Does anyone have the stock rom for the huawei ascend (METRO PCS !!)

TITLE SAYS ALL! Help please !!

I second this message. I need it badly. If someone will walk me through making a dump from another Ascend I will upload it for you guys.

I recently accidentally installed the Cricket rom on my Metro PCS ascend.
I looked everywhere for the rom.. I dint have luck. so what i did was:
Re-install the cricket rom on my phone Metro PCS BUT when it was installing when it was in the middle i removed the battery. what happen was it stays in the screen that says Android. so I went to the store and told them the phone stoped working. and I was able to make the exchange for $10 in the corporate store and i got a new one in 3days.

I am the MetroPCS store though, I'm not sure I can get away with that. I'm going to try lol.

lol for me they just turned it on saw it dint do anything so they replaced it. I only had the phone for 10days when this happen so i had warranty so i dint have to pay nothing. i get the new one this thursday lol

Have someone with a stock metropcs Ascend make a nandroid backup and just use that for the time being to restore the phone...

Can we use the Hua recovery to restore this?

I plan on writing a howto with screenshots but in the interim the procedure would go as follows:
1)Start Phone in bootloader mode
2)Fastboot erase partitions
3)Fastboot write new data
4)Fastboot reboot phone
And you will be back to stock. I'm going to try to make an update.zip to do the same thing when I get time or at least a shell script package to automate the process(most likely before the howto).
Shell Script Stock Reverter Completed. Please check the other thread for updates as well as the package(should be up in about an hour).

The download for "MetroPCSStock Recovery Package with Scripts" doesn't work. It downloads a 0byte file that doesn't unzip. Someone please help.

Anyone available to guide through IMEI recovery?

I installed hellsROM and things were going good, but i decided to install vrblk3 because of signal issues and lost my IMEI in the process. .. I have followed the steps and it doesn't seem to want to recognize my phone... I feel like i have the drivers already I guess maybe I need to try to redownload... but if someone could direct message me or something and kind of help me through this process i'd be eternally grateful...

I know man I'm following that thread and i don't know if the drivers aren't installed corrently or what.. my cpu recognizes my phone but not the tool

never had to do it, cant really offer much help, sorry.
just figured id post that to see if you had seen it.
hopefully someone else has a better answer for you.

wow.. no wonder those things are stickied.. So the first time I tried using the tool it wouldn't connect to my phone and the tool would freeze. This time it instantly found it and i repaired it.. .I'm now installing cm10.1 to switch setting and see if thats why i still have no service

Ihave no service.. .it says service state: out of service. I do have my restored IMEI, but I have no service.. I restored to stockrooted66 or whatever.. I then ran the IMEI repair steps, then tried the factory reset.. no louck. unlocked bootloader created back up and installed cm10.1 to toggle from rui or something.... typical. If i mess something up during an installation sometimes verizon suspends my account and i call the 877 number to activate 4g service and it tells me that it's suspended and press one to activate.. So i activated and this is the first time i haven't got service.... I am kind of freaking out.. it says it could take up to an hour but the slowest it's been is like 5 minutes... No lluck .. i'm freaking out a bit. why can't i get service...

check to make sure your network settigns are correct in the more settings area.

okay anyone else that runs into this.. I lost imei after trying to install a radio.. so I did the restore. It worked flawlessly ... Unfortunately lost data. This has happened before.. a lot... so I decided to install cm10.1 and switch the mobile network . this didn;t work.. I called verizon to activate 4g account because in the past they have suspended my account and that was the only reason i still didnt have service.. .So it was in fact suspended... i activated.. still no data.. reflashed root66.tar again.. did the code. and i'm good now..

Yeah those " other settings that I didn't know what they were supposed to be" were the only ones that mattered. CDMA subscription > ruim/sim

Help with US firmware H950? Bricked Flex 2

So pretty new to this form I'm from the United States I have a LG flex 2 h950 I rooted the other day and then I installed a application that fixed permissions... once the permissions were fixed the phone turned off and just started boot looping afterwards. I couldn't find software for my phone so I tried flashing H955 software...bad idea... the phone works but seems only the cellular service doesn't work...if there's a way for me to enable the radio somehow or flash different radio please let me know because it's really frustrating I know I'm dumb that i did it to begin with but i can at least use the phone besides cellular service .I didn't know if somebody has a spare H 950 software in there pocket or if there's another way to go around it I can't get anything from LG and I can't get anything from AT&T so pretty much I have a phone that I can't call with or text with also I noticed whenever I go to the hidden menu and I go to phone info...it says this application does not work with this device any help would be appreciated.

On my 3rd flex 2 at&t. I called and made something up and they sent a replacement. They never check. They just refurbish the device as long as it has no external damage.

Really? I was thinking that. But its not my plan. Its my girlfriends i didnt wanna get her disconnected. Because it is also rooted. I heard they can do that. I didnt kno if i could modify something in build prop or flash something. It also sucks because i like this phone and there's no recovery which got me in the situation to begin with. Thanks for the advice though. Im still debating if i should do that or if anyone has any other ideas? Thanks

I had a couple ideas but they didnt really work lol...long story short cant find att stock firmware h950...rooted...bricked...flashed h955 firmware hoping that would work but now i cant get cell service. Says radio is disabled but i cannot find a way to enable

Totally unrelated.. Is h950 att?? In android dev section i started a thread... Someones lookin for system folder so he can work on an unlock... Would you mind sharing it?

ahh bricked LG's. they are really hard to restore.. i remember when i bricked my lg g pro f240k and it took me forever to restore but eventually i did.
it was soo easy.. much easier than i thought.
okay, try this buddy
http://lg-support-tool.en.lo4d.com/ << download and install this. as well as lg drivers.
put your phone into download mode.. and then leave it there.
connect your phone to your pc, and then click find software or something like that.
after youve done that...
it will find the appropriate software and flash it automatically, although you will lose your root, and you might end in android 5.1.1
however i am not too sure...

