[Completed] Touch and charging problems - XDA Assist

Hello i own a Lenovo K3 Note and installed AOSP 5.0 .1 with TWRP about a month ago. everything was perfect until now.. sometimes my touch is not right (sometimes disables a few parts of the screen and i gotta press a lot to actually get a response on that part until it does it again) and i can only charge my phone on a certain position (its not the port which is messed up because when i shut down the phone it will charge on any position). another problem with the charging is that lately it started charging really really slow. it charges about 5~10% an hour.. i have no idea what may cause it and i need your help guys to fix this. i dont know if its the ROM cuz a month ago it was working perfectly.

Need you help on it.. I m on Stock rom 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 overlay non rooted.. and help or i need to go to gallery to resolve the issue
Hi Zeus,
Firstly - Never, ever pull the battery!!!
There - over and done with. Pulling the battery runs a high risk of causing permanent damage to the eMMC chip. You should (I have never locked up my phone so badly that this doesn't work) hold down the Power, Vol+ and Vol- buttons until the phone shuts down on its own.
You say your phone is no-rooted? I guess that means that you have not run any kind of mod on it, obtained S-OFF or anything else and the phone is, basically, as you bought it? If so then I would recommend that you simply go via HTC or your service provider to obtain a replacement.
If you have not felt the need before now to unock/root your phone then now is not really the ideal time to start doing so if you have a warranty still.

If you are in Mumbai (as on ur profile) , You can visit the HTC Support Centre @ Borivali (Thakkar Mall, near Borivali Station) - http://www.htc.com/in/help/service-center/
Please Note : They will most probably repair the phone (I don't think they replace the phones here in India after the initial 15 days period in which u can claim the Dead on Arrival policy).
Thanks for all the Suggestions,
Have read all the issues regarding emmc chip being fried on Desire S, but being out of town for some day, didnt had any choice but to try, however i let the battery drain completely yest.. recharged the phone to full and then booted again.. and its working fine as of now (didnt worked earlier).. without any issues from last 5 hrs.. lets see how it holds, havent yet installed any of apps yet.. guess will wait for another day or two to see the software fails again to hold.
went borivali, but its not yet started (confirmed with customer care of HTC) still being completed..
but yes.. will visit the Dadar branch if any issue arrises afterwards
Glad to hear its working fine as of now.
Btw , regarding the Borivali Service Centre . . I have been there last month & it is well up & running !
Been there on Friday evening at around 6 but it was closed....then I inquired on customer care which told me its non functional as of now... Will check tomm....
The phones working f9 now...no issues in past 2 days...hope it holds

Guys, I have seen this kind of problem with one of my colleagues phone (Not Desire S but Wildfire S). The reason was (assumed) pretty weird though, it was because of some electrical problem. Whenever he would charge his phone at home - it would start having this kind of problem, but when he charged it at office or through his PC - the problem would vanish!
Although I am not sure if yours is the same case.... but then could be..
Another thing: I got my phone's mobo replace free of cost from HTC (Salora) when it was under warranty even though it was S-Off, Rooted - so I think HTC is a bit lenient in India
The issue it seems has vanished, no issues as of now..no hangups or freezes and yes....both the time the issue arised when the phone was in charging.

[Completed] gt-s7582 having a rare issue with phone

I really don't know if this is a right place or not but i want to mention it here, this started when i accidentally leave my phone at heavy rain. It stopped working for 2-3 days and when it started i found total loss over touch, i replaced it and then it was working fine except... its proximity and other sensors are not working and it take almost 5 min to turn on, i though it may be hardware issue, but than after some days it reboots normally and everything was working again except proximity, it remains this good for a while even doesn't get affected by reboots but then again everything was gone, after that day it happens for few times, i didn't recognise what made it go smoothly and than what made it worst again, help me with thar pls.... I also see color stripes for a while clicking on cancel in download mod....i'd installed stock rom more than 2 times and now on CM14.1 help me.....

