Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Strange that the ROM didn't refuse to install if it wasn't compatible. As a general rule, this is something to never try (installing a ROM across devices).
Nonetheless, you should still have access to fastboot. From there, you can flash back stock (if stock is to e found), or CWM which will bring that back (at that point you could try the compatibility + gapps zips).
At any rate, please go ahead and create an account, so you can post in other forums. From there, explain your situation in the following thread:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly]
Hope this helps, and good luck!

I was about to post this question on Tamirda's thread, but I cannot as per XDA forum rules.
Hi XDA, Custom Rom newbie here!
I have a GT-N7100 running on Android 4.3 (N7100XXUEMJ9).
I followed the instructions from Tamirda's thread but cannot seem to install Phoenix Rom. I was able to root my phone using PhilzTouch_6.07.9 and SuperSU. Then i tried to install the zip of the rom using PhilzTouch, as the installation progress, the installation suddenly freezes. I have no idea why? I had tried this twice.
Another question, I read from the same forum to install the MJ5 bootloader, but when I flash it with Odin, it always freezes. I am now running on a rooted stock rom.
What am I doing wrong? I am so eager to install this ROM, help would be very much appreciated.
Thank You.

Hello mate, I am a newbie too and I flashed this rom onto my n7100 last week and works great. The problem is the version of Philz recovery is wrong, you MUST use version 5.15 to install this rom or it will freeze. I had the same problem as you but Philz ver 5.15 fixed it , install 5.15 then try flashing bootloader with Odin then install rom, good luck.from oz (THIS ROM IS AWESOME)

Hi,
Unfortunately there isn't much info about your device that i can find and i see you already asked in the best place
thats your thread in Q&A section here http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/custom-recovery-custom-rom-troubles-t2885244
if anyone knows they will reply to your thread, it may be that you need to create your own custom recovery

After root & flashing tab 2 is not not working properly (Android 5.1 Lollipop CM12.1)
I never flashed and rooted and android before so today I tried on my tab 2 gt-p3100 and results are not good. After flashing the custom rom my internet is not working properly. Specially 3g is not working and 2g is now slow also restricting me to use some websites and play store too. I never expected such results from It. Please advise me what should I do now. Can I go back to the official Samsung's status how it was when I purchased (unrooted and 4.1.1.) .
Also if 5.1 is not compatible to my device, than what should be the best custom rom for it?
I installed Android 5.1 Lollipop CM12.1 custom ROM

Hello to all.
Well, I have an old Motorola Cliq XT (mb501) (a friend gave it to me) that I want use like a backup phone. This smartphone has an old Android version (Android 1.5, official ROM) and I can't use basic apps like WhatsApp or Facebook Lite, so I tried upgrade to Android 2.3 using CM7. I downloaded it and I decide use the official CM guide. I haven't got any problem rooting and installing the custom recovery, but when I want boot to recovery mode is necessary use the camera and the power button. And here is the problem: this phone apparently have it (see this photo) but, if you disarm it, there is nothing and I can't boot the recovery. Is there a way to boot the recovery without using the camera button?
Regards and sorry for my broken english.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Removing the safety locks will be a bad idea, and sounds like it misses the point.
A couple of options for threads to post to (once you have an XDA account):
> Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 > Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q&A][SGS2][Newbies][Experienced Users][RCs] New members friendly Q&A thread
> Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 > Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] CWM Error Status 6
Could just be the format the updater script is in (was last saved by a windows program, needs the UNIX line breaks well, returned).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
