I have a note 3 sm-n900t that I just bought from a private party. He said it's unlocked so I bought it and haven't had any issues until I upgraded to lollipop. One I upgraded via Odin I was having issues so I found out a factory reset would fix most issues. So after a factory reset it seemed better but had no network and the phone kept telling me I needed to insert a t-mobile sim. Couldn't find anything on request unlocking so I downgraded back to 4.4.2 and magically my network was back. Not sure what this issue is but I've checked apns and network settings and finding nothing works. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
Edit: I figured It out, it just took an unusual amount of time to connect to my network.

Hi, any help here would be greatly appreciated. My phone says no sim card and I have no network. Now that might not seem like a major problem but my phone has somehow lost its IMEI number. It has just gone! I have not changed the software it is just a standard phone. Any ideas how I get this IMEI back because without it my phone is useless? I have done all the usual factory resets but nothing works.
galaxy doing the same

My wife's samsung galaxy s gt 5380i has suddenly decided not to let her text/call. service state says out of service, mobile network state says disconnected. Her sim works in my iphone, and she has 3 bars showing of her EE signal. I've checked everything I can think of, but no joy. I cleaned the sim contacts, but apart from resetting the phone I'm stymied. My t-mobile sim didn't work in the galaxy either. When trying to call an error message says no mobile network available. I bought the phone a couple of months ago on ebay, it's immaculate and worked flawlessly until this morning. Please help, wife is not impressed...
So I don't know what I was thinking, but last week while on the T-Mobile test run I tried to use the T-Mobile iPhone sim in my m8. I also tried using the VZW sim in the T-Mobile iPhone. Nothing worked. This isn't the problem.
After putting the VZW sim back in my m8, I no longer got 4G and my data connection kept dropping. This Sunday I spend 2 hours at the Verizon store trying to get them to resolve the issue. The idiot at the Verizon store tried to resolve the issue for over an hour using the original sim. After me begging him to stop wasting time and just replace the sim, the issue is still not resolved.
When he originally checked my phone in the database it was coming up as something like "Unknown device" which I'm assuming was caused by placing my sim in the T-Mobile iPhone. After replacing the sim, the IMEI and everything else seemed to be matching according to the guys at Verizon, but I still don't have 4G and data keeps dropping..
Any ideas?
I'm running a GPE rom so I'm wondering if I have to go back to stock to resolve this issue...
Probably need to flash stock recovery and do a factory reset from it. Might not need to fully flash back.
I had this same issue. I would love to fix it but I moved to a OnePlus One on T-Mo. I'd love to get this resolved though.
Had this Nexus 6 on Verizon for about 4 months and everything worked fine, switched to T-Mobile about a week ago and it is having major cell connection issue. Before I put the new sim I flashed the newest 6.0.1 version for the nexus 6 I could find on googles website, had no issue there. Inserted T-Mobile sim card and it worked for like 30 mins then keep disconnecting and connecting randomly, checked the APN setting and it looked exactly like the APN setting on T-Mobiles website. Every time I restart the phone it works perfect for like 30 mins and then the disconnecting begins. Went to T-Mobile and got no useful info on my issue just got 2 extra sim card but issue happens exactly the same on all of them. Checked phone info (*#*#4636#*#*) and that looked like a mess since it keep changing preferred networks from LTE/GSM/CDMA to unknown and T-Mobile info would appear from time to time tried switching bands same issue. I have tried all I know but can't solve this issue, please XDA help fix my phone.
P.Shone was bought from amazon a while back(Checked and is the US version).
Maybe this thread here may help or here.

Thank you for directing me in the right direction, time to read them now. (Hopefully it solves my issue)
A few weeks ago I started having signal losses on my D820, later on it stopped detecting my SIM card altogether after I reset it.
It's been going on-and-off until about 2 weeks ago when a factory reset and cache wipe seemed to have fixed the problem - or so I thought - until it happened again today in what seems to be a permanent metamorphosis of my phone into an over-glorified 5" tablet with NFC.
So I started snooping around the googles, seems to be a common problem.
(can't post links yet but google isn't lacking results under "nexus 5 no sim no signal" and "Nexus 5 SIM not recognizing")
So far none of the "Turn airplane mode on and off" or "Reinsert the SIM / clean the slot" tech support quotes helped. The phone is physically intact, and none of the 3 SIMs I have in my disposal get any signal on the device in the rare case they even get recognized (My brother's G4 works fine with all 3). I did a few full factory flashes - ROM, Radio, recovery, everything (M4B30Z - latest 6.0.1, MMB29S, and even went back to 5.1.1 LMY48M). Also tried the latest CM13 snapshot, later on with a factory radio image on top but absolutely nothing. The CM ROM managed to consistently read the SIM but it didn't get any signal.
I would highly appreciate any information or insights, and even though I'm not exactly an expert I will be more than happy to help troubleshooting this jazz.
The phone shows the correct IMEI#? Phone is not blacklisted for some reason?

No reason to believe it is. Had it for over a year now, came unlocked without any contract with in closed packaging from a trusted retailer, IEMI was fine on the day of purchase.
It shows the correct imei via dialler?
Did you check imei on blacklist checker on swappa? Not likely to be blacklisted but you may as well rule it out.
If it's not blacklisted and can't be resolved via flashing roms, it could be a hardware failure.
The IEMI is fine and the phone is clean.
It could be hardware but that doesn't explain the problem being temporarily solved for quite a while by wiping the system, and a lot of the users complaining stated they started having the problem after upgrading to 6.0.1.
I've been running on stock unrooted MM for a while with no problems. A couple of people at work also run stock MM without an issue. I wonder if the problem is related to a particular batch.
Hi all - hoping I can get some help here with the following as I have no idea what to do after failing to find any solutions this far.
I got an ROG Phone 5 (base model) a while back from a well known online marketplace reseller (never again!) and only recently tried using it, but for some reason the phone does not recognise or connect to any network at all. I have attached a few screenshots of what I mean. I get the same thing regardless of whatever SIM I try.
The only possible thing I can think of now (and am dreading) is that it may be a blacklisted phone but no idea how to confirm this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
Does the device have an IMEI? Check that (but don't post your IMEI here).
Yes it does have an IMEI number (two in fact)
this happened to me too. did you find the solution?
This may be because of a recent update.
Remove the sim card, and reset it to factory settings.
There was a recent update that has caused problems.
I have the 5s, and the Wi-Fi connection has not been working since the last update, a few weeks ago. Also, now there is problems with the cellular data connection.
