NFC Removed Intentionally due to FCs
**It seems that there is a bug with some devices. After flashing the ROM they are unable to get past the Miui setup, more specifically the wifi setup.**
If this is true I invite you to try the following based on your Recovery.
Others had success with the following:
TWRP Recovery? = When you wipe, do an Advanced Wipe and select everything except for Internal SDCard and USB-OTG.
Philz Advanced Recovery? = Perform a full wipe to install a new ROM
CWM? = Don't know unfortunately, I haven't tested with this recovery. Maybe there is an option like Philz to full wipe to install a new ROM

Im not sure because I have not tested but you should be able to use it with Multirom and share a kernel with another 4.4.2 ROM. The kernel hasnt been modifed to make this one work.

That is not the ROM that was ported with. Those ROMs are from miuiandroid.com (ibotpeaches) and are indeed multilang AFAIK. This ROM was ported from official Miui http://en.miui.com/download-213.html
I will definitely look into porting that version as I tend to like their ROMs better because they're already deodexed and zipaligned and have SuperSU for root as opposed to the built-in stuff from Miui.

Well i ported that 4.3.28 ROM just for you but I dont know how to check for multilang support. Gapps "seems" to be working ok so far, no FCs yet but too early to tell as I literally ported it like 30 mins ago.
I will continue to work on both ROMs until I find the most stable build.
Thank you all for testing this out in it's early stages :good:

Actually, turning this on lowers CPU usage because its the GPU that renders, so it might even be beneficial for the battery,,,

I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom Jelly Bean ROM for the 3G Nexus 7! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROMs
MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROMs are based on CyanogenMod nightly ROMs. While a MCR release is designed to feel like a stock ROM with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience and the aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device, a MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROM blends the great tweaks and features of CyanogenMod with the goodness of a MCR to hopefully create a 'best of both worlds'.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM you must have a custom recovery installed. The ROM is installed at your own risk. A wipe IS recommended if coming from a ROM other than MCR or stock. BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE INSTALLATION!
MCR Nexus ROM features Include... (many optional via the Online Kitchen) - check kitchen defaults for what is in the prebake:
Based on CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies (the aim is to update the ROM every Friday), updated, rebuilt, compressed and optimised with the MCR build system.
For this MCR we've compiled a CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly build, updated with all the latest versions of the installed apps, which we've run through our scripts to ensure that it is as optimised as possible both for install / download size and real life performance.

De-odexed... re-odexable.
Our ROMs are de-odedex, giving you the ability to flash other mods over the top, tweak the system and generally get the system set up as you want it without worrying about odex issues. We also include the 'OdexMe' application, which lets you odex your system when you're ready, saving valuable space on your data partition.

Apps aren't disabled on boot
Jelly Bean added a feature to disable apps on boot that aren't intended for your region (Wallet, Ears, Magazines etc.). I think we're smart enough to make that decision ourselves right? So that doesn't happen in a MCR.

Re: [ROM-3G] r5 **3G** (CM 10.1): MoDaCo CyanogenMod Custom ROM for the Nexus 7 3G
Interested but I want to ask something.
1. Does this Rom have USB OTG native support? (without need for Stick mount app)
2. Future update is given by OTA system or as a manual download from this thread?
3. Are mms and phone app included? Is there SIP calling support?
4. Does this Rom allows users to change nav bar height, or better yet, turn it off altogether? Expanded desktop option is bad because with it we can't see notifications on status bar.
5. Gapps is included or not?
6. Is wifi tethering feature included? What about bluetooth and usb tethering?
7. Does this Rom wipe all data in my tablet during flashing?
Edit: now I understand the concept of this rom. I like the custom custom rom concept but I can't afford to pay $10 annually for it. Pre bake is nice but there are just too many apps that I don't want, that I consider as bloatwares, pre installed. Hopefully when my financial is stable I can try this rom. Until that time comes, I will try other rom. Thanks

As always, will refresh prebake when kitchen bakers confirm all is well. No wipe required, back up before flashing!

r7, based on the JDQ39 / 4.2.2 release, is now in the kitchen!
Since this is a COMPLETE rebase, it'd be great if kitchen users could test it before I create the prebake. As always, once everything is confirmed OK, i'll put up the prebake.
Enjoy!

I've just made a small update to the kitchen - this fixes a FC issue with Play Store services and also adds the Ovivo Mobile APN.
Would anyone be interested in a kitchen option to fix AdBlock again for 4.2.2? This is technically a security hole, but i've had at least one request.

Woooow Waiting for Stable Version
Man...! you'r the man man!
Another Rom this is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, very responsive and beautiful.
having problem with camera maximum pixel rate is set to 3mp and when changing to video mode the focus stays the same as camera and we have to return to camera to focus again, auto-focus isn't available.
-cant give root permissions to Titanium backup and no -trills cpu.
keep testing
Brilliant

Hey. Thank you kind sir, pleasure. As long as it remains alive, development shall continue! Aha. I haven't forgotten about the Nokia X port, the RIL is becoming alot of work to get functional. With only two of us it's been quite demanding. I admit I've not kept myself updated on newer ports for the Nokia X; mostly due to life jumping in the foreground. I will take the time to play around with some newer builds and see what I can do.
Right now I'm going to fix those remaining issues on lewa; browser, camera and google search fc on keyboard. Along with any others I come across and/or reported. Perhaps make it even more speedier

As long as we are alive, is isn't late. I was soo eager to try out Nokia's own Android build they made. But it keeps dying as the days goes by. Though I tried some app ports but it isn't like running the fully functionality os port.
I try MUI and it was fantastic except for some FCS and its lagging issues.
I believe Lewa is also great. Keep up the good work. Though I will like to see the most popular oses port for our device, people like you and Musta are doing great job of keeping our device alive as much as you can.

