I am having an annoying problem! Every time I restart the phone My App Shortcuts disappear on the Launcher Screens. The App Drawer is completely blank (One I restart again (double restart) they show up again.) I have tried deleting the Cache and Data for Touchwiz, but the problem still persists. The only things on my Touchwiz home-screens that stay intact are my widgets.
I do have a lot of Apps installed about 250. I am wondering if it is a bug in Touchwiz that is not waiting for Apps to populate the App drawer.

I'm not sure if it's because I have Go Launcher but occasionally when I go to the app drawer to open an app it doesn't open. The app icon would dim as if it is about to launch and then nothing. It's stuck. I have to exit out of the drawer and then go back to launch.
I'd say it happens about 20% of the time trying to open an app.
Anyone have this problem/solution?
I've used Golauncher Ex for months and haven't seen that issue. Not sure what would be the cause. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstall?
Hi,
Just got HTC One X today and immediately updated to JB. After installing my apps and setting it up, I noticed that certain widgets would disappear from my home screen (Nova Launcher) and from lock screen (WidgetLocker). Only certain widgets - Battery Widget Reborn, Power Toggles, Smooth Calendar. After a reboot, they show up as grey boxes and I would have to tap and setup the widget again. Also noticed that SwiftKey would no longer be set as default keyboard and I would have to disable/re-enable to be able to choose it again.
Messed around and it's the same behavior with the stock launcher but with that, they the widgets just disappear altogether.
I did a system erase and pretty much nothing installed, same behavior. I've played with every setting to see if that had an effect but no different.
Has anyone encountered this or have any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff
Whenever i try to unistall an app from the app drawer by dragging the app icon to the uninstall icon, a new homescreen automatically gets added.
While other homescreens are denoted by small dots this new homescreen is denoted by a small + sign.
I noticed this while i was on 4.4 and even now while i'm on 4.4.2.
I tried replicating the same other ICS device but it did not happen on that device.
Anyone else getting this?? Or is there something that i'm doing wrong??

good day.
Hi.
I have a strange problem. I have FRD-L19 for about 1 week now. I noticed twice that the settings app does not open when I try to start it from the homescreen (I'm using nova launcher)
When I touch the app icon screen gets white for a split second and than back to homescreen. I can touch the icon as often as I want, the settings app won't open. When I try to open settings app via novas app drawer the app opens. After that it is also possible to start via homescreen. I haven't tried with emui launcher yet.
Has anyone noticed a similar behavior?
Try a hard reboot. Hold power button till device reboots. I notice weird issues sometimes and the power menu reboot option does not do a hard reboot. Seems more like a soft reboot.
I know previous versions of Nova used to messe up with Emui4.
Have you tried using it without Nova to see the settings app behaviour?
Definitely an issue with the launcher, I've never had an issue with Action Launcher 3 if you don't want to use the stock launcher?
Hi, I have a Samsung S10+ running Android 10 and One UI 2.5.
I am constantly getting an issue with Nova Launcher where if i clear my recent apps the screen refreshes and then One UI takes over and it goes to that home screen rather than Nova. If i then press the Home button again it then takes me back to Nova's home screen again and does stay there until i clear my recent apps again.
Nova is definitely set to the default launcher and when this happens i go into the Nova settings and it shows no launcher is set as default, i then set it as default but the same thing keeps happening each time.
I have tried clearing the cache from both Nova and One UI but this didn't fix anything.
Is this a know issue? It has happened for a while but wasn't that annoying but since a recent android update it seems to be happening all the time now.
Does anyone know if i can fix this?
Thanks
James

Yes , it's because since Android 10, the nav bar and recent UI are managed by your default launcher. That's really infuriating I know. But if you root your device with magisk, there is a module called QuickSwitch that allows you to set a third-party launcher as the nav bar UI provider.
Hope that helps
