Hello guys, I already installed 5.1.1PR to my H950, feels good.
But it seems can only link to tmoblie hpsa (or wcdma?)
But when I used the 5.0.1, I can link to the Tmobile LTE.
May I ask anyone knows how to link to Tmobile LTE by 5.1.1PR?
Thanks a lot~

Maybe I found the solution.
You must be root.
Edit /sysyem/build.prop
there are 2 lines to edit:
ro.telephony.default_network=9
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0
That lines must say
ro.telephony.default_network=10
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
There is the diference between both sysyem partitions in ATT and Claro rom.
you have lte so you can test it.
I modify that lines in my phone to make shure thats no problem and works perfect
that lines are behind ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES

whats the problem with root?
steps are simple:
1 - Download the image H950PR V15A
2 - Download the software created by sj12345
you must have LG drivers, but if you flash PR version, you must have it.
3 - open the software and backup yout image, the image will be created in your phones´s internal storage (you can copy, move or whatever you want, but keep it to keep you save if you make a mistake, you can run the tool again and reflash system... till you dont modify anything else than system, that backup must work)
4 - open with winrar or some software to uncompress the image download, and copy the img file to the internal storage of your phone.
5 - then run the tool, the phone will reboot, start in download mode again and when finished, the phone reboots and start with root.
It's more simple than flash PR version

I flashed my AT&T H950 5.0.1 to H950PR 5.1.1 and able to root the phone but I am not able to connect T-Mobile LTE in California (Only can connect to 3G/HSPA+ . I have try using the hidden menu and set to band 4 as the LTE shows up on the signal icon - but no connection on Chrome or any browser. I try speed test - but showing "Network not able to communicate".
When changing the Build.Prop file, did you use BuildProp Editor app and set the
ro.telephony.default_network=10 and telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1 ? Or did you use the ES Editor ?
Thanks.
Hi zc3721, I was wondering if you were able to resolve this issue? I am having the same problem trying to use the Unlocked AT&T H950 with T-Mobile and I like everything about this phone. If anyone can chime in, that'll be great! I made a list of everything i've done:
1) AT&T H950 5.01 to H950PR 5.1.1, Rooted, Band 4 selected through the hidden menu/Shortcut Master Lite app
2) Also deleted the /cust/CLR_PR folder and factory reset after clearing cache/dalvik/full wipe even.
3) Also changed the Build.Prop file as suggestion above with no difference.
4) APN updated/changed to the fast.t-mobile one as well.
Upon restart, I can place a call, but shows I'm only connected to HSPA+ once I go in the hidden menu and change it to Band 4, sometimes I'll get LTE on top or 4G but I am unable to receive data or make a phone call. I'll just try to make a call and it'll end before it even dials. Any input/suggestions from anyone?
Also am I right to believe that a ATT 5.1.1 image has been pulled and can I just flash that over my H950PR 5.1.1? from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/lg-g-flex-2-ls996-zv6-sprint-5-1-1-t3169212
Can I just flash it to that and be back to stock AT&T 5.1.1? I know you can't do PR5.1.1 to AT&T 5.0.1 but is it OK to go from PR5.1.1 to AT&T 5.1.1? Any help would be awesome, thanks!

You can try it. I dont think it work, but you can try.
I have no problem at all with band 4. with no touching anything in hidden menu.
I flash with cse mode, I start the system and configure first startup, I root with sj image, then remove everything in cust folder, and change build.prop, that 2 options, and dual window mod.
REMEMBER TO KEEP A BACKUP IN THE PHONE INTERNAL MEMORY, SO YOU CAN GO BACK TO THAT SYSTEM.IMG
if you try to flash this system, keep both, att and PR one, so you can go back into download mode and do a dd again.
dd works same as linux:
dd if=origin of=destiny
origin= image to flash
destiny= partition to flash
keep in mind that upgrade ATT rom maybe make the phone unable to downgrade, and maybe dont boot at all cause ATT image maybe cannot boot with claro bootloader...
maybe yes....
+1 to everything above.
UGH why is this so hard...
is there a consensus what is best for those of us who bought this phone planning to use it with tmobile?
starting from out of the box:
1. flash to 5.1.1 PR http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/kdz-compatible-att-h950-t3180847
or
2. borrow ATT sim and try and push update to phone. I don't know if it'll update automatically thought...then root and remove bloat
which one is most compatible with tmobile data, usage? I've read a million of these threads and i wish we could organize them a bit better...like a guide for tmobile users or something

