I have decided to try and port the MIUI rom to UMI Zero,
Here's my work... (I am not a developer but I followed some instructions online and was able to make it at least for me...)
Probably there will be bugs - so let me know
I'll try to fix what I know...
Supported Languages:
All languages that are supported by Xiaomi.EU roms.

Installations:
Important:
Prior to any install make sure to backup your existing ROM. (TWRP backup?) if you wish to backup your SMS/Contacts there are a bunch of apps that can do it... (MobilePro is an example)
Backup your IMEI just in case... (Use MobileUncle or similar)
If you chose to install - your warranty is void.
I am not responsible for any damage that may be caused by this ROM.
if coming from another rom/ Fresh install
as ususal... - I recomend a total wipe, but it is not a must....
Wipe Cache, Dalvik, Data, System, custpack.
Install Rom from SD card or internal memory
reboot.
To update (existing Miui Rom):
Copy rom to SD Card or External SD card)
Open updater app.
Click on the 3 dots
Chose select update file --> select your copied file.
Reboot
*** Make sure to disable OTA... as it is based on Redmi Note 3G MTK, and I can't promise to keep this forever...
Recovery:
I used TWRP 2.8.2.0 for UMI (can be downloaded from NEEDROM site)

- the highlight on some menus is not on the text (haven't figured out what to fix yet...) (Download settings is an example)
- USB MTP mode will work after changing from Debug to normal or vice versa (strange...) - Fixed on Oct 1st ver.
- Lack of some icons (clock, weather) in the default themes (thanks alvin2014) - Fixed
- Do not save the settings themes (after a reboot back to the default) (thanks alvin2014) - Fixed
- Drain the battery it is also too fast. (thanks alvin2014) - fixed (according to users...)
- BT pairing with phones stopped working (V5.9.24) - Fixed.
- BT Car-kit disconnects - Fixed

- MTP is not recognized by PC - go to developer settings and switch USB debug mode from whatever it is at, then your PC will identify the device (tested on Windows 10) - Fixed

I test it and it is almost perfect, except for a few bugs that are present also in the original ROM MIUI, it also has own bugs
- The lack of some icons (clock, weather) in the default themes
- Do not save the settings themes (after a reboot back to the default)
- Drain the battery it is also too fast.
I hope that at least once in two weeks you issue your rom and not give up the topic because they go very well.

for me after calibrating the sensor, it works great.

Hello, is the battery life improved in this update? And I noticed on the screenshots that it says 1,75 GB RAM. Is the phone using only 1,75GB instead of 2GB with this ROM?

This is just the display, it also will not show total ram in recent, only available ram
As for battery life, you tell me... I think it should be better.

EDIT: Just installed the ROM, I will do some tests now
Hmm I don't know why, but I cant unlock the SIM, and I can't past the initial screen :/. I enter the PIN and then after a short while it asks me for the PIN again and again
EDIT2: I just reinstalled the ROM and now when I enter the PIN it just says: "Unlocking SIM card" forever... There must be some problem with the phone app.
Now I rebooted and I get constantly the error com.android.phone has stoppped working, even without the SIM card inserted

I only tried the newest version
For me, beyond the known bugs, it is also ok, but I before installing the rom I had disabled PIN

The problem PIN is an internal bugs MIUI 5.9.24. In 5.9.26 is improved.

How to install:
Download/copy Rom to the memory card
In recovery make wipe data, wipe cache, and wipe dalvik

Important information on latest version 11.06.2013::
To update the rom with previous version (09.05/03.06), in recovery enough to do wipe cache and dalvik cache. Everything including wifi should work. If some application isn't working properly, clear the application data in Settings > Applications
Rom for a few minutes after the start may a little slowly work. Wait for all processes to be loaded and then you feel the speed
For improve the working of rom, I recommend to delete file "99seeder" in the system/etc/init.d
You can do this a file manager with root privileges (eg root explorer).
When you delete the file, mandatory make restart phone.
Recommended options:
I will recommend changes clock speed CPU Clk4 at least 1100 and possibly change voltage Vsel1-Vsel3 5-10 less. These changes have practically no effect on the battery and phone noticeably better working.
To use these options, run phone again in Bootmenu > CPU Settings and set an appropriate value (eg as above). Finally, slide down and press Save. Changes will be saved permanently and will not change when you reboot the phone.

