No ActiveDisplay + Xposed-MobileRadioBugFix + No Adaptive Brightness = Immortal Moto - X Style (Pure) General

I'm getting FANTASTIC battery life! I'm at 63% right now, after close to 12 hours of total time (with 1.5 hours SOT), with an estimated 20 hours left. Standby time is the key here, when I am not using the Moto...the battery just stops in time. It's wild.
I will have to say with the following...
Active Display Disabled < Not necessary
Adaptive Brightness Disabled < around 10% to 15% brightness is honestly totally fine for outdoor use. It's crazy. I use 1% to 5% at night.
Xposed Module: MobileRadioBugFix < Most important!
My Moto X is now immortal.
GSam Battery Monitor is showing on average 2.0% to 3.0% loss per hour when I am using the phone.
While SOT does slowly kill it, standby time is just crazy now. When I lock the screen, it's almost like the battery gets frozen in time.
For anyone who is struggling to get through a day, try these stuff out!

Men, I don't need to fool with it. 20 hours a day before plugging it in is fine for my needs.
Stock out of the box after a week of power cycles.

Oh but she can do so much more. I'm impressed, 3,000mah with 1440p had me worried...but Motorola has buckled the F down and did a great job!

Agreed Moto did a good job with the battery.

I usually get 6+ hours of SOT

This is terrifying. Coming from a oneplus one where I was used to getting 6 hours sot over 18 hours. I switched to a oneplus 2 and have only been getting 3 hours sot over the course of a day, thinking that's terrible. Sounds like the Moto x Pure isn't for me, which is a shame because I really do love the Moto features and way it feels in the hand.

dam i didnt wana root but xposed is great so far my battery is lasting me day, i will be on my 3rd power cycle today lets see how it goes....

You know that module doesn't actually cause a change in battery life? It simple adjusts the calculation of battery drain due to mobile radio. It will not, in any way, cause your battery to last longer.

I couldn't imagine looking at my phone for 6 hours in a day!!! It seems a little much. I would respect the ability for my phone to stay on that much but I can't see the necessity.

The tabulation of what was being measured as battery use got stuck counting battery use as being caused by the mobile radio. this module just affects how battery stats are counted.

We shouldn't have to root to get great battery life. Just disable Moto Display, keep brightness low, and control when apps like Facebook sync. Android M will definitely bring improvements.
Not to mention, 6+ hours SOT is ridiculous. Put down your damn phone.

Also, rooting = Taking control of your device.
If you want the best, don't be lazy, take it into your own hands.

And ruin the non-replaceable battery? No thanks. Plus I don't want to be tethered to a wall, that's dumb. It's 2015, not 2000

The entire process of unlocking, throwing recovery+flashing super su takes less than 10 minutes. Did the entire thing on the can.
+ Greenify is the best battery saver ever. I'll never not root because of that.
Having said that. the DOZE feature in Android M is pretty slick. My Nexus 6 went from 2h SOT to 4.5 SOT on the last developer preview So hey, maybe that'll make everyone happier

Thanks for the heads up on the xposed module, with that installed I can actually get through a day now. Screen on still drains but standby is awesome now!

Expected SOT

Hi,
recently I bought N5 and I am very pleased with it. I could say that I love it. But I am worried about my battery. When I was buying it, the dealer at my carrier store, was hiding the box when opening it from me. I think that the box was not sealed any more ( i dont know if it is only in my country but here it's usuall that when buying a new phone they cut the sticker on the box infront of you). When I called at my store they said that they had only one more. And I am worried that the phone was used befor me for showcasing in the store. My battery usually lasts for two days ( I also have N7 so when on university i use N7 for heavy work) but barely get 3 hours of SOT. Wifi and 4G mostly off and brightness at minimum or max at 30% if on sun. Assistant of, gps of, ART on, using snapdragon BatteryGuru. I would really like to know what SOT should I get with this settings. And if you guys think I should go for warranty and hope that they replace my battery. Is there any way of seeing if the phone was already factory reset? Also I saw guys getting 5-6 hours SOT with wifi on here on XDA. Don't get me wrong I love the standby time but when using it (FB, twitter, messaging, browsing Chrome, 2 mail syncing) the battery drains like F1 car drains gas. If this is somewhere answered close the thread and point me there . Thank you

screen on time is totally dependent on personal usage.
the best thing to do would be to root it and install 'better battery stats'. then you can analyze your battery properly. feel free to let this run for a full discharge and then post your screenshots
Yeah the problem with SOT is purely personal and that is why I posted here to see what you guys think. But still it is interesting to see how different the time can be from user to user. Will post screenshots in the evening.

remove this. It doesn't help and if anything, it makes it worse
The battery drains whether the screen is on or off. If you're getting two days of use with 3 hours sot I would say that's ok. You might get 5 hours if you drained the battery in a day. Does that make sense? It does in my head!

