[HELP] Boot loop, no OS, can't flash; urgent help needed please! - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi XDA,
I really need help. Today I tried to root my new S6 (SM-G920W8, Rogers as provider) using a video (which I apparently can't link, but is titled "How to Root the Galaxy S6 (Safe & NO Loss of Data)" by C4Etech), which ironically turned out to be not that safe. I followed the instructions precisely, but despite seeing a 'PASS!', it got stuck in a bootloop. Thankfully, I can still access TWRP recovery mode, as well as the blue download mode.
I have the latest version of TWRP (2.8.7.1) loaded on my phone, but when trying to restore it I stupidly deleted the OS. Now, this would be fine, as I should be able to flash the stock 5.0.2 ROM, right? Wrong.
I am using Odin 3.0.4 as well as also trying 3.10.7, but when trying to load the ROM via AP method, I get "Write NAND start", followed by "FAIL!" I also once tried checking off the Re-Partition box, which then left me with "the specified file could not be read".
Digging around on the forums, I wasn't sure if perhaps it was because I was trying to install 5.0.2 onto a 5.1.1 device, but I couldn't find a 5.1.1 version of a Rogers SM-G920W8 stock firmware. School is tomorrow and I definitely can't let my parents find out that I messed up my phone – please XDAdevs, I'm begging you – help a newbie flasher out!

Have you formatted all partitions using TWRP?
I'd suggest format Data, System and Cache and try Odin again.
If it still fails then use a different USB port, a different cable or even a different computer.

No luck with switching cables or ports, gonna try a different computer but not sure it'll work. Still getting the NAND write error. Being a newbie to this, what things can cause a "NAND write start fail" error?
EDIT: it appears my reactivation lock is off. As my phone has no OS and is stuck in infinite boot loop, I can't register a Samsung count to disable it. Any advice?

Just tried on another computer. Was able to flash a version of Chainfire Autoroot with no NAND issue, but the issue persists for the stock S6 ROM.
Advice would be much appreciated.

Do you see black box with red writing saying "software rev check failed"?

No; I've never seen this message. However, when I try to boot normally on the S6 logo screen I get a red "Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing".
...Unfortunately, I have no idea what this entails.

SOLVED!
To anyone reading this who screwed up their Samsung device, use Kies 3 and try to upgrade firmware with your phone plugged in in download mode.
What this does is simply reinstall the native OS, using Samsung's own tool. No NAND errors, no need for Odin! Everything is vanilla and fixed. Thanks for your helps!

n8000 16gb pit / HELP broken GT-N8000

i think i have emmc brickbug; My GT-N8000 is on UDNE4 firmware (stock German kitkat).
One night it shut down, and i can no longer access the system nor recovery. when i try to access the system, it restarts randomly during the Samsung logo (after the Samsung Note 10.1 page), and when i try to access recovery, it shows a black screen for 2 or 3 seconds, then reboots.
I can access download mode, but whenever i try using odin for flashing kernels, flashing bootloaders, flashing roms(one file or multi-part), removing batteries, flashing the latest kitkat rom (UDNE4, UDNE5, UDNE6),flashing recovery, modding roms(removing sboot.bin and tz.img), but i get "NAND Write fail error". when i try flashing the pit at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2268735 , i get "repartition operation failed". I tried the following odin versions : 1.83, 1.85, 3.04, 3.07, 3.09.
I tried different pcs, different cables, different ports (of all 3 gernerations(usb 1.0, usb 2.0, usb 3.0)). I tried reinstalling samsung drivers and uninstalling kies. I tried using heimdall, but i get "libuser error = -7". I honestly don't know what this error mean, so i would like someone to explain it for me.
I read at ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...icked-t1619571 ) that repartitioning might help, and therefore i need the appropriate pit. I am also considering NAND erase all, but please do let me know whether i can rely on this option. The pit i need is for the 16GB version of GT-N8000. And if repartitioning is not the solution, what should be done?
P.S: Whenever i flash a bootloader, the download mode shows invalid magic string.
P.P.S: I don't want to hand it to samsung just yet, because my warranty is over.
P.P.P.S: in download mode, i can see my model number, although my SYSTEM STATUS is shown as CUSTOM, even though i have a stock system (but i don't think that this is quite unusual, since it is rooted)
P.P.P.P.S: i have philz touch cwm recovery
Sorry for the very long post
Any help would be really appreciated
Thanks in advance
How could my device be saved? I am willing to risk everything to get it to work again, but i am not considering replacing the motherboard.
The device is now a paper-weight that can only access download mode, but can not use it.
P.S: I tried using nand erase all, but i received Complete(Write) operation failed.
I have the exact same problem. Hope some one can come up with solution. Tried all options above. Very depressing.......
Rescue package
I have seen Rescue packages for phones like S3 which helped recover some bricked devices; What are they? And is there such thing for my device?Would a Rescue package do any good in this state?
Is there other programs to try other than odin or heimdall?

