Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my honor 6 plus.
I do the update to lollipop and emui 3.1, but i find that the battery life is worst.
Now i want to downgrade to kitkat, but i don't know how to do it.
I look in a lot of site without results.
PLEase help me
I'm desperate
If you are experiencing battery drain after flashing Lollipop beta, then factory reset (you will lose double tap to wake however).
This should then allow the battery to settle down again.
There is no way to downgrade and go back to Kitkat as far as I know.
Lollipop didn't solved battery problem event with reset. And I'm facing heat problem while using GPS (waze) battery temperature raise to 47 degree celcius.
On kitkat we facing problem with LTE and with lollipop we face much more problem.

Hi,
I´ve been using GPE 4.4.2 for a while. It worked really good, but when 4.4.4 came out, I wanted to update it.
I did a full wipe and install of 4.4.2 afterwards upgraded to 4.4.4 and then I restores my apps.
I think I´m getting less battery life in 4.4.4 than in 4.4.2.
Also, I got a couple of random reboots during this week.
Nothing huge, but I wanted to know if I´m the only one or if somebody else is facing the same problems.
I´m on stock kernel. Does someone have another kernel and configuration to recommend for GPE? My priority is battery life.
Thanks

I'm satisfied with 4.4.4 but it's true, battery life is less than 4.4.2
Thanks, I returned to 4.4.2
When I tried aerokernel, my phone got stuck, so I decided to go back to 4.4.2
The battery drain is a problem on all 4.4.4 stock ROMs (GPe included). Motorola f'ed something up so the phone is virtually in a continuous wakelock, with the cpu stuck at full clock speed. My new phone came with the 4.4.4 update already installed, battery life is crap compared to my old one that I stubbornly kept on 4.3, which lasted 3 days in standby. The new one with 4.4.4 barely makes it to 6 hours with no use at all.
Might I suggest installing CM when the release M9 - I certainally will when (if) it gets released.
GPS issue draining battery?

I am back on 4.4.2 but I found a problem that I had in 4.4.4 also.
I normally have gps off and I just turn it on when I need to use it.
I´ve found in 4.4.2 with OSA maps and in 4.4.4 with TomTom that after I turn off the GPS, if I check the battery stats, these apps appear to consume a lot of my battery because they kept using the GPS for a lot of hours more.
Does it only happen to me?
Thanks
I've had 0,3-0,5% battery drain per hour (in standby) on stock 4.3 Jelly Bean. After update to KitKat, my battery started to drain faster and it was somewhere around 1,0-1,5%/h so I downgraded back to the Jelly Bean and all was normal again. Now, I updated to 5.1.1 AOSP Lollipop and even with everything off and all battery friendly settings, I'm experiencing exactly the same issue: 1,0-1,5% battery drain/h. I've made a new record with 14,5 days of battery life with light use (on 4.3) and now it's not possible to go over 4-5 days in IDLE ! I've made a factory reset/wiped everything. How is it possible that Lollipop causes me this battery drain when Jelly Bean didn't do it ?
I monitored my battery with wakelock detectors for 3 days but there is no wakelocks and device is (as apps said) in deepsleep most of the time.
Any suggestions ? I like new system but with this terrible battery life it's really annoying.

Terrible battery life would be less than 10-12 hours for me with mixed use. What do you use your smartphone (more like pocket computer nowadays) for anyway? 14 days of standby probably means not touching it at all, so why bother switching it on?
lp make more use of battery and processor , the only thing that I can do, to got a good time of battery is turn off all animations , in the OP you say "AOSP" you use a rom? the last build of alberto have battery drain , y recomend aosparadox is really cool
@davider222
I also want a great battery life. Do you know where can I download Android 4.3 for Moto G ? Beacuse I can't find any .zip costum ROM or Motorola ROM.
@Eurofighter_ty
you can't downgrade from 5.1 bootloader to older 4.3 bootloader because you will probably hardbrick your device but here are some links from xda

@STR4NG3R-GUY
I have 20150909 version, it's also impacted by battery drain ? I have just tested GPS and it consumed only 13% of battery during 6 h long bicycle trip so I'm experiencing only stand by battery drain, normal use is probably fine
@davider222
if you have that issues , why stay in lollipop ?, downgrade to kitkat :3
So i updated my phone but it drains alot of battery. Android OS is draining all the juice. Now i LOVE MM but due to 20 to 15 percent overnight drain i had to revert back to 5.1.1.
Have you guys come up with any fix for this. I tried all the updates and versions of MM. Seems like 6.0.2 is gonna fix that.
You have to turn off google backup and restart the s6 and that's it.
if google backup do not help, then turn off location too
is that a checked fix for this? coz i dont want to loose my data all over again while downgrading through odin

Hi,
I owned a Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Gold 9 months ago, and I was very happy because I could use the phone for more than 2 days withouth charging. But recently, the battery started to drain VERY FAST .
For instance, if I go to sleep with the phone at 100%, when I wake up (8h later) , the battery is at 70% or less. With my investigation, I tried/found that:
-The problem is not caused by deep sleep mode, or at least "CPU Spy" shows that the phone is able to do it.
-I tried wipe (factory reset/partition/cache) with no results.
-I calibrated the battery but the problem persists, also I tried charging with 1A charger.
-"GSam Battery Monitor - Root" shows that 47% of the battery goes to "Android System" and another 20% goes to "Kernel (Android OS)".
The issue started at the last week, and the first thing I did was updating Lolipop (I was using it for more than 4 months) to Marshmallow 6.0 (B561). I don't know what do to now, ATM I'm underclocking the CPU, but that's a temporally solution. I always take the battery with a lot of care, I don't know why is happening this.
If someone could help me, I will be very thankfull .

same here
i have exactly the same situation with u and couldn't find a solution yet.
battery issues too
what firmware you running? I have an EU version of the phone, updated to 5.1.1 and it was dying fast. I then updated to 6.0 Malaysian rom from their website and it started to do the 2 day life. However the phone seems to just freeze and sometimes just switch off, so I am thinking of downgrading and then see if its the software or its a hardware failure. I have warranty
I couldn't find any solution yet, so I'm going to downgrage to the 4.X. I don't see benefits from Marshmallow update, also I can't hide the taskbar, so...
Actually I think I'm using CH version B561.
Edit: Fine, I can't find a downgrage pack for my version.
Hello, as you saw in the title of the thread, my Nokia 6 TA-1033 SS that is Rooted on Android 7.1.2 battery is draining very fast, and the cause of that draining is "Screen", my luminosity is at 45-40%, my standby time is only at 1 min., and the most strange thing is that Android System says that i only have approximatively 6h left before my battery goes to 0% but my battery is at 92%, and it's still draining now for no reason while i'm writing this, i precise that this happened all of a sudden. I searched the cause of this drain but couldn't find it, i'm using Greenify but nothing changes. Maybe I need to unroot my phone and upgrade to Android Oreo ? I don't know, if some of you Nokia 6 users have already faced this problem and solved it, please help me, it's really annoying. Thanks.
