Missing function "Import contact from SIM" on Lollipop OG1 ? - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Somebody know how to "import contact from SIM" because I cannot find this function from my S5 updated to latest firmware G900PVPU3BOG1 ?

If it's missing then you get a SIM Card Manager from Play Store, there are a few with good ratings.

[Resolved] [Q] How to add more than one Google Account? Add Google account option not in System

Hello,
I recently obtained a Huawei Honor 3C H30-U10 with International ROM. In this ROM the Google App Store comes pre-installed installed. When opening the Google App store I am asked to enter a new or exsisting Google Account. So far everything works fine. But I have two separate Google Accounts which I want to use. It is not possible to add an additional Google account through Settings > Add Account > Google Account. In this menu the option is missing.
Some references on internet say that it is due to a wrongly installed Google Apps, so I have unlocked the bootloader, added custom recovery and tried to flash gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip from Goo.im but this does not work because I get a message that Gapps is already installed and that this package is signed differently.
I tried deinstalling the original google apps. Although some form of root and SU is pre-installed, the Phone will not let me de-install original Gapps because they are system files.
Phone specs:
Huawei Honor 3C H30-U10
Android version 4.4.2
Build number EMUI2.3_H30-U10_9.7.1
Any clues?
Regards,
Zollthar

You Cannot add any account or just google account?
So you're saying there is no Google account option when you try to add an account, after setting up a primary google account?
Correctly. There is no option to add another Google account when the primary account is added.
I found a work-around by installing google+ app. In this app there is an option to add another account. When I add an alternate account in Google+, the account is added to the list at Settings>Accounts, but at that location it is still not possible to add an account at that location. Strange, isn't it?
To be fair: the primary account is also not installed by using the 'add account' option, but it is triggered when first setting up the phone.
Although resolved by means of a work around I am still wondering how this situation is possible. So if anyone has a fair view on this, I would like to hear their opinion. For now I am changing the subject to "resolved".

If you have cwm it, then it suffices to a flat gapps package.

Dear FOOX1
Thank you for your message.
Yes, I did root and I do have cwm, and I can download, one by one, all google apps, but NOT gaaps! I do not want why.
I know that in China google is severely restreicted, to the point that even the main gooogle website is inaccessible, probably the Huawei developer have installed a sort of filter?
Any more ideas?
Shall I install a new custom ROM?
Thank you
Saulo

I know nothing. It is only royalty right, not inserted. It is enough but if you reflashing the package (zip in CWM) to. What you do not need, you can delete then yes. The APKs separately to install does not work. Use the package and FLASHE it in cwm.

google now cards! make them work again on lollipop (no root)

hi
i managed to get my phone and tablet work again with google now cards
i had the feature in kk but i flashed them both to lollipop with the official rom
since then tab and phone didnt get cards on the google now screen
i was able to replicate procedure on a note3 lte and a tab s 8.4
fyi both devices aren't rooted
steps-
goto settings > application manager > select google app
then clear cache of the above mentioned app
after finishing this go and uninstall the app (here in both of my devices it just revert to the version that the phone came with...i think)
now open the google app, there it'll ask to select the account you are going to use with the default search with...i mean google now
now you'd be able to receive google now cards, and it'll prompt you to upgrade the app to the latest version...do it and there you go it'll work now :good:
please try it out if you didn't get the feature after upgrading to lollipop ...

Google Phone app ask for SIM card (Dual SIM) option changing to last selected SIM

Hi, I installed Google Phone app thanks to Google Phone Framework Magisk Module. But I have bug on stock ROM (no problem on custom ROMS). Option "ask for SIM card before call" (Dual SIM) keeps changing to last selection. How can I fix that?
App already has all permissions (can change system settings etc.)

(Fixed) esim not recognized with LineageOS 20

Hello,
I am in France on the Free network.
I have a brand new Pixel 4a. I loaded my esim with Android 13 before installing LineageOS 20.
Under android, I tested the calls and SMS without having any problem.
I installed LO20 following this procedure: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/sunfish/install
On the form, there is no mention of unsupported hardware like the esim : https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/sunfish/
Moreover, on this forum, it is indicated on the thread of disuction of LineageOS18.1 that the esim is functional. You need the Gapp to modify it, but if it is already installed you don't need it : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-sunfish-lineageos-18-1.4255751/
When I go to the "Networks and Internet" settings, "Calls and SMS" is grayed out and when I click on SIM Profiles, nothing happens.
Have you ever had this problem?
Can you please help me?
I don't have a nano sim to put in ...
Thanks in advance
I found the solution on Reddit:

:
"Just want to add this reply since I came up to this post while figuring out how to use an anonymous data plan from silent link with my phone with lineageos. You need to install the app "sim manager" from google which you can download from apkmirror for example. Might also need microg. Before you can't even open the "sim" tab in the options. Then it works."
I don't know why but this area of the settings was activated after installing the "sim manager" package. It recognized my esim free installed on android.

Did you have to install microG, or some GApps package?
Or, did "SIM Manager" get your eSIM working with plain LOS20 ?
Thanks for your info.
I have not installed any Gapps. It was Sim Manager that made the eSim work.
