I've got some offline RUU update software(RUU_ACCORD_U_APO_00_HTC_Europe_2.00.401.03_1.11b.32.19.23_2_15.42.32_RETAIL_ENC_RELEASE.exe). Do you want to try this? I share it in a Netdisk
Sounds great! Thank you very much. How can I update this from file?
Can someone please explain the relevance of your boot loader showing "security unlocked" please?
I have a Verizon which is unlocked for other providers yet dialling ##778# and entering 00000 I cannot edit my M.IP default profile. Will security unlocking the device fix this?
How would I do this?

Sorry, I have never tried cause i got an unbranding one... Apart from Nokia Lumia 920, we can download all kind of firmwares such as branding or unbranding ones from NaviFrm. No one have released a branding firmware for 8x. so, if the unbranding firmware cause your device problems, you cannot flash you 8x back to branding firmwares. I suggest u wait for several months and get feedback from other user, if they flash their branding device with a unbranding firmware
DO NOT flash roms named RETAIL!
These are demonstrations rom dedicated for in store presentation.

No, Windows Phone 7 (and 8) are completely different o/s' than Windows Mobile 6.x. The software will not run. You'll have to look for a new version of the TomTom software in the WP8 Store (or WP7 Marketplace).

[Q] AT&T M8 - Recovery Tool

I have a Favor to ask.
If you have an AT&T M8 for Windows and have recently used the Windows Phone Recovery Tool to restore your M8 back to WP8.1 I have a favor to ask.
Can you go to this location on your PC
C:\ProgramData\HTC\Packages\Products
Click to collapse
There should be a subfolder in there with two .nbh files. Can some one upload them so that I can add the standalone HTC RUU install files. Like that those who can't restore using the WPRT can attempt it using separate HTC tools.
This will benefit the community and hopefully help others out of a tough situation.
Please and thank you
someone at wpcentral forum finally posted the at&t rom.
real rom name is: IMG_W8_UL_BLUE_00_Cingular_US_1.05.502.01_1.22.213311581_RETAIL_ENC_RELEASE.nbh

I was able to finally get the WP recovery tool to work. I can provide the link for the ROM file for the Verizon HTC One M8 phone. Unfortunately the forum does not allow me to post a link to the file.

You shouldnt have to if you have any concerns just do it though smart switch on your pc once the program opens up click over to emergencey recovery and punch in your device name eg. SM-G92xx and your serial number make sure its all capitals it will download the correct software for your device and flash it for you. If this dosent work then you shouldn't have problems with odin as long as your not downgrading from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1
That's the wierd thing. Smart switch will not recognise my phone. Windows dose and Odin just not smart switch. Is it because I'm rooted running a custom rom.
I was on 6.0.1 but reverted back to a 5.1.1 custom rom. Dose that make a difference.
Thanks

Hello mate, i found a solution and successfully update my device to Oreo officially i just changed the CID and MID back to KIDDI japan au and downloaded the marshmallow official flash zip file (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1noyAV4mGLTRNGaXqbdweRHsARWZ9J6LH) and install it by placing it to Mirco SD card after installation i went to software update and updated to Oreo. PS: my device were network locked while i were trying to convert it to international version but after flashing it unlocked automatically probably i flashed the wrong version. let me know in case of any problem.

Hello. I tried to use a Custom ROM. I unlocked my bootloader using ADB and htc's account in this site [ htcdev.com ] to get a key, and installed TWRP. Now i'm with problems. I tried many custom ROMs but the Wifi connection is broken and seems this version 1.28.598.4 is from America Latina (I'm from Brazil) and I couldn't get back to stock yet. If you would try, make a backup of your stock first by TWRP. I would really appreciate if you make it and share the Backup Folder.

Just a couple of ideas, have yoi tried factory reset in settings, also you did not say if you tried resetting with a ruu using the sd card method. That is another option. Also if you list your cid, mid we can help further. Hth
