Here it is
http://developer.sonymobile.com/dow...es/open-source-archive-for-build-16-0-a-0-36/
They are for Xperia C, the MTK6589 based phone!
I tested them, they are complete!
Archive is heavily compressed, when i uncompressed it, it was 2.2gb big!
Let the development start!!!!!!!!
I tried to use it to generate the complete rom
I can say it is incomplete ==> Cannot generate ROM even following the instruction enclosed.

Thanks! Direct link: http://www.lenovomobile.com/opensource/release/S6000/
Edit: The S6000 is MT8125 based. That's a cortex A7 aswell with PowerVR SGX544 however is it similar enough to the MT6589 to be of use? Also, there are mt6589 specific files in this source tree (under mediatek/platform/mt6589)
Bump.
Anyone got any further?
thanks~this really help me a lot!!!

if anyone has a working build, please share instructions on how to do that.
Would be great if custom roms and CyanogenMod will be available for this great platform!
^ Agree. I would start working on trying to compile the cyanogenmod for this after I get the phone next week.

Id imagine if the source is released, and somebody compiles a rom.
Won't it work for all MTK6589 devices?

Fly mobiles russia web site released 15 phones kernel sources,
UPDATE:: WE HAVE THE SOURCES!!
Sony just released the complete source code for their new mtk6589 android the Sony Xperia C...Get downloading and let the development of custom roms, kernels and much much more begin..link below
http://developer.sonymobile.com/dow...es/open-source-archive-for-build-16-0-a-0-36/
Hopefully more and more manufacturers will follow suite and provide theirs too..Anyways this is a big win.
Finally, thanks to all of you who took their time to support us and help us get this.
Dear XDA members,
MediaTek is a leading manufacturer when it comes to mobile processors just like Qualcomm. They are responsible for bringing quad core CPU's like the MTK6589 among others. We have been waiting for a very long time for MediaTek to release their Kernel Sources so that we may tweak, mod and further development of the roms in our devices. The sources will allow us to port custom roms and kernels like Cyanogen ,Paranoid , AOSP, MIUI and AOKP among many others. This will be a major game changer for this processor as they prepare to launch the 8-core MTK processor.
My request to all those who see this(developer or not) is to take a second to vote, spread the word on any other forum and maybe this time they will hear us. Support our cause
It is about time this happened.
Thank you all for your time.
Be sure to vote in the Poll and feel free to leave a comment.:fingers-crossed:
i guess instead of voting here its better to sign petition over here

Meizu MX2 is a chinese company's device, and I didn't find a CM available ROM for it .Some people said that Meizu doesn't open their code for developers, but MIUI manage to adapt to it with some ways . So I think xda-developers could adapt a CM ROM to MX2 with the similar way,are you interesting in this adaption?

They have no respect here. Your better off looking on the China based forums. Without proper kernel source the device is dead in the water
Hello everyone,
to whom it may concerns (Maybe some nice uber-pro will try to compile a CM, even using orignal Kernel? ) :
Lenovo released the source code for the A850 device including Kernel and driver sources.

Hello developers of Nvidia Sheild tablet. We all know Xiaomi Mi pad hardware configuration are almost identical with Nvidia Sheild tablet with both having same CPU and GPU.
However due to recent release of MIPAD kernels(partial) link - https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/mocha-kk-oss
after a wait of 2.5 years of Tablet launch, we don't have much support and help left.
So we need some help and support in our kernel and rom development to move out of KitKat 4.4 MIUI OS which destroyed the Nvidia tegra K1 capabilities.
Hope some enthusiastic developers from Sheild tablet help us with Rom porting and kernel development. We have lots of tester available here at forum XDA MIPAD section and also MIUI forum website.
Please help!!
Some developer from 4pda.ru just ported successfully Sheild Lollipop kernel . But graphics parts of kernel still missing. If some developer from Sheild tablet can help us, it will be huge thing for us