Ok so I removed Battery guru. And here are my stats from today (this was not my normal day of using it). Through the day the screen was almost constantly at the same level of brightness. And a lot of wifi and even 4g usage. But my battery could be draining a bit faster too because of not that good cellular coverage.
As pepdavies said with my normal use probably I would get closer to 4 hours if I would draind a battery in a day. .
Can I aske one more question? If I charge my phone over night and phone is off, will it overcharge my battery the same way as it would if it was on?

You can leave the phone plugged in 24/7/365, on or off, and it will never overcharge, whatever that may mean. Nor will it overheat, slow down, melt, or explode.
I got 7 hours of screen on time by having the screen on a low brightness but that is only practical in a dark environment. I've also disabled a lot of google stuff and uninstalled google+ which was destroying 20% of the battery regularly. Generally 5 hours of screen on time using lux to lower brightness levels but to a point where the screen still looks nice
4 hours sot is typical for stock

i dont really see how anyone can enjoy using there phone at minimum brightness unless its in a dark room i keep mine at 25% and it looks damn good using a tweaked gamma profile. Regarding battery i average 4.30 hours screen on time and 23 hours total with wifi only mostly web browsing and as said already there will be no harm in charging your phone overnight when i wake up its at 100% and battery temp is at around 24c

there are many people in this world and we all have our own likes and dislikes.
when im outside I enjoy being outside and do not use my device except to check a notification or two. so when im inside and in an average lit room, I can drop the brightness to about 15% and that is enough for me. remember, lighting the screen is the phone's biggest battery hog. any decrease to this will increase your SoT. I enjoy getting an extra 2 hours out of my device before i have to be tied to a power cord
that said, im waiting for my zerolemon battery case to ship and can't wait

I never noticed that "average" feature on GSM, but upon looking at mine, I am averaging 2:31. Yikes! I use xposed, Ambient display, and some other screen things like f.lux though. Not sure how to quantify the difference.
But to the OPs point about rebooting 10 times a day..I sometimes lose 7-8% of battery when I reboot so this is even harder to believe.

Haven't had the device that long but I'm around 7 hrs SOT. No problems hitting 6 hrs.
Non-rooted, basic setup, sync on, data on all the time though I'm in a terrible area for T-Mobile so I've set it to 3g lately..... Most battery lost browsing the web. No WiFi.
Since I don't get a lot of notifications, or spend a lot of time on the phone or have social apps = good battery life.
I've got over 9 hrs SOT with my LG optimus g pro rooted and locked down. Easy 7.5 on that phone no matter what.
Got 9 hrs using my neighbour's Moto G4 Plus.

There is just no possible way this is true. SOT (screen on time) is not the same as the time it takes the phone to die after you pull it off the charger. Even the Nexus 6p has an average of like 6 hours SOT and it's got an extra 450mAh. Right now I'm running this phone totally stock unrooted without many apps and my SOT varies from 2-3 hours. Back when I was rooted and spent a lot of time doing battery related tweaks (which also happen to kill a lot of funtionality) I could get just over 4 hours. My sister in law has a G4 (non plus) and averages 3-3.5 hours SOT.

Always over 5 hours sot but it's not enough, I had a LG g2 and could get 7+ sot but that was only a 1080p screen, if Moto had chosen a 1080p amoled screen this phone would of been unbeatable.

I can honestly say 5+ hours SOT is possible. However, I achieved that with airplane mode on for a few hours and was reading a Kindle book with about 35% brightness, white text on black background. This requires little processing power and minimal touch interaction. On a regular day 3-4 hours is norm and this is checking emails, reading forums and news, reading some on Kindle, and about half of a day on 3g (not LTE). I don't get many emails, texts, or calls, so notifications are at a minimal (I have Moto display on). I also use Google now to track weather, traffic, packages, etc and have both Google and Moto voice off (just can't justify it when the mic button is just a tap). I just cannot see the SOT time you are claiming, especially if you are not rooted and heavily tweaked. I'm happy with my set up though and would not cripple my phone in the name of battery life.