Headphones are not working
Hey @Stickman89,
Wonderful work mate! :good:
Installed this ROM couple of hrs ago. Did some basic testing and glad it passed on that.
Till now got one issue:
The headsets are not working while playing music. I have tried both stock as well as Sony MDR series headphones but those are not working, every time the sound is coming through loud speaker.
Please fix this asap.
Thanks for your time and Job well Done.

Hi All,
I have decided to try and port the MIUI rom to UMI Zero,
Here's my work... (I am not a developer but I followed some instructions online and was able to make it at least for me...)
Probably there will be bugs - so let me know
I'll try to fix what I know...
Supported Languages:
All languages that are supported by Xiaomi.EU roms.
Credits:
Xiaomi.eu - for the translations and guides.
MiUIPro.Ru - for the base UMI Miui Rom.
NeedRom - for recovery files.
Harsh Navani - for the great tutorial.
Arcatarc - for his Bluetooth modules that solved my issues
Latest version Download links:
Android File Host:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982086997627
XdaDevDB:
*** Note from next week I will not have the UMI phone anymore...
I can make the roms but will not be able to verify...
Installations:
Important:
Prior to any install make sure to backup your existing ROM. (TWRP backup?) if you wish to backup your SMS/Contacts there are a bunch of apps that can do it... (MobilePro is an example)
Backup your IMEI just in case... (Use MobileUncle or similar)
If you chose to install - your warranty is void.
I am not responsible for any damage that may be caused by this ROM.
if coming from another rom/ Fresh install
as ususal... - I recomend a total wipe, but it is not a must....
Wipe Cache, Dalvik, Data, System, custpack.
Install Rom from SD card or internal memory
reboot.
To update (existing Miui Rom):
Copy rom to SD Card or External SD card)
Open updater app.
Click on the 3 dots
Chose select update file --> select your copied file.
Reboot
*** Make sure to disable OTA... as it is based on Redmi Note 3G MTK, and I can't promise to keep this forever...
Recovery:
I used TWRP 2.8.2.0 for UMI (can be downloaded from NEEDROM site)
If you like my work feel free to buy me coffee Donation link
Known Issues:
- the highlight on some menus is not on the text (haven't figured out what to fix yet...) (Download settings is an example)
- USB MTP mode will work after changing from Debug to normal or vice versa (strange...) - Fixed on Oct 1st ver.
- Lack of some icons (clock, weather) in the default themes (thanks alvin2014) - Fixed
- Do not save the settings themes (after a reboot back to the default) (thanks alvin2014) - Fixed
- Drain the battery it is also too fast. (thanks alvin2014) - fixed (according to users...)
- BT pairing with phones stopped working (V5.9.24) - Fixed.
- BT Car-kit disconnects - Fixed
- Battery saver FC on startup - fixed

Ok thanks, I will try it today
EDIT: Just installed the ROM, I will do some tests now
Hmm I don't know why, but I cant unlock the SIM, and I can't past the initial screen :/. I enter the PIN and then after a short while it asks me for the PIN again and again
EDIT2: I just reinstalled the ROM and now when I enter the PIN it just says: "Unlocking SIM card" forever... There must be some problem with the phone app.
Now I rebooted and I get constantly the error com.android.phone has stoppped working, even without the SIM card inserted
Sry but it isn't working for me
Strange...
I will check, I also faced BT issues with the new rev.
Did you try both revs?

No, Gapps aren't included...

@ale_191 : Rom and description looks sleek...velocity in the name reminds me of another awesome rom I hope you continue to keep it lean and fast Is the toolchain used a custom one or stock with optimizations ? Also second you should try rebasing it using mhc19j version for bullhead as it contains more code fixes and fixed stuff along with March security update compared to v version

The rom is compiled with stock toolchain., but I have turn off debug (-g ) during compiling
The rom is very slim and optimized, test it, you'll like it
The velocity in name is a citation of DC Comics, velocity 9, the speed drugs
mmm... MHC19J is good question.... Maybe in next release I can merge the optimizations and fixes ( not think are so many things ... in some circumstances it would seem even older code )
unfortunately , DMservice has stopped keeps popping up

Absolutely will try over the weekend...
Also a decent toolchain might help over stock with -g build...
Btw J version is newer actually with fixes...as quoted and confirmed by google dev...
https://www.reddit.com/r/nexus5x/comments/49jwbs/ota_update_for_nexus_5x/
Some of the fixes will help/address:
General slow/sluggish performance
DND next alarm disappearing issue
Bluetooth/WiFi improvements
Carrier-specific bug fixes
So that would be a better base and has a lot of fixes and improvements
Mark ROM?? AS IN THE MARK ROM FROM THE OG NEXUS 5??!
Wow dude. I am genuinely surprised. Welcome to the party, man!
