I have read in other threads that using a different computer could fix the issue.
Did you try that?

What software version do you have on your computer? I read on another thread that the issue could be related to the computers software.

This is the thread that has one user recommend you try another software version on the computer.

Thanks for the info. But i haven't tried on other version of windows. Currently im in windows 8.1 might be the cause of it but i really dont have much time to reinstall. So might try on some other day.

If you were to take my earlier advice and borrow another computer you might have better luck fixing your issue.

Gonna try with another computer in my company

Okay the Google USB driver worked.(I appreciate that thank you) but Just says unknown device. connected. It ddoesn't seem to be popping up in Odin. :/ this is frustrating. Tomorrow ill try different comp.

If it says unknown device then it didn't work. Have you tried installing kies drivers yet? If not, try this: http://www.filesonic.com/file/1536466454

It's not clear what state your phone is in but if you can boot and have root mobile odin should work.

You can try to flash the below official ICS Stock roms via CWM, then try to reconnect with PC to flash via ODIN for complete stock.

Works fine but i connect my phone to my comp for backing up files and flashing you know that kinda stuff. I wonder what could if caused it. I remember it started when I was using fb app and it suddenly just shut off and wouldnt come on. When I tried to charge it because it seem like it was dead it would keep vibrating over and over again just like boot looping. Even now if phone is off and I connect the charger it won't show the battery meter but automatically turn it self on. So I think I'll have to send it to att warranty.

[Q] sim card

My nexus 5 will not read any sim card at the moment. I flashed back to stock 4.4.3 and ever since that, no matter what carrier sim card I put in, I get no call reception. The phone is recognizing there is a sim in because I flashed a custom ROM and whenever I put in a sim from T-Mobile,att, etc., there APN settings come up. I have no idea what's going on. I am no noob. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Restore a nandroid if you have one. It should fix it.
Flashing factory images didn't help me to recover the network signal and to detect the sim card.

Yes it's possible. Are you trying to just return to stock/another rom or do you want to flash back your nandroid? There's an easy way to flash zip files through twrp easily. *adb sideload*

I've tried that... No dice. I've tried everything. At this point I'm guessing its hardware. Although it doesn't make much sense that the phone is recognizing there is a sim in just will not connect to a network. This is a major bummer.

Yep. Same thing happened to me. It would detect my sim, it would connect to WiFi, but it wouldn't connect to mobile data. I flashed almost everything I could find and nothing worked. Just RMA it.

I can't root unless I use a computer.

Yep. It says it all. I cannot use any apk root tool unless I use the PC especially odin. And honestly, I am not allowed to use any computer and if I get odin there, someone will get mad! Is there any good solution. I am using this situation attached as an example. Thanks!

The process explained here does not require you to use Odin nor a computer. You might have heard about it talking about different devices, to each one it's own. Also, that process doesn't need you to wipe your device to factory (that wouldn't make much of a sense), and generally root methods never do.

There should be a way to do it Downloading the latest LP firmware for your device and using Mobile Odin but that's as far as I know.