No OS installed, don't know what region of firmware to download

So I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S6 today using TWRP and it got stuck in a boot loop. I went to wipe to cache and accidentally wiped to system. So now there is no OS installed. I know I need to somehow put an OS on the device but I'm in Canada and when I go to samsung's site to download the firmware, there is no Canada option. I bought the phone off of amazon and it came with a European wall charger because it was imported, but how do I know what firmware to download?
Also, when I have found the right firmware, how do I flash it onto the device? I can no longer access TWRP, all I can get is the downloading screen thing. Can I use Odin/how do I use Odin?
Somebody help me I'm panicking because I broke my brand new phone!
You should check the Amazon listing to see which model number you have. It's probably SM-920F.
Once you have the correct firmware downloaded, Google a guide to flashing Galaxy S6 firmware with Odin. There are a lot of them out there.

On the back of the phone it should say which model you have, for example G920F, G920W8, G920P etc.
Download the proper firmware from Sammobile, then follow the tutorial that the following thread has a link to.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841
If the variant you have is the European model, G920F, I recomend you install the unbranded firmware.
IMPORTANT! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER FIRMWARE! INSTALLING THE WRONG FIRMWARE CAN HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE!
I really hope this advice helped!
Really important is only that you pick the right model to download. The region isn't that important. Go to sammobile and download your stock rom, but be sure to not pick a branded one, because they are full of junk.
Also, you must use ODIN in that Download-Mode. Open ODIN, plug your device into your pc and see, if ODIN shows up your device. If yes, select "PDA" or "AP" (depending on ODIN Version) and select your ROM that you have downloaded. Then click on start. Don't touch your phone, your cable or your computer for best results. Wait ODIN say "PASS" with a green background. If this occurs, your phone should restart and after 10 mins or so, it should boot Android.
I did the same this as the OP, now I am stuck on the main "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Powered by Android" screen. I can boot into TWPR and into download. I have tried flashing zip from external SD card with USB-OTG with no luck, I have tried flashing from Odin, multiple Odin versions tried, multiple usb cords tried, multiple computers tried.. all result with <ID:x/xxx> Can't open serial(COM) port."
No matter what I do, I can't seem to get anything to take, not stock firmware or otherwise. Any suggestions.. donations for anyone who can help me solve. lol $$

In odin under options untick Auto Reboot.
Flash Rom
Phone wont reboot once rom has flashed successfully so you will need to do manual reboot.
Go into recovery mode and wipe data.
Reboot phone
that should help let us know if it works
wifi wont turn on
hi, i managed to install the firmware but now the wifi and bluetooth wont turn on, wifi toggle and bluetooth wont go on, it looks like is trying toget on but after 20 seconds justgo back to off. idont know what to do .........
I can't even get any firmware to load as odin continually stops within seconds of starting to flash phone, no matter what firmware I choose it's the same result failed flash?

