? Like, would the ever figure out that I tricked them? And if so, would I have a chance to fight back and contact their customer service? I'm not American so I don't have any documents proving that I live in the US.
I am asking because I have had trouble about a year ago with Amazon where they discovered that I had tricked them so they asked me for official documents or else they'd close my account.
The other incident was yesterday when I restored my Android phone to its factory defaults and the first time I opened Google Books, I got a brief error telling me that it's not supported in my country however, the error was gone in a few seconds by itself.
Your help is greatly appreciated and please do not recommend other apps like nook. I want to use either Google Books or Kindle.

[Completed] Cannot Connect to Google Play After Updating to Lollipop (LG G2)

So I wasted a good 5 hours trying to get my phone to connect to the Google Play store. It worked perfectly fine up until I decided to update to Lollipop. Thinking that was the problem I tried a bunch of suggestions online like clearing cache of the app and whatnot. Ended up doing a factory reset to see if it fixed the issue and it did not. No matter what account I tried to log into it would always say it could not connect even though I could use the internet fine on the phone. Ended up trying to log into my main email address on my old phone and found it was doing the same thing. I wake up this morning and my brother tells me he hacked in-app purchases on his phone and can get any in-game item that requires real world money purchases for free. After telling him he's an idiot and could possibly get in trouble with the law and his accounts banned I then realized when he took over my Droid RAZR he has always been using my Google Play account because he is too create his own Google account.
Thus leading me to the conclusion that my Google account has been banned from the play store. I've look all around in my e-mail and can't find any signs of it being banned.
Does anyone here know how I can figure out of this is truly the case? Sorry for the wall of text... and thanks in advance!
Hi
Check this thread for list of known Google Play errors and their solutions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733038
If possible ,try rolling back to older firmware version or reflash newer version to fix any possible firmware errors.
ALso ,you can sign up on forums and post in Q/A section and see if it's a issue related to OTA
