[Q] Is the international HTC One S version compatible with any carrier's 3g speeds?

I have both the T-Mobile and the international unlocked version. I have the latter because, in my excitement, I didn't take care to find out if it will work on T-Mobile's 3G speeds. To my dismay, it doesn't, and I have an extra phone.
I'm wondering if it will work on any other carrier's 3G/4G data speeds. Searching forums and support threads haven't gotten me any answers. Any help at all would be appreciated.
I bought mine in Britain and am using it quite happily here in Japan. T-Mobile USA has a relatively rare frequency band internationally; I think as long as you have 2100MHz and 900MHz bands, which this phone has, there should be an operator in almost every country that the phone will work on. In fact, it should work on most operators in most countries.
The phone has 850/900/2100 MHz bands for 3G; T-Mobile runs "4G" (actually 3G) on 1700/2100 aka AWS - this requires BOTH bands to be present in the phone, which is why the One S doesn't work. T-Mo USA also has 1900MHz, again not present in the One S. Can you get EDGE 2G data, which should be possible on 850MHz?
In the USA, it should work on AT&T, as they use 850MHz for 3G. Maybe you can find someone who will lend you a SIM to check it.
In Europe & Asia, it should generally work no problem.

[Q] need technical help about smasung gs3

hey,
i am from India. My friend is going to gift me samsung galaxy s3 (unfortuantely and probably its t-mobile) from United States. i've no idea whether they are CDMA or GSM carrier. if its CDMA so my questions are :

And if it is GSM one, can i access 3g networks in India.?

[Q] 3g signal issue

Hi. I'm from Sri Lanka and I bought a HTC 8x from Canada. It's had Rogers network.. It is unlocked. But there's no 3g in sim settings. How do I get 3g option on my phone? I'm using 2g. Help me please..
3G is a different technique than LTE.
LTE supported phones have a different modem. So 3G is not supported on you're phone model.

I am fairly certain it physically does not have the other bands, T-Mobile as far as I know does not disable other bands especially since they have global roaming plans.

I am trying to do this
The bands on the phone should not be locked. Please look up the LTE bands on the phone and see if your carrier supports them:

I am pretty sure it's an exercise in futility as T-Mobile does not block bands, the phone either physically has them or doesn't.
Better return/sell it and get the international version.

Will any unlocked (rootable) Note 10s work on Verizon? (Calls and data)

First of all... I'm not asking if I can unlock and root the Verizon version... I'm asking if any of the unlocked versions of the phone will work on Verizon. Without affecting the cellular service at all.
The SM-N975F has an Exynos processor and supports 3G TD-SCDMA: B34(2010), B39(1880), which are also supported by the Verizon version. However, the Verizon version supports 2G bands that the Exynos version does not.
Do I still need to worry about the 2G bands (CDMA: CDMA800, USPCS1900) that are exclusive to the Snapdragon versions? Maybe that depends on my geographic location. Does anyone know if there's a map to see if there is full 3G coverage where I live/work/play... such that I can make phone calls on all the 3G or 4G bands that the exynos version(s) support?
Thanks