well sr, I found the way to do it.
What ar backuped.
Ill give us 2 scrypts.
First one backups everithing exept SYSTEM, USERDATA, CACHE.
second one backups as scrypt 1 exept raw_rescourcesbak
there are only one problem, you must be rooted to do this:
the way to root stock image:
http://highonandroid.com/android-smartphones/how-to-root-lg-g-flex-2-g2-g3-on-lollipop/
and stock images (to come back if you decide to update with ota):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/p-restore-recovery-to-stock-tool-h950-t3171550
then, what you have to do is this:
install adb (I use minimal adb and fastboot and works great)
enable developer options in your phone.
then run minimal adb, you have to put the txt attached in this comment in the same folder to be easyer.
in command prompt you have to put:
to full backup:
adb shell < flex2_1.txt
to low size backup
adb shell < flex2_2.txt
you will have a lot of img files in the internal storage of your phone, thats the backup...
If you can do I will apreciate!
many thanls

I inadvertently purchased a international unlocked LS996 from a ebay seller not realizing it until I tried to activate it on Sprint today. So hoping dd'ing ZV6 stock image would remove whatever the seller did for some reason still will not activate on sprint. Profile/PRL both fail. I have updated to ZV7 as well with no luck. I get 3g data. no lte or calls. I had called sprint and they said they had issues provisioning phones today and had a backlog. Not sure if i believe them or if its something with the phone
What else needs to be done to get this back working on sprint?
Anyone?
Does flashing the stock system bring the phone back to stock, or is it that what the seller did unable to activate on sprint now?

what you need is the original node.db files from the carrier folder
but you need your phone rooted for doing this.
then you can flash back to stock with the corresponding system image and the OTA update to ZV9.
I will upload this files for you in case you cant find them. :good:

Althugh Im haveing a weird issue with wifi saying no internet access when i know my home network is fine...is this related?
Also what are the permissions supposed to be on the /carrier/app/ folder and the node files?

Please do update OP. I'm in a similar boat- unlocked phone that I did manage to activate on sprint but I cannot get several things to work such as: updating PRL, updating profile, visual VM to pick up messages. All of these throw up Authentication Failed messages. Otherwise the phone does generally work well on sprint's networks. There's another thread in here somewhere that outlines the process I (and others) had to go through to get activation to work though it does not seem flawless given these other persistent issues.

Sometimes it gets stuck in "activation screen" and you have to reboot... I used a workaround which I dont remember I sold this phone in January.

what do you have your permissions set to?
Hey everyone,
Here is a guide to flash AT&T Nougat to our T-Mobile S7. For convenience I have uploaded everything needed to google drive.
So far the only thing I have found that isn't working is Wi-Fi Calling.
1) Download everything from this Google Drive folder:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6HE3dipVfjZOVRMcWd1S3IzOVE?usp=sharing
2) Copy the "update.zip" to your SD card. If you don't have an SD Card, you may need to copy it to your phone after step (4)
3) Put your phone into Download mode
4) Flash the PK1 files in Odin (AP, CSC, BL, and CP)
5) Once your phone restarts to the setup screen (could take 10-15 minutes) restart back into Recovery mode. No need to do any setup here
6) Flash update from SD Card and select "update.zip". This step can take over 30 minutes.
7) Once you have gone through the initial setup, you need to fix the APN settings.
a) Go to Settings - Connections - Mobile Network - Access Point Names
b) Click Add
c) Fill in these APN Settings
Name: T-Mobile US LTE
APN - fast.t-mobile.com
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
APN type: default,mms,supl
d) Click the 3dots menu - Save
e) Click on the newly created menu
f) Now your LTE data should work
And Voila! You now have a working final version of Nougat. You can disable almost everything that AT&T puts on there.
EDIT: I've updated the Google Drive link with a compressed file containing all the needed AT&T files.
If this works for you please go to the following post and thank the OP. Without his instructions, I would have not been able to do this.

Are there any connection drops: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular drop? Is the signal good where it is supposed to be good?

