I updated my XJ and i see that multitasking is much better than before! The system is much smooth

wait untill the cache partition builds up

I have to say also that this update is so far much better.
Antutu is able to perform complete benchmarking (3D crashed and the result was 3000 and something), and the result is 4464. Much better than before. Also 2 or 3 more widgets, and I have nothing to complain so far... Only that there isn't yet a rooting method without unlocking bootloader.

In the meanwhile, can someone explain to me why with my X10 mini pro I had a smal ftf file (Kernel) and a large rom file, and the ftf for these phones is 400 MB?? I suspect this is not JUST the kernel... I think I saw small FTF files for this phone, and also these large files. Guess the large are for unlocked bootloaders, flash all at once...?

Those small .ftf is custom made. The big ones, especially from update service blob_fs folder, contains all the stuff to flash. A clean, untouched, unrooted .ftf can be bigger than 400mb. Too bad, samsung users cant make their own odin files. Your x10mini rom might come with instructions like this: flash this .ftf via flash. Throw the .zip in microsd. Boot to cwm and flash the .zip. Thats why the .ftf is so small.

I'm not breaking any laws here, am I...? I think these FTF files don't "suffer" from copyright issues...

I got the update too.
I just installed it and I'm waiting for it to finish!
Sadly it wasn't OTA which means I still can't root ICS and update OTA to this one .
Edit// Feels the same to me...I didn't have any problems with the lag before so it seems to move the same.

I would really like that someone found a rooting exploit for this fw. Missing my titanium explorer to remove All the crappy apps that come with the phone.

See if you have 2 or 3 more widgets with favorite contacts, and I think 3D is much better. Benchmark with antutu to verify that. I had 3000 and something befor, due to 3D. Now I have 4464.
What I really think is a flaw is the bottom led not lighting up with notifications, only if I put the screen on. I already have the app to solve that issue, but it should be embedd in the phone...

Sorry, bro. You cannot unlock for free. Pay for your unlock code like everybody else (it's cheap) or invest in the unlocking equipment (expensive). The choice is yours.

The extraction password works perfectly. Read the post. The password is also written there (there are no spaces in the password) so you can even copy and paste it if you prefer. I extracted this last weekend. It worked just fine.

The stock ROMs for Alcatel are typically only available from other users who are kind enough to upload it and post a link. Otherwise, you can always go to the Alcatel website and download the Mobile Upgrade S software. Using this software, you can restore the stock ROM to your phone in case you brick it.
If your phone is not bricked, you can easily backup your stock ROM from your phone using SP Flash Tool.

My bad. I'm using v5.1452.00. Problem now fixed. But now the imei and cid still the same as the taiwanese firmware. And I can't unlock bootloader (invalid cid).
I tried to flash twrp using flashtool even the bootloader is locked. But I can't reboot to recovery and software status changed to modified. (that is expected). Surprisingly, I can reboot to recovery after flashing the stock one.

Yeah same story,i try to get code from htcdev.com for unlocking bootloader but I failed..

i've unlocked my bootloader and i was trying to flash a custom cwm recovery
following this rooting method
but after unlocking the bootloader i can't flash the recovery due to 'size is too large' error
[btw]-> the phone returns back to the fastboot screen after unlocking ..
so i tried to reboot it manually and return to fastboot menu but the same problem goes on ..

It requires having a JTAG device to do it. I meant send it to a repair shop that has the equipment for a JTAG service.

That has nothing to do with the issue that this thread is about. Recovery is not flashed onto the microSD card, it's flashed on internal memory, so a larger SD card won't help.
You need to learn some more before giving advice.

How did u unlock the bootloader?Official Method?
Cuz mine says "failed to unlock,phone unlocked" in command window even though it is not unlocked

after sign in again click my link again( or go to download section) .. this will appear see the attachemnt , you have to use translator to Chinese to english

But I can't log in some how it thinks I'm in 2 different regions I must of registered before under a different region at the time and not noticed now it's conflicting with my phone region I will have to re register and try link again

Managed log in now but when click on downloads the device isn't in the list to select then gives you option in corner to unlock bootloader

Yeah click that unlock booter,the device will not be mentioned there
OR
simply go to this page https://emui.huawei.com/cn/plugin/unlock/index

I think from previous experience the unlock bootloader tab doesn't show on mob Web browsers I'm sure so will have to try when home on desktop

Now just need some good roms hopefully lineage os will be ported from honor 8 some paranoid Android would be nice and a pure nexus rom would go down nicely