How? I can only get 2:30 of screen, if I use it a lot, 3h...
Screen brightness is the key... The display panel is what takes most of the battery, if you turn off auto brightness and turn the brightness down to near zero you will get much higher more battery life.
The real problem with this device isn't the battery, it's the display panel (in regards to battery life).

My N6P is currently in the "shop", I got the dreaded boot loop of death. While I wait for it to come back, I've been enjoying the MXPE, excellent phone. I just wanted to add my comment to the N6P getting 6 hours of SOT. I bought it new in Dec. 15 from Google and the very very best SOT is around 3.5 hours. I'm a medium user I would say; email, messaging, web, some social media. I've tried most of the N6P roms and kernels and maybe with Franko's kernel I eked out a bit more, but never got more then 4 hours and that was rare. I generally have my display turned way down, turn off notifications except for messaging, phone, greenify. Nougat was better then MM, but not much.
So far the battery on the MXPE is pretty on par with the 6P for me.
The OP of this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3249458
does pretty much exactly what I've always done, and the battery life is within 30 minutes of mine, I'm currently not rooted and can't disable as many continuously running background apps.
I've always cringed when I would read reviews and people on here about SOT whenever I was considering buying a device. But each person's way of using the device is unique -- one bad app can kill SOT, even using chrome as your main browser will put a big dent in it.
I would say, other than data being on always instead of on WiFi, I use my device like I've always used a pc or tablet.....
If I was only getting 3 hrs SOT I would only look at devices I could get an extended battery case for OR I would be tied to an outlet.
Nonetheless, 6+ hrs SOT is possible for this device -- regardless of what anyone wants to *believe* is possible

Not impressed by battery timings

I'm the guy who gets every flagship as soon as they hit the market. I've been using Huawei mate 9 before and it had very impressive battery timings but it's been like 4 days since I got my s8 plus and not impressed by battery at all, it's hardly giving my 4 hours sot. I've read different threads people claiming to get 6 hours easily. I'm using it on fhd, with no extra bloatware and it's exynos variant. It also drains a lot of battery on standby like easily 15% or more overnight.

Yep that's what I'm thinking to do, Factory reset if the problem persists.
7hrs min Sot I get and that's with 14% battery left I think I edged to 8hr 20m but forgot to screen shot. I use qhd and brightness is pretty high too. Nothing disabled at all. Maybe try a reset and use the qhd res
I installed mine (Exynos) from scratch, only putting back on the apps I need which is not many.
I have location off unless I need it, and sometimes switch to 2G as I get better signal on that. FHD+.
With Wifi on 100% of the time, 75% brightness and all the usual suspects like Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Gmail (not snapchat), I get over 8 hours screen on time. It goes around 7.5 hours if i'm using streaming services like Netflix a lot though.
That's over 2 days as well. By bedtime on the second day, I am below 10% and need to charge.
I use "Greenify" App! Now i have 5 % drain per night
You simply cannot compare like that. "He gets 5 hours SOT so why can't I".
So many variables - signal strength, wifi, bluetooth, brightness level, auto brightness, GPS, NFC, location settings, vibration settings, how long since last charge, account sync, apps installed, apps used. They all affect battery life.
So really, as long as you're getting through a full day, it shouldn't really matter what other people get.

What problem? 4 hours SOT with the stats you posted in the OP isn't a problem.
Cellular signal is a biggie when it comes to battery life. My previous house was around 3 miles from where my current house is and the cellular was weaker and I got more battery drain in fact I remember switching to 3g from 4g to help increase battery and even 2g at times.
What brightness is your screen on? I'm easily getting 6 hours of screen on time, usually with 20-30% left after a full day (14-16 hours) of use, this is with many apps that would be considered battery drainers (Kik, Whatsapp, etc) installed. You definitely should try a factory reset, since most of battery problems this type originate from a problem that can be fixed with one
I'm certainly impressed. Auto sync on all day
I'm sure you are doing something wrong, because look at my total usage time and screen on time here.
The first picture in the attachment shows the total usage time where my Galaxy S8+ only was inactive for 2 out of those 19 hours. Yes, i was using it for 17 hours out of those 19 hours in total.
But that's not all. Take a look at the 2nd picture in the attachment where it shows my insane screen on time from those 19 hours of total usage.
And the average screen on time for me now is around 8 hours which is really good. And this is also with heavy usage.
All of this is with the highest resolution, brightness at 60-70%, Wi-Fi and Mobile Data on all the time and ofc with all kinds of apps syncing in the background.
Good thing you are within the return window, you can get a different phone that suits your needs.
Im getting 9hrs on screem time at 5% left. Fhd, good signal, wifi, data, gps, 60% brightness. A mix of calls, whats app, facebook, youtube, emails, taking photos etc. Id say heavy usage as its a new phone. But thats it, give it 6 months to a year that will probaly be 30% less efficent so around 6 hrs on screen time. Im happy atm. I always also happy the first year of owning the nexus 6p but after a year id only get about 3 hrs ost.

