Blu win hd lte - Blu Pure XL

Instead of blowing a lot of money on the new Note 5 this year due to Samsung's regressive step, my budget has now gone on two phones and I still have change to spare.
One is a high end Android and just for fun (and the windows 10 upgrade) a low end windows phone, the BLU WIN HD LTE.
Only £99 on Amazon right now http://www.amazon.co.uk/b?node=7307521031&ref=spks_0_0_675349267&qid=1442450154&pf_rd_p=675349267&pf_rd_m=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_s=desktop-auto-sparkle&pf_rd_r=07ZBFJ1JWHV6JXAYE7S1&pf_rd_i=blu+phone
This is a dual sim phone with a SD slot, if you can do this at the cheap end of the market it's not for cost that they can't do this on all top end phones.
So here's a 'NOTE' to Samsung and every high end phone producer.
In future specs should include dual sim, SD card slot, removable battery and memory starting at 64GB as a basic minimum. Thanks!

On topic much? Lol

News Source: http://techspyre.com/doel-a-laptop-for-130-made-in-bangladesh/
Interesting, that price is about one month salary for the average worker. Compare that to here (USA) a computer is 3-4 days of an average workers salary. I great start to helping the 8th largest population to become digital
there are lots of those similar ones on deal extreme
all of those android "laptops" are more a Netbook than an actual laptop.
I hope they open it for the international market...may be at a higher price so that the government can further subsidize the local price and make it more affordable

But see it is something huge for a country like Bangladesh...
If it's any good and doesn't have any mjaor problems, i would buy one.
here's a semi decent one like the one OP mentioned
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/7-resi...c-with-wifi-tf-hdmi-white-arm-cortex-a9-67193
again only 512 RAM, froyo, ARM 9, 4GB internal, 7" screen, sd card slot, 3.5mm Audio,2 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI, Earphone, power adapter included
another one http://www.dealextreme.com/p/8-touc...d-2-2-tablet-pc-w-wifi-tf-arm-v9-800mhz-70508
8" instead
Getting one of these is something that I need to look into
i've been keeping my eyes on many of those
waiting for a dual core model to pop up
Screw it and get a decent tablet and a blue tooth keypad, I love my gtab and with all the development going on I can have anew device in a few mins .
IM looking for a cheap but rather reliable pad for a 10yo and occasionally a 4-5yo
I would buy one, thats a heck of a deal for the average user.
Resistive screens are terrible unfortunately otherwise it's pretty decent.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
I think that is a good price for something like that. but what is the HD space? and you cant do much of anything major with 512MB ram but its probably a descent piece of harware
Again I'd like to stress that there are scores of such tabs already available, but it is something big and commendable for a developing nation like Bangladesh.

[Q] [ask] smartphone and tablet pc

guys
nice to be here in xda forum.
i want to make a company focusing in making smartphone and tablet pc, but i have many thing to ask you.
the information is:
1. my background is civil engineering, i graduated in 2010, currently i attend MBA who will graduate at least 2014
my question are:
1. for example, my business area is in vietnam. i apply for design patent of my smartphone and tablet only in vietnam (specific geo market)-can ap) sue me for patend infringement in design, or any other technological owned patent owned by for example ericsson, motorolla , etc2
2. based on 1st question. if i only sell the hardware, means, im not tamper the android (this is my strategy), and even i get no profit from software. my profit is from only selling the smartphone, etc. do i need to pay the royalties related in software.for the technology is fair, but i bought the component like for example. processor, from nvidia, mainboard, ram from samsung, display, camera, and its phone utilities from sony and ericcson.
this is the specs in my head for 2013 model design
processor, nvidia tegra 3
ram 2gb
hd 16gb plus sd 64gb
lcd ips full HD 4.8" widescreen 356ppi
stainless steel casing
speaker plus micro subwoffer
2g/3g/4g speed all band frekuency
battery 1 3000mah removable
battery 2 750 mah, removable
2 slot SIM card GSM
thankyou. im waitin for your reply

Any experience with Chinese octacore phones?