Greetings and welcome to assist. If returning to stock doesn't work then it must be a hardware issue I'm afraid and there is little we can do to help with that. Really hope you manage to fix it
Good luck

Thank you very much for your help, now at least i know what I'm dealing with....... I'm expecting that my service provider will help me with this, thanks again

I would check this out, if i was you.!
Reason,
one of my old Samsung phones, infact
a Note 8.0 Tablet, started with this
is same issue...." overheating" noticed
I ignored it for a few months.
as tablet seemed to be working fine.
Eventually, i then, started get to a point
when i get the "message" my tablet
would stop charging.
I had to wait for a while and try charging again.
After, many months (maybe +- 7..8..9 months)
My tablet did not want to charge. anymore.!
I eventually took tablet to a
Samsung Care Centre
It was the USB port/ charging port ... (ok we now have a C port)
Replaced port and all was fine again.
I would say don't ignore this "overheating" message.
Good luck

Thanks.
I'm not ignoring it as that's why I posted.
I don't want the phone if it continues this. So I don't know what to do if it happens again and it's still not hot.

I would take it back to a Samsung service center or call them.
I would also take screenshots of overheating message and if it follows any pattern.?
Use screenshots as you "proof" of the overheating issue.
Otherwise Samsung would just check device and say device is ok.
(You have to be fast as i know the overheating notice
only appears briefly for 3..4 seconds..?)
I personally believe that this "overheating" is a start of hardware issues... not a software issue.
You have factory resetted your phone, so if it
appears again at later stage... hardware issue!
I also factory resetted my old tablet and all was ok for a while... then overheating notices started to appear again.
Good luck
post note
Forgot, yes in beginning my tablet appeared / also did not feel hot. Reason why i ignored it.
Also thought /hoped it was a software issue.

Phone shutting down

Red_shift said:
Hi everyone, my Note 2 shuts down when the temperature is moderately low (under 15 °C / 60 °F)
I thought it were a battery problem, since I still used the 2013 one with which the phone was originally shipped.
But buying a new one didn't solve the problem.
I tried swapping batteries with my girlfriend (who has the same model of phone, without the shut-down problem) but this didn't work too (regardless which battery I use, my phone shuts down, hers not) -- unfortunately I thought of swapping the batteries only after buying the new one...
So I thought it could be some sw problem and flashed a new ROM (crDroid 7.1.2)
I'm very pleased since this is much better than the stock ROM I had before, but the shut-down-in-low-temp problem still rears its ugly head (maybe a bit mitigated).
E.g. today I went skiing and carried the phone in the breast pocket of my jacket. Outside temp was about 2-5 °C, so it wasn't really cold, but the phone shut down.
When I tried to power it on, it wouldn't until I carried it home and put it on recharge.
After a few minutes of recharge, I could power it on and the battery was at 98%...
Any ideas of what the problem could be? Something hw?
If nothing else works, I theoretically could take off the display and digitizer of my phone and connect it to a third Note 2 (which display was broken by my girlfriend some time ago, otherwise it works fine), but I hope there is some simpler solution because I've never done something like that...
Thank you for your help!

No, therefore I was asking.
Did you move my question here?
I posted it in the Note 2 forum, wouldn't it be more IT there?
Thank you!

Weird Charging issue with my OP7 Pro.

Hey guys, there's something weird stuff going with my phone which I'm wondering if it's something serious issue or not. It happens rarely like for so rare not always. Sometimes when I put my phone in charge, the charging start fluctuating for like 3 or 4 times (like charging, not charging and vice versa) and then it automatically continues charging properly after till 100% without any issue after. As i said it doesn't happens everytime, I've noticed it just thrice in this month.
Please help me knowing if it's a serious problem, So that if it's a software problem and someone else noticed it then please let me know, and if you guys think its a hardware or charger issue, tell me. So, that I can return my phone back to Amazon. (
Temme if anyone having the same issue with his OP7 Pro.

I haven't noticed this with my 7 Pro at all! I'm gonna guess it's your charger and not your phone, but I can't be 100% sure on that.
That's what I'm confused about, I think it might be a software issue, because as I said it's j'st for like 3 or 4 times then it charge it completely till 100 without any interruption, so I don't think if charger is the culprit here.