Please keep us posted, cuz I also bricked my H950. I manage to get SU but for some reason I could not install Titanium, so I proceed to root it again via traditional way. Not the phone just stuck at&t logo. Any help is appreciated!! Why can't we get TOT for this phone??

Unlocked Sprint LS996 wont activate on Sprint

I inadvertently purchased a international unlocked LS996 from a ebay seller not realizing it until I tried to activate it on Sprint today. So hoping dd'ing ZV6 stock image would remove whatever the seller did for some reason still will not activate on sprint. Profile/PRL both fail. I have updated to ZV7 as well with no luck. I get 3g data. no lte or calls. I had called sprint and they said they had issues provisioning phones today and had a backlog. Not sure if i believe them or if its something with the phone
What else needs to be done to get this back working on sprint?

Anyone?

what you need is the original node.db files from the carrier folder
but you need your phone rooted for doing this.
then you can flash back to stock with the corresponding system image and the OTA update to ZV9.
I will upload this files for you in case you cant find them. :good:

Yeah I didnt have the original ones on this phone. It came like this. So if you could upload them that would be great im rooted already on ZV9.
Althugh Im haveing a weird issue with wifi saying no internet access when i know my home network is fine...is this related?
Also what are the permissions supposed to be on the /carrier/app/ folder and the node files?

Well I take it back LTE is showing a connection but anything outside of google.com does not work

Thats because the majority of us buy the phone NOT to use it with sprint but with any other carrier Domestic or INTL.

I understand that but usually there is a method to revert changes. What if someone wanted to sell the phone?
I need to figure this out or try to return it soon. Im close but I cant find any information on what is supposed to be in the carrier folder and the original permissions .
A tot flash will brick the device since im on ZV9 correct?

I resolved my issues. I will update the op for anyone one who need instructions to revert to stock for the carrier partition to use on Sprint since there is no documentation to undo on these forums.

Please do update OP. I'm in a similar boat- unlocked phone that I did manage to activate on sprint but I cannot get several things to work such as: updating PRL, updating profile, visual VM to pick up messages. All of these throw up Authentication Failed messages. Otherwise the phone does generally work well on sprint's networks. There's another thread in here somewhere that outlines the process I (and others) had to go through to get activation to work though it does not seem flawless given these other persistent issues.

I had to do a factory reset via recovery. Clearing the cache as well
Do you have all of the subfolders and files in the carrier folder?

I had 10ulm and flashed it with the G710AWM and now every time I boot my phone i get:
WARNING: Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched carrier. Check NT-code: FFFFFF : 84
The phone works fine since it was unlocked, but I am getting a ton of calls go straight to voicemail and this may be the issue? How can I fix this?

also wifi calling is nowhere to be found under call settings. It seems like I don't have the setting on this version? thoughts

Don't bother pal, stick with the official rom, I had this same issue best option is to just stick with the same variant as your phone, might not be latest but it works good. FYI I have g710emw and was using g710em rom

You are probably right. What a pain to have to flash again and go back?
How are you guys backing up so that you just restore to the same phone you had without having to set up everything again?

I didn't restore, I tried out the rom first, and then just wiped it. What broke it for me was the wifi mac address somehow became lost while using it, maybe some software glitch only by flashing the same variant was I able to restore it.
Best to root and then backup and restore

Hey there, how do you do this KDZ with refurbish option? Will this mean flashing again anyways?
I was hoping that by now the official android 10 version from LG would be out for the unlocked 10ulm, but it seems that they will never update this phone for some reason. This was the Google Fi unlocked G7.
Suggestions please. Thanks

I noticed you are the leader of the other thread I posted, so I will ask here so not to bug you too much
Will the choosing of refurbish option erase the serial or IMEI or anything else that I should be aware of?
Also, when you say flash again you mean using the canadian version correct? I was wondering about the Korean version vs the canadian and what advantage would there be in any.
If you could, please lead me to the instructions to flash again. When I did it, I used a guide from some dude on youtube and I can't find that again.
Also, read somewhere that the error at boot could be fixed by rooting and then changing something with the explorer app. Not sure if that is worth it. I just hate backing up and restoring to find I am logged out of most every app and all settings have to be set up again. It takes me hrs and I am not that technically savvy as you guys.

Flash with the kdz you used before, Canadian firmware is better than Korean. In lgup select refurbish instead of partition dl. It won't tamper with your IMEI and you will loose all your data

Hi dapolicy,
I am done with the LG G7ULM since it will never be updated officially.
I really like having the fingerprint sensor on the back and it seems that the LG G8 is the last iteration of phones from LG with this feature and it is an upgrade from the G7.
It is cheap here in the US.
Which version of this phone should I look for? I will be using it on Mint Mobile, so an unlocked one sounds great and all, but then you see what happened to the G7 ULM that never got android 10 unless it was tied to a carrier.
So, what do you suggest I do so I can get the next couple of updates for android with the G8?

If the firehose was available for the Wing/Velvet you can hex the FTM and fix the NT Code on the Wing.You can try the engineering service menu,but I highly doubt the IMPL is 0 under MID.