I'm hunting for a six-inch phablet at an affordable price, and I came across the THL T200/T200C (I think the only difference between them is the internal storage). It's an octacore with 2 gigs of RAM running Android 4.2 on a MTK6592W chip. DX have it for $270 shipped, approximately the equivalent of 200 euro, when the cheapest branded phablet I can find that's actually worth buying is the Huawei Mate, and that costs sixty euro more and has significantly lower-specced hardware.
I'm aware of the risks of buying off-brand phones, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't try to reduce them however possible, so I'm looking for anyone with experience with the T200whatever or in general other octacore phones (which all seem off-brand so far; I can't see any branded ones on sale).
Are octacore processors actually faster? By which I mean, do the OS and apps know what to do with the additional four cores, or is it one of those features added just to increase a number?
If you have one or have used such a phone, can you share your general opinion?
Well, the thing with chinese Androids...
I'd say go for it, just root it and make a full backup as soon as you get it. The reason is because a lot of chinese phones/tablets have a nasty habit of falling into a bootloop for no reason. I've had it happen for several times. This way if you get into a bootloop you can boot into recovery, and restore your recovery. I recommend this for all Androids anyway, but especially for Chinese stuff.
I'd also recommend getting a SanDisk class 10 (or better, like UHS-1) micro SD card and following some generic android guides to swap the internal memory with your SanDisk SD card. So you can buy San Disk's 64GB UHS-1 Micro SD card for 60 bucks from BestBuy (Or even better, their 128GB UHS-1 Micro sd card from Amazon for 119 dollars, and yeah that's SanDisk selling it not a third-party.) This way you have ridiculous internal storage for a ridiculous price (in a different sense of the word "ridiculous").
I don't have any experience with octacore phones/tablets, but as far as I understand the architecture is like this.
2.4ghz dual core = 2.4ghz x 2
so I imagine it would be the same with eight cores.
2.4ghz octacore = 2.4ghz x 8
whether or not Android knows what to do with all that power is beyond me.
Please us the stickies at the top of the forum for this type of discussion

Buying advice need a new phone

I don't really don't want to spend more than $400, ($600 if it can really deliver).
I need:
Headphone Jack
Micro SD slot (or it will have to have 512gb or 1Tb models available [probably more than $600])
6-8gb RAM
OLED
Decent battery
Android 9
A decent radio would nice, maybe a must, something with good reception, but, from what i can tell mid rang phones skimp on radio quality.
My OnePlusX has all of this minus the 6gb of RAM but, ever since updating to android 9 it's been acting like hardware failure or like there is moisture the main board, GPS not updating/working, No notifications when i get texts etc etc (all worked at first after initial upgrade) One plus sells nothing over 256gb.
You should try the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Somethings it has going for it:
6gb Ram
Snapdragon 855
Android 9
super AMOLED screen
3300 mAh battery.
seems to check all of your requirements. I think B&H photo has it at $419. It's even dual sim. I currently have around 4-5 android phones because of work reasons. Xiaomi phones have always been my goto because of the build quality and it not slowing down after long term use.

Has smartphone tech gone flat?

I feel like there's no more major development in smartphones besides maybe higher screen resolutions, higher camera MP, fancy new fingerprint sensors and gimmicky things like folding phones. Have we simply run out of ideas? Has the portable handheld internet computer reached perfection?
Android has the MS syndrome, faster cpu's and memory are being hamstrung by the needless extra cpu cycles of a bloated OS.
Android Q and 11 are a mess.
Manufacturers are releasing high dollar phones with no micro SD card slots. Personally I'd like dual micro SD card support; 2 tb of storage be nice, 3 or above optimum.
Samsung seems obvious to the global recession sinking big bucks into their Fold folly, meanwhile neglecting their historically profitable lines.
End result for me is I have zero intentions of buying a new flagship phone from the current lineup even after 2 release cycles
3's a charm... don't bet on it this time.
Will Android 12 be the next W10 or even worse?
For the foreseeable future I'm in a holding pattern with the Note 10+/Pie because of slim pickens. Meh, whatever.

We're definitely not ready for Android 12. There just isn't enough to justify a new major release - Android 11.1 is a much better idea.