I would suggest that is your best option as my battery life is superb. I recall owning some mobile a few years back that had rave reviews about battery life yet mine was awful. Problem wasn't the mobile but some apps I had downloaded. Factory reset etc and removed some apps and all was good. Its a pain when this happens. :highfive:

Phew, the issue was resolved by resetting the phone and removing the second sim card since it's a dual sim variant. Now the SOT and overall performance is close to perfect. I don't know what caused it, maybe the second sim since I don't have any extra app installed besides Fbook, swiftkey or whatsapp. Thankyou all for your suggestions
HI i from India using the S8+ Exynos Variant i am also not getting the battery SOT more than 4 hours, what should i do ?

battery has become utter trash since 8.1 update

anyone else notice it? first off, I'd be at like 40 minutes screen on time before I'd drop to 99 percent... now, it drops immediately after unplugging, and that 40 min screen on time, I'll be at like 69 percent now. it's absolutely ridiculous. battery drains like crazy now, but nothing is running in the background that shouldn't be. everything is identical to pre 8.1 update. today I was at right under 60 min screen on time, at like 59 percent. I looked at old screenshots pre 8.1, and I'd be at like 2.5 hours screen on time at 59 percent. it's absolutely ridiculous that Google is purposely ruining the phone with each update in terms of battery life. I'm not the only one, either. it's on reddit as well. planned obsolescence? yep, I'm starting to think so.

Man. Do you live off grid or something and can only charge every 2 days or something. If you want 3+ hours of SOT than you would have to be close to a charger anyways and that's with any phone. All these phones that have come out late 2016 early 2017 have the same battery set up...use your phone and charge it fast and use your phone some more.
My pixel 2 same as my Moto z2 force and my s8

I really doubt it's any different than it was. It's more likely the battery wasn't reporting correctly in 8.0. When I was on 8.0 the battery would sit at 100% for at least an hour, maybe 2, all the while I was using the phone. Yes, since 8.1 it drops much faster when I first start using it after removing it from the charger but at the end of the day I still have pretty much the same battery percentage left as I did when I was on 8.0. It drops faster to begin with but in the end, it's the same as before. Rather than planned obsolescence, it's more likely they simply fixed something that wasn't working properly before. There's no way you can use one of these things for an hour or more and not have the battery drop below 100%. Just my two cents worth.
Can't complain. Forgot twice to plug it in at night, woke up both times with 45% left. At my regular use that is good. My previous S7 would have been down to <20%. BTW, this:

is just utter BS, maybe you should reinforce you aluminum hat...
I can't say my battery life has been bad or gotten worse with 8.1. If anything it got better. I didn't plug mine in last night, woke up with 38% left. That was about 20 hours since last charge. I don't think Google is purposely obsoleting their newest phones a couple months after release either.....
Edit: I should mention, I have my AOD always on, I have Now Playing enabled, double-tap-to wake is disabled, and I use one of the prepackaged Pixel 2 live wallpapers (Marvelous Marble). The only ting I really do thinking of the battery is turn the phone face down when I go to bed since that shuts off the display.
so i guess the fact that my screen on time has dropped by over an hour means I'm the one who's crazy, and the phone is perfectly fine.... riiiiiggghht.