No, I haven't had any connection drops. I only flashed it last night, I will definitely keep everyone here updated. Cell signal is just as good as the latest tmobile features.
Also, I realized I posted this in the Q&A section. Any chance an admin could move it to the Guide section

The main differences I found between the Version nougat I was using and this version is that the latest Verizon version I could find was still just a beta. This is what seems to be a fully finished version of nougat. As I said, I have only had this for 1 day on my phone, but so far I have had absolutely no issues. The Verizon version gave me battery life issues, it caused my phone to overheat quite often, this version has none of those problems.

Quick question the, the files I downloaded is a pk1 is that that actual Update file? Or is that the odin files to flash threw odin? Then the update file should be there to do a recovery flash Update?
I'm already on pk1 but the mobile and it didn't flash threw recovery. I thought I'd just have to flash it over this but not being on att started to figure that I need to be on att pk1.
Thanks in advance

Okay, so there are 5 files in the archive. 4 of them end in .tar.md5 and those are the AT&T PK1. You need to flash those files through Odin, than flash the update.zip through the phones recovery mode. You need to be on the AT&T PK1 before you can flash the update.zip through the recovery. Flashing the update.zip while on the T-Mobile PK1 will fail.

Will this procedure clear data? Factory reset?
Can someone please confirm if this clears existing data? I thought Odin doesn't work in this case because of the locked bootloaded on Verizon?

Yes, it probably will. If you are that worried about it, backup your data first. Odin will work even with the bootloader locked. Locked bootloader does not prevent you from loading official firmware.

What app can we use to back up all data like apps sceen layout ect... since we don't have root on Verizon, I know we can't use titanium back up because we don't have root bit is their a similar app to do what that does

Not sure you'll be able to preserve that. I was referring to user data, not system data.

Helium or My Backup Pro, but they are limited without root, which means some data can be restored, but not all.

I extract and I get several files? None of them being .tar files. Does anyone have the 4 files to flash in odin? Am I the only one who didn't get the 4 files mentioned when extracting the Md5? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nobody?

You have to go in odin and select PDA and then add the entire md5 file! If you don't want to do it that way, then you have to download a zipping app like 7z or similar and create the .tar yourself.. Which is pointless unless you're planning on flashing 1 file like the boot.img for a reason or other.. The md5 file has all of the files that need to be flashed there's no need to unzip the files. Just flash as is!
If you're downloading from the OP then you need to unzip the file from the .zip because you can only flash .md5 or .tar.

Thanks. I have issue of my note saying "searching for signal" with full bars until i make a call. I dont think flashing the full file in Ap reset my modem to stock.

Try flashing a modem only file then which is for that signal.. Also boot into recovery using the 3 button combo and clear your Cache after a flash..

I've cleared it after flash and no fix. Does anyone have a modem file I could use. Does it have to be from the same firmware version? Sorry just not really experienced just need to fix this phone it's killing me. I got it off Craigslist don't know the history of it I just know that flashing a fresh stock rom didn't fix the issue.

Is it an actual Verizon phone? And do you know for sure that it's Verizon? Go into settings then about phone and tell me what model it says. If it says other than SM-N920V then it's not a Verizon one.. You can only flash firmware for a specific carrier.. Also check the APN settings too.. And about the modem no you don't have to use the same exact one from the same firmware version you can try a different one however I don't think that'll fix the problem.. Try checking the APN settings first.. Also if you just dropped a sim card into it without first giving Verizon the IMEI then it's not gonna work! You'll have to give them the IMEI and if the IMEI is bad the phone will never work at least not with Verizon.

It is indeed n920v clean imei through verizon prepaid. It gets apn through SIM card which is accurate I have signal T all times and internet/mms work. However when I boot my phone or randomly every so often it will say 'searching for service' throughout the day while still full having signal. During this time I don't receive calls/messages/internet notifications and it is stuck that way until I notice it and dial my voicemail which it then displays "Verizon wireless" and then all notifications come through.

Maybe try using this downgraded version from my Android File Host and flash it using odin but before flashing take the sim card out and after it's done flashing immediately do a factory reset by holding the power and volume down button and after the screen turns off and then back on select shut down and then boot into recovery and do the factory reset after it's finished put the sim card back in then turn it on and go through all the setup and see if it works.. Let the phone charge some first don't try doing this at 3% battery cause if it shuts down in the middle it can brick the phone. Not likely but it could.