i love this rom..but the battery i notice after using for one day..android OS and media server take up too much battery..any solution? overall this rom is really smooth..fast..i really like all the features and fluidity..good job man!!
Maybe restart your phone. I think that after second charge phone battery will function normally. On my phone, battery works just like the other CM10.
Any opinions? Rom has been downloaded more than 220x and silence in the thread
Looks interesting, I've moved on from my Defy but I'll try it out as I'm quite happy using slim bean on my S3 and Nexus 7. Would be nice to breathe some new life into this phone.
Edit: Has this ROM been tested with any of the available custom kernels (i.e JellyX)?
I haven't tested custom kernels. Probably one of the older jellyx will work.
I think that no need for custom kernels because standard rom is fast.
solve my battery problem with draining the battery and recharge back...definitely a keeper..thanks taki_jeden..awesome job with the rom!!! ^_^

Just flashed this ROM. Wi-Fi reception is a bit weaker than other Quarx ROMs, and can't connect to other access points I'm used to, but lucky for me I have several access points, so not THAT big an issue. Aside from that, loving it so far, already managed to record a 2 minute video with stock camera app without the audio cutting during the recording, so depending on battery life, I'll probably stay on this ROM.
Also, very customizable. Nice work. :good:
Edit: Boot also takes a bit longer than what I'm used to, not a big issue though, just an observation. And sometimes it takes a while for my sim card to register to the network, will see how it behaves during the next few days.
Very nice rom, snappy and interactive. Only problem I'm facing is my text messages don't get delivered. It always fails please let me know if there's a solution?

SMS messages are working fine for me, but I did have this problem on one of the CM10 roms. The only fix was to wipe data/cache from custom recovery. It also might be a problem with your message service center.
Dial *+*+4636+*+*, then go to "Phone information", and scroll down to the "SMSC" and press "Resfresh". It should show a number that corresponds to your carrier. Call your carrier and confirm that that is the correct SMSC number. If it's not, ask them for the correct number, write it down in the box and press update. Not sure if you have to reboot or not, and generally this is not necessary since your phone should find the correct number automatically.
If this doesn't work, I'd wipe data and check again; that's what worked for me anyway (can't find the source right now, sorry), so you never know.

NFC Removed Intentionally due to FCs
**It seems that there is a bug with some devices. After flashing the ROM they are unable to get past the Miui setup, more specifically the wifi setup.**
If this is true I invite you to try the following based on your Recovery.
Others had success with the following:
TWRP Recovery? = When you wipe, do an Advanced Wipe and select everything except for Internal SDCard and USB-OTG.
Philz Advanced Recovery? = Perform a full wipe to install a new ROM
CWM? = Don't know unfortunately, I haven't tested with this recovery. Maybe there is an option like Philz to full wipe to install a new ROM

I had issues after installing the Gapps for 4.4.2 from goo.im so I linked to the Paranoid Android ones instead since that is what the ROM is based on. Please let me know if you continue to see issues.

Im not sure because I have not tested but you should be able to use it with Multirom and share a kernel with another 4.4.2 ROM. The kernel hasnt been modifed to make this one work.

I've just installed the FULL MODULAR PACKAGE from PA GAPPS linked in this topic but after sync my google account: Play Store, Hangout, Youtube and some other apps just crash. I'll try to install another gapps package now.

It's work with kexec kernel. Rom looks good but it haven't multilanguage. :good:
Edit: I flashed Bank's Standart Gapps and it's works good except Google Play.

I do not believe there is multilang support for v6 yet since it's still so new. I could be wrong though but the only official release of v6 was for the 2013 N7 and it didnt have multilang

That is not the ROM that was ported with. Those ROMs are from miuiandroid.com (ibotpeaches) and are indeed multilang AFAIK. This ROM was ported from official Miui http://en.miui.com/download-213.html
I will definitely look into porting that version as I tend to like their ROMs better because they're already deodexed and zipaligned and have SuperSU for root as opposed to the built-in stuff from Miui.

Well i ported that 4.3.28 ROM just for you but I dont know how to check for multilang support. Gapps "seems" to be working ok so far, no FCs yet but too early to tell as I literally ported it like 30 mins ago.
I will continue to work on both ROMs until I find the most stable build.

So far only the FM Radio is not working and some toggles in the notification drawer such as the flash light and the hotspot options and other... Very good performance till now. Will report again. Thanks for the rom!
Oh and also there is not a option to change the capacitive buttons for example the menu with recent apps switcher ( i know that i can with xposed)...

For hotspot option to appear in QS :we have to switch on the hotspot once .Then it will get appeared.

For the sim bug ,i have a solution ,no need to reboot.
Don't use the device after some seconds(>20) of boot .It will automatically detect both the sims. MM roms take time to detect sim.

At the first boot it the default first time setup wizard i had to skeep the mobile data activator because the rom wasn't able to recognize the sim card, but after that i didn't even have to reboot and the sim was recognized. I have rebooted the phone several times and haven't experienced it yet. I will report tommorow for more detailed overview.