I'm pretty sure this part of your post is the crazy part. Your battery drain is probably real. Have you confirmed it exists on a clean install without any apps installed or system configurations changed? Only then should you entertain that this is Google's fault. Even then, accusing them of doing it on purpose runs dangerously close to tinfoil hat territory.
I feel my battery life has gone down slightly going from 8.0 to 8.1. Though, I'm running all the bells and whistles this phone has to offer, along with tasker profiles. I also agree with the previous statement. Perhaps the system wasn't accurately measuring the battery life.
I did have horrible battery life for a bit when I was playing with a new kernel and dirty flashing some things to get Viper4Android working.
I have two Pixel 2 phones (non XL), and honestly they are amazing at battery compared to my HTC M8s (again two) . Are they perfect? No. Are they better than any phone I've ever had? Yes.

As has been said above, the battery no longer sticks at 100% for the first hour or so of screen on time, but that was always obviously nonsense anyway so a fair conclusion is that it's now better calibrated. But I've noticed no difference overall in battery life: yesterday was the first time I tried running for 2 days rather than charging overnight, and when I plugged it at night it had run for 41 hours with 6 and a quarter hours screen on and 7% remaining, so really not a problem there.
If you're having trouble with an update:
- Use BetterBatteryStats to figure out if any apps are acting up (or just top off the battery, use phone normally, and check Google's battery stats for Apps Using Battery, standby drain and screen on time)
- Clean flash the factory image, set up phone as new, go through charge cycle and check stats.
I'm not having any issues with battery on 8.1 (clean installed factory image). Easily get 4 - 6 hours SOT. As a matter of fact, my battery life is shockingly excellent for a smaller device like this.
Google is not making battery worse on purpose with their brand new flagship device.
I don't have any issues with the battery after the 8.1 update. It doesn't stay on 100% for a long time like it used to, but like everyone else is saying, that must have been buggy before. It isn't realistic for the battery to stick on 100% with 40 mins of SOT. Overall I don't see a reduction in battery life and I'm quite happy with the 8.1 update.
I was checking BBS and couldn't tell much. Do you still need to install it as a system app?

Not sure. I haven't used it for quite a while. The built in battery info works well enough for me, I haven't been having issues. It's good for checking wakelocks and some more advanced stuff but I think it needs a few cycles/days before it can analyze properly.
I think it's just the way oreo is. Ever since 8.0 it just drains the battery very aggressively. 8.1 the OS runs smoother, but battery drain is still high. Been the case though since 8.0 for me, nothing new.
I haven't clean flashed in over 6 months though. Just been on 7.1 and been rolling up the OTAs and chugging along. I found using Naptime by Franco helps a bit.

IMO battery life has never been great on the Pixel 2. It's the same on 8.1 as it was on 8.0 for me.
Right now I'm trending towards 6 hours SOT (3 hrs SOT at 50%), and I have been BT streaming audiobooks most of the day. I also watched Netflix for 30 min on full brighness. That's better than 8.0 for me, I was lucky to get 5 hrs SOT max.
I would say the calibration is more accurate now, it hung on 100% for too long, so it may appear to drain faster but so far in practice I've gained battery.
Battery life isn't as good as my OP5, but that has a big battery compared to the Pixel 2. I think for it's size it's doing a good job.

I guess you are talking about one of your other devices here, rather than the Pixel 2.
I am getting horrible battery life since going to 8.1
I installed the update the night of the 13th. The past 2 days my battery drains to 20% in about 8 hours. At that point whatever is causing it was stopped by the battery saver mode or the reboot I did when I discovered the phone was in battery saver mode.
Light use at work, staring at my phone is not a thing I have time for. No streaming, no surfing. Just checking texts and emails here and there. Prior to the update I'd get home 12 hours after I left the house and be around 75-80%. Not rooted, not unlocked. Bone stock.
Built in battery stats say 'system' is the culprit. Digging deeper I see Google Play Services app used 70% of my battery from about 7am to around 4 or 5pm this evening. I'd post a screen shot but I didn't to think of taking one before I plugged it in. I just installed BBS and will monitor it for a day.

Getting bad battery life on my 3 week old OnePlus 6 ...

Greetings xdadevelopers,
I own my OnePlus 6 for about 3 weeks now,and I feel like I'm getting bad battery life. I got a friend who has the exact same model (Silk White, 128 GB) and he gets far better SOT (battery life). I will attach two screenshots showing my battery life down to 75%.
So far I had a SOT of 1 hour and lost ~25% battery which would result in a total of just 4 hours of SOT. I hear a lot of people talking about their great battery life with their OnePlus 6 and some even saying that they get 5 hours of SOT at minimum even with heavy use.
Here's what I tried doing so far...
- Deactivate stuff when not needed, e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc.
- Clear cache partition in storage settings
- Clear cache partition in recovery mode
- Use dark theme and dark wallpaper
I am currently running OxygenOS 5.1.11 and I really hope that I don't need to return my OnePlus 6 anytime soon because I don't have a spare phone to use. Anyone have some suggestions?
Thanks for any help!

