SOMEONE PLEASE TEST THIS AND LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS
Now the time has come after 3 years of fighting with the camera on the note 2, note 3 and note 4 trying to make it have unlimited recording limits (until space is full) is now POSSIBLE!
I have spent the last couple hours digging through and pinpointing the 1 thing that cuts off the 4k recording at 5 minutes and you are now able to record up to 1 hour in 4K. I may try to push it more later but this is a good start.
Instructions:
THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP SO DO NOT FLASH THRU RECOVERY
1. Download the zip and extract the apk SamsungCamera4.apk
2. Download es file explorer and browse to system/apps/SamsungCamera4/
3. Make a backup of everything in that folder then delete everything in the folder
4. Copy over the SamsungCamera4.apk that you downloaded to system/apps/SamsungCamera4/
4a. (In V2) copy the media_profiles.xml to /system/etc and overwrite
5. set permissions to rw-r-r on the file
6. Reboot your phone
7. Once rebooted check to see if your camera works, once up look for KRM in the Camera icon to the top of the record button
8. If you see KRM then you have installed the mod successfully
If you have any questions please ask. I have recorded up to 35 minutes so far but ran out of space so please let me know if you can fully record to 1 hour. While this mod does unlock the full recording limits of 4k samsung has generously unlocked it already for 1920x1080 and below. That being said please do not use this mod for any illegal activity,
Also it will split each 4GB file into separate pieces- usually around 8 minutes-9 minutes

This dosent work i have a s6edge camara force closes
So guys finally the much Awaited feature/MOD is here 60fps 1080p recording on 5x/6p
defcomg has created this MOD which works on FreeDcam(sadly, it doesn't work on Google camera yet) .
He also made an app called libchanger which modifies the libmmcamera_imx377.so file and adds a custom media profile in FreeDcam config folder.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All The Credits goes to @defcomg
So, lets begin.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Things you need
A Rooted Nexus 5x
Root Browser/ES explorer or any other root browser.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*How to Install (MANUALLY)
1.Download the files attached below.
2.Install FreeDcam
3.open root browser and go to system/vendor/lib/ and rename the STOCK lib from libmmcamera_imx377.so to libmmcamera_imx377.bak and Extract the zip and copy libmmcamera_imx377.so(attached below) file there and set permission to rw--r--r.
4.Then go to DCIM/FreeDcam/config/ and delete CustomMediaProfiles.text(stock one) and if its not there then just copy CustomMediaProfiles.text(attached below).
5.Open FreeDcam and go to menu and apply this settings
*set Video Profile: 1080pHFR
*then scroll down to API and set API: camera1
*set Orientation Correction: On
6. Enjoy the beauty of 1080p @ 60fps
*How to Install(Lib changer app)
Though i would suggest you to copy those files manually but in case if you don't want any hassle then just follow this tutorial made by @decomfg
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...ble-60fps-video-recording-libchanger-t3424621
Thank him for this great work.

Doesn't matter the orientation selected, the resulting video is still upside down when the camera is used in "normal" mode (90° anticlockwise ).
Hello everyone. I tried this mod , following all instructions to the letter. And it works. I recorded a couple of videos but they were too big.
Around 1 min in length and 500mb in size. So I converted one of them to slightly lower bitrate mp4 file without audio. In the recordings audio
works. But to reduce file size for easy upload, I disabled audio. Link to sample is given below. The original recordings have orientation issues.
I had to go to VLC player Video effects to rotate video by 180 degrees to watch properly. Anyway, not a big deal. As we now have 60fps 1080p videos.

THANKS TO THE DEVELOPER. AWESOME WORK.

Hello all. I tested this mod after my previous report. It still works. But google camera and the other modded Camera X app crash when i choose slow-motion mode.
Is this expected ? I can provide logs, If needed. Thanks.