Take a break from ODIN and install "Smart Switch for PC or Mac". Go to "more" on top right corner and do a software reinitialize. Type in your phone's model e.g. SM-G920F, hit search, type in your phone's serial number, and it will download and flash the latest ROM straight from Samsung.
Search this in Google for a YouTube video "samsung smart switch initialization" to get the picture of how easy this is going to be.
If it doesn't work, then go back to odin, assuming you have the proper ROM, and check the nand erase option. Do not check the repartition option!!!
BTW, @ronnie498, this thread probably belongs to the Q&A section, not the general section. Thanks.

Thank You very much for your reply, but that didnt work. Smart switch keeps saying "Please Check the model name and S/N, and enter them again" doe i put the right S/N printed at the back of my S6. As for re-trying odin with the "nand erase all" option checked, odin passed but my S6 SM-G920F is still stuck in a bootloop with no recovery. Just ODIN download mode.
:crying: :crying:
920F is international, but there are so many variations of those. Is it a European version? UK model? Maybe try Samung Kies3 this time. Before you uninstall Smart Switch to install Kies3, try the SM-G920F and your S/N once more making sure all letters are CAPs and things like the letter o is not miss typed by a zero or visa versa. If it says mismatch again, uninstall Smart Switch and try Samsung Kies3 this time.
Meanwhile, do you remember what ROM your phone was on when it was working? Was it Android 5.0.1 or 5.1.1 or 6.0.1? Any other info on the original ROM or last working one?

Samsung Kies doesnt even recognize the model name, as for Smart Switch yh; it still gives me "Please Check the model name and S/N, and enter them again" and i ensured i typed the S/N accurately.
and its a UK model, and No i do not have an idea of the ROM that initially on it before the crash.
What are you writing for model name?

[Completed] s4 rooting issues (soft bricked?)

so, i was trying to root a verizon s4, there seem to be plenty of ways to do this.
i have odin 3.7 and 3.9 on my pc running windows 10(neither version fight with another)
anyway, i received a s4 that could not open the os. so i opted to try a root install. i opened odin 3.9 and dled a root rom for what i hoped was the right build... it failed.. ( yes i put the phone in to DL mode)
so, i DLed a different one, that failed to..
tried a third time, fail.
at this time after rebooting the phone, the screen tells me that "your device didnt update successfully. use the verizon repair assistant on a computer to repair your device and complete the update."
i DLed the windows version of verizons repair tool for samsung (i hope the right one, not sure as i had to search hard for it).
i ran the repair.. it spent an hr DLing, then started the repair. gets to 80% then fails.
i have tried this several times.. even restated my computer.
i cannot boot to recovery to reset to factory, which by the way was the first thing tried, but i can boot to DL mode.
i have read so many different things now, and tried different things that i am getting tunnel vision and cant focus anymore.. i need help please!
update
so i managed to get the phone working to boot the os by resetting the phone with a PIT file via odin.. i believe the build is of1? or something of that nature.. now just need to look int to rooting for that.

problem samsung on5 sm-g550t Tmobile softbrick

good afternoon forum friends, recently I have had a big problem with a samsung on5 sm-g550T from Tmobile which will install the twrp, then proceeded to root to install the foldermount app and pass data from the games to the sd, the problem is that after the root and install the app the phone suffered a softbrick since it did not go beyond the t-mobile logo, I made a noob error and from the TWRP I made a total full wipe , after that the phone when it came to the samsung logo remained the black screen.
I have tried to solve flashing the following firmwares with odin 3.11. - 3.11.1 and 3.12
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24723757092307323
https://firmwarefile.com/samsung-sm-g550t
https://mega.nz/#!6pIVWKqb!AwIAAAQhFwGEcbVSx6FShLuaoCWB9JMTWCVqWSaak0U
but all give me error at the moment of starting the process of flashing the odin mark fail, I leave captures of the error and the exact model of the team, also try flashing only the recovery first extracting the same from the Md5 with the 7zip but now the phone every time I turn it on, it sends me an error in red letters that you can also see in the capture. The truth is that I am getting desperate and I run out of ideas if someone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