Switching Themes causes:
1. The first drag-down of the notification panel makes it offset to the side, but only once.
2. System UI has a chance to crash afterwards while opening an app.

Is there any audio problem after flashing god's kernel and if no.....then in what sequence did u flash the kernel(with ROM and gapps for dirty flashing in detail)

No problems in general, really.
Edit: Yeah, there is an audio routing problem bypassable with this app.
The installation sequence was.
(The Recovery i used was TWRP 3.0.2.0
1. Full Wipe (Sys/Data/Cache/ART-Dalvik)
2. Install Beanstalk
3. Install GApps
4. Install God's Kernel
5. Reboot
Note: All of the zips were installed over Sideload, this shouldn't be important or relevant to the installation, but i thought I'd give as much detail. After a while i also flashed xposed fw and it works just fine. That's all i can tell you at this moment.
Extra: I noticed that it will sometimes (but extreeeeemelly rarely (twice in 3 days) soft-reboot by itself. As well as the External SD-Card not having right permissions, so the stock CM File Manager can't access it, i suggest using a 3rd party one (FX File Explorer did the trick, personally).

The battery life after a full day of on mobile network.
Using Gods Kernel R2.
I faced very heavy battery drain and overheating. In idle with vattery saving mod on for 40 minutes from 15% to 4%. The phone was very very hot!

Use God's Kernel R1. R2 has some issues which keeps the cpu frequency high

Its a bug in currently all MM roms for A6000/plus. Change the mode to file transfer mode everytime you connect to your PC.
best MM rom all thing are work perfectly ,good battery backup even so much smooth on a6000(1gbram).

How install ROM?
First time installing A-ROM to your Redmi Note 3 MediaTeK or coming from another ROM:
Make sure you have unlocked your bootloader
Flash a custom recovery via Fastboot (any other installing methods will do, just make sure you have TWRP recovery installed)
When you have recovery:
Push A-ROM and Any Gapps (example A-Gapps) to your device
Boot into Recovery
Perform factory reset
Flash the AROM 6.0.1_hennessy_OpenProject x.x.x from SD card
Flash GApps for Marshmallow from SD card
Done, You can reboot your device.

Good, smooth ROM , thanks developer very much for his time and work! But when I go to Lockscreen and User settings, settings crashes.
Battary percentage is don't fixed too. My phone keep working on a 1% for a 11 minutes and longer in a max brightness.
i will do a little review of the v2.1.
Smoth and without lag on the main menu. Its looks really pretty but with a few bugs.
Battery charge problem is now solved, works fine. Access to gallery from the camera doesn´t work. Emojis doesn´t appears on the keyboard (even if you install GBoard keyboard). And instagram videos goes frame by frame, its too lagged.
How I flash this rom to my device?
This ROM is amazing but there is a bug when displaying the Chinese language this symbol appears "［荒野行" Any way to fix it? Thank you

If you don't like, just remove systemui and system folders in system/privapps with theese folders from standart LOS.

After installation asks for code or pattern and does not accept any as correct
Installed without any problem (no ask for code or pattern) and working in Spain. I have not tried it more because I have returned to Android Q

And I found the same problem. In the end I couldn't get through any roms and I installed the genuine rom via computer. I haven't tried this one since. Too bad, and she looks really good to me.
What about Cast/screen Mirroring?

after installation do Normal WIPE then FORMAT DATA.......
I am on latest stable OTA version (MIUI Global 11.0.2, Android 7.0). Can I do dirty flash of this ROM? Will it work or will I ran into any problems?
I'm on Mi Globe 12.0.1.1 your earlier rom, it has problems in bluetooth calls and camera also.
Should i flash this one over the existing, will bt calls gonna work?

I have flashed your rom of v12.0.1.1. Is it possible for an OTA update instead of downloading 1.8gb all over again??? Please do reply if anybody has OTA for this
My review for this rom:
I used the rom for 2 days and my observations are:
1. The phone heats up too much even for normal apps like video. whatsapp etc.
2. The phone is too laggy. (4gb version)
3. SBI banking app doesnt work whereas ICICI and federal bank are working
4. Clash of Clans doesnt work as well as Jio Call app
5. Battery drains too much quickly
My suggestion is that it cannot be used as a daily rom and I am switching back to the same developers previous rom(based on android 9)

Reason why the phone heats up so much is because of the kernel that OCs the CPU to 3.15ghz, same reason with the battery drain as well.
It's damm slow.
It's too slow to use even for a day, it would've been the best experience if it was faster. For real, it's a beautiful rom.