Yes, 60 fps kills 120 fps slowmotion.
Hey guys i got this to work without touching system using Magisk, i'm waiting for a response from the developer of Magisk just to make sure i did all the good steps (coding wise) and i will release it here.
Just doubled check here and android pay still works as far as removing or adding cards, just don't know if purchases will work since none of my cards work with pay.
does this work on N?

Asking the real questions here
do you have to use the dcam app to have 60fps or after lib change can it be recorded thru stock camera?
It is expected to support 7.1.1??
That's an amazing mod, i love that
Sorry for the incontinence but... Is it on developing a version compatible with Google Camera?
Dear community,
Everything seems to work except video recording at 60 fps (at any resolution). I can select it but when i press the record button i only get a toast message: ''Could not start media recorder. Can't start video recording'' (without the quotes).
Also in Whatsapp I'm able to send and receive pictures. Same in Snapchat. Everything works fine(at 30fps but that's normal in the apps how it should). Its just the main camera(snap camera) that can't film in 60fps. However, 30 fps works good on any resolution (even 4k). Taking and reviewing pictures also works flawlessly. In the past i used a Candy6 rom based on 6.0.1 that had the same camera app (the default snap camera). 60 fps worked flawlessly there.
I did a clean flash. Wiped everything, flashed the rom and Gapps and rebooted.
I'm currently on the newest build of Resurrection Remix 7.1.2
is there some .zip i deed to flash in recovery to enable 60fps recording or something else maybe? Perhaps another kernel?
That's the only thing i miss because the rest of the rom is perfect, performs very well and even supports Substratum.
I attached a logcat and a screenshot. Only thing i did is update magisk and restores some (not camera related) apps from titanium backup but that should not matter.
I hope someone can help because i really miss the feature.
I bought this phone because of Chris from Tech tablet showing how smooth it was on 4k. Chris was using the China version of the phone. However after buying the phone, I could NEVER get 4k EIS to work because the Open camera app keeps crashing, so I gave up. Today, after doing some research, I looked at youtube videos showing Note 5 Pro 4k EIS were from July 2018 and earlier. Those Indians were using the global version of the phone. That made me wonder if it is related to firmware.
Turns out, you need to be on MIUI 9. The camera settings were changed on MIUI 10 so 4k EIS stopped working.
Here are the steps to make it work:
1) Downgrade/upgrade to 9.5.7.0 Global firmware. It is the last build of MIUI 9 without antirollback. https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/index-everything-anti-roll-t3816219
2) Download open camera. do not enable hal 3 in build.prop.
3) Choose 4k under video settings, 40mbps bit rate ( higher will cause apl to crash because it only supports 42mbps), h264 format (HEVC Doesnt work). set 24fps. any faster sd636 unable to stabilize
4) Under more camera controls, Use Storage access framework
Now if you record video, wait 2-3 seconds lag before it starts recording. 4k EIS works! Since cropping from 12MP to 8MP there is less area compared to 2MP for 1080p videos, the stabilization is not as great compared to fullHD stabilization
Reserved for video samples.....
Hi I am newbie

MadAsh .xml
drive.google.com
How to install :-
Download the Apk of gcam 8.1 Wichaya snap camera and install it
Now copy the Config the Config file on internal storage Gcam/Config8 and paste it

(Idk why our Nokia 3.4 is limited to only 1 sec shutter on every manual camera app on gcam Astrophotography it can goes upto 15 sec max I only tested on Andriod 11 with September security patches )
@Hashir295 Good to see that you recognised my reply here.
Just a suggestion if you add tags to your thread it can be found even more easily. To add (or to edit) them, just click on the small icon left of "None" in your thread's title.
Spoiler: Screenshots
Everything works good. But I have one question. Is there a way to make camera launch faster? Because sometimes it starts normally, but sometimes it takes half a minute to start.
I don't know why its a port version remember Google pixel use a separate chip for photoprocessing our cpu not enough powerful so ti takes sometimes
Green tint disappears when HDR+ model for primary and front is selected as Pixel XL.
Put the fps of the video to 60 so its not lagging
