G900A Root? - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone,
I've been wanting to root my S5 for a while but have been unable to find a way to do so since towel root. There have been no new articles published since 2014 regarding rooting my device, and these are only for kernel version prior to June 2014.
I am running on 4.4.2 with a kernel version of Jul 22.
Is there a root available for my phone? I have been searching everywhere with no luck.
Thanks!

Zimperlich root exploit Note 3

OK guys... I ran X-ray on my Note 3 (AT&T) with X-Note12 4.4.2.
It could not determine if the zimperlich exploit was patched. Now... Since I am rooted, I had 2 others test their devices with the official AT&T Note 3 4.4.2 OTA update. The results were the same.
Now since root is not available for this version yet, I am looking for someone to help with possibly building an exploit using zimperlich.
Something tells me that patch got broken.

Update 4.4.2 to 6.0.1 - will be able to roll back to KK ?

I want to upgrade my wife's phone to marshmallow. Her 915F is official but rooted with TWRP.
I want to be sure that I will be able to roll back in case won't like it.
Is it possible?
Besides security updates, is there a good reason to update it ?