A factory reset will most likely fix this issue.

You're aware that when people post crazy SOT, ie 5-6 hours, they're getting it while using WiFi? If you are using 4g/lte, the battery life will not be as good.
if you dont get the same SoT then its a user related so unless you have the same apps installed and the same settings etc then its impossbile to get the same amount of SoT.
Also when you check your phone every minute then it will drain like crazy then when you just turn it on and use it for a half hour straight. Also things like face unlock etc can use that battery and also disable the sync options.
You have a weak cell signal. That is the most likely culprit.

I never use WiFi, I'm on T-Mobile and have unlimited data and have never been throttled so no point in using WiFi and I get 9-11 hours of SOT and average about .7% idle drain and 2% overnight (7 hours). So you can get very good SOT and idle drain if you don't use crappy apps and don't have EVERYTHING turned on and maxed out all the time.
I can do 2 hours of YouTube, hour or 2 of calls, 30+ emails whatsapp and text all day and still go home with 60% battery life or better. Also about an hour maybe 2 of web surfing as well.
Try using greenify to kill any apps running in the background. But yeah, a crappy cell signal will drain battery pretty bad. Connect to WiFi when applicable.

9-11 hours of screen on time? I'm going to have to call BS on that.
I get most off the time 7-8 hours with wifi. And 4-5Hours with mobile data. Thats a huge difference

You can call it BS all you want but I've posted screen shots a couple months ago and I will have 3 or 4 hours of SOT using it for work all day for various things plus YouTube and web surfing and go home with 60-70% battery. The screenshot below if from last night actually after 24hours off charge. I usually get about 30 emails a day (work hours) 50+ texts and whatsapp with voice and pics, web surfing YouTube, Connected Gear S3 smartwatch, and about an hour or so of phone calls.

I personally don't take a charger with me to work. Plus with Accubattery every time you plug it ion it resets the stats unlike the built in battery monitor in the phones settings.
Some people are just bitter about people knowing how to set up phone for good battery. Or they just use some flaky apps that go rogue on them. There is no reason to lie about what you get battery stats. People ask about battery and people show how their phones are good or bad. Unless you have the same apps and same set up and use the phone the same, you'll never get the same battery performance.

Mostly on wifi thus far, i should have about the same with 4g tho from what I noticed, I live near city center and have the antenna about 50 meters from my house, at work I have really ****ty connection so there it will drop massively, about 15% Drop in 9 hours with 30-40 minutes screen. If I use it in background it will obviously use more (like spotify/podcast)

Nice. I'm getting around 7hours but it seems I use my phone alot heavier than you. The app you use the most is a web browser. I play abit of pubg which drains the battery alot while in game.

Not bitter, just very skeptical. Anyone i've seen stating they get 9-11 hours of screen on time never posts a chart screenshot. I can usually get 5-7 on wifi. if you can get 9-11 then more power to you, but to say that its normal, is unrealistic. even if you go to the screen on time thread in the review section of the oneplus6 forum here on xda, you'll notice that an overwhelming majority of users are getting anywhere from 5-7.

Never once did I say it was normal. I'm just saying that you can get really good battery life. No one will ever get the same usage as another based on apps installed, how they have their phone sync and what they have running (WiFi, Bluetooth on or off, poor cell signal and location on high accuracy or battery saving) it all depends but I don't cripple my phone. I just turn off location permissions in all apps but Browser, Google, Maps, Weather and turn off Background data for apps that have no need to do that and leave my email and messaging apps, among a few others, alone. But to tell me BS (basically calling me a liar) when I can get that with pretty heavy use and my phone isn't crippled isn't cool.
And those people getting 5-7 hours of SOT are likely leaving their WiFi and Bluetooth on all the time no matter if they are connected or now, have everything syncing all the time and have Location on High Accuracy. Now granted I just bought a Gear S3 Frontier a week ago and I'm seeing about 5-10% more drain then before I bought the watch which is expected.
