I've been trying to find the proper Google Play Services update for the Note 5 in order to get android Pay Working but I've had zero luck finding it on APK Mirror. I believe the update we need is .240 but I could be wrong. Anyone have any luck with this yet?

I appreciate the link and the PM but I do already know this. I believe the Tech Times article is wrong with the last three numbers of Play Services being the same. Either way, whether I'm looking for .240 or .440, neither of them are available on APK Mirror. Has anyone found a version of Play Services for the Note 5 that makes Android Pay work?

I just downloaded this one (8.1.14 (2244331-240))
This keeps showing up. I guess it won't work while being rooted.

Use .248 working on mine
I got the official update from the Play Store. My debit card is in there and I assume works. I haven't had a chance to use it yet in a store.
I've been using the Samsung Pay and it works really well and is super easy to use.

For the ones that got it working, are you rooted?
I'm rooted, installed 240, doesn't work. Gives that error when i try to add a card
I wasn't able to get it working on thrashrom 3.4 so I switched to stock rooted which worked. So then I switched to stock deodexed which worked and now I'm on Dr Ketan L2 working perfectly. So maybe try a different rom.

I'm on Dr Ketan and no luck. Any tips?
Honestly since then I tried tekhd rom and it didn't work, so I switched back to Dr ketan and it didn't work lol. Now mind you I tried every trick in the book on both from root cloak to nodevicecheck to unrooting and nada. I all but refused to go back to stock and start from scratch so I gave up.
Basically I had it working for all of 18 hours or so lol.

worked fine for me by just disabling root in Superuser. I ended up deleting Android Pay because I don't want to be forced to use a 'secure' lock screen... Why couldn't it just require a PIN like the old Wallet app?

Yeah I was reading through another forum I found on Google about the issue. It was a general get android pay working type thread with people with all sorts of different phones, but the common theme seems to be stock roms and stock rooted roms work but no custom roms. Of course there was the random fluke like when I had it working but I can't even seem to duplicate the magic I had that day.

Wondering, is this flashable via Odin and would it then be okay to flash back if needed via Odin also?
Just wanted to clarify that because it's technically stock firmware if it increased the flash counter or not

It's a CWM/TWRP flashable package. Don't worry too much about the counter crap. The only time you should ever bother about that is if you have to send your device in.

To clearify mine isn't a rom, its an installable deodex package that deodexes your current rom! So its more a mod.
Are they completely stable with everything working? This will be my first Sammy root/flash. Been holding out for the Google experience is it worth flashing now or waiting a bit for bugs to get ironed out

One thing I didn't like about JanJan version is that there are a number of things we need to flash to make it work.
It doesn't come rooted either.

Oh yessss
But I don't think I'll be flashing of these.
I like the features of TouchWiz, and everything looks great thanks to master Vertumus
I've flashed two separate ROMs so far, and both are completely smooth except for one problem: I can't get mobile data to work.
Wifi works great, and when I'm connected through wifi the signal bars in the status bar turn blue. But as soon as I deactivate wifi, the signals turn grey and all Internet capabilities are lost. So, naturally, as soon as I'm outside of wifi range I can't use the Internet.
I'm still able to send messages and make phone calls.
Could this be a problem with the kTweaker kernel? I'm with Telstra in Australia.
Thanks

So can we be almost certain that the T210R will also be getting 4.4.2? God I hope so.. the lack of Devs and lack of power makes this tablet horrible. I just had to reload another ROM on it for the daughter this weekend.
OMG that is cool... but i am not so sure if the T210 model will get it, it is just ridiculous that the tab 3 is running 4.1.2 and the Tab 2 is running 4.2.2 that is ridiculous Samsung

Anyways the update is nice and this tab seems to be a little smoother now. Probably can't root or flash a recovery now that I took the update but that's okay I guess if not. I really only watch videos on it anyways. Anyone know of any solid links I could use to possibly root and install recover if I desire in the future?

And for those who PM'd or emailed me about testing that i didn't get back to, I'm sorry as we already had a good amount of testers at the time. But thank you for being interested in helping out!!!

Xposed Thread is here, save it and be ready
[UPDATE] After a couple tests, seem to be going good on an odexed rom. But would like a bit more help from any rom devs with a Note 5 lurking around here.
So if any of you masterminds are around and are interested in lending a hand, please message me on hangouts and I will get you all connected, it would greatly be appreciated. As @tdunham can only go so far with this since he nor I actually have the Note 5 to steadily work off of.
Thank You
I am talking with the great tdunham in getting together a deodexed rom so we can all get the extra goodies like xposed, (which has been updated to support Note 5), and what not working.
First off we need to get a running odexed rom running, so if you would like to help out in testing, please message me on hangouts.
Thank you for your time

Perfect! The partition table has changed quite a bit even from the Note 4 so creating and flashing custom roms is going to require additional modifications.
I currently have a flashable deodexed build but it is still in beta testing.
Regards - TD
I figured since I may end up with a Note 5 soon I might as well help out. It's getting close ladies & gents! Seems that @tdunham has added the correct mount point to the script and it's flashing correctly now. I will change the mount points in my script today and test if the way I imbedded root in my first test rom will work properly on the note 5. Hopefully this will help save time and I can test this while your at work.
Edit: I need someone to upload updated google apps so we can add them to the rom. So if you haven't already, update ALL of your factory installed apps and upload them for us so we can fix FC issues. The current method of deodexing is causing some FC issues with a couple of apps. You will need to have root and use root explorer or equivalent and copy the /data/apps folder and it's contents to your internal storage then to your PC. Then zip that folder and it's contents and upload. You can either PM me the link or post it here so @tdunham can grab the files also. This is very important for the continuation of this new deodexed rom base. Thank you!

Thank you sir! Downloading it now. As long as you had already updated all of your stock apps in the play store then that's all I needed. Thanks again.
Since someone i trusted took a zip i made(dont know who) and uploaded it to the public figure i might as well post the original zip.
credits for the leak cant be given due to nda's, jobs, etc. just be grateful
apks need to be installed to system for google now page to work as well as wallpaper picker best bet is to just flash the zip as it is. or place the apks in the correct locations with correct permissions

So without root this can't work properly I take it?
Force closes for me, tried installing both as a normal APK and pushing to /system/priv-apps/NexusLauncherPrebuilt and setting permissions. (Galaxy S4 TouchWiz 5.0.1 Rooted, Xposed)
Any suggestions?

You just need a way to flash it or push it to /system/priv-app/NexusLauncherPrebuilt. You don't need to be rooted to actually use it.

The path should be /system/priv-app/NexusLauncherPrebuilt (don't know if that was just a typo here) but so far it has only been tested on Marshmallow and Nougat, it may just be incompatible with Lollipop. You may try flashing it if you have the ability to do so.

I checked the path, it is correct. I also tried flashing it with the same results. I know that the apk is lollipop-compatible as it does not throw a package parse error at install. Something else must be causing it to crash...
I was on the Google app beta stream, so I even tried opting out of that and installing the release version, that did not work either... so it's not an issue with the Google app.
Just installed on my LG G2 d800 and it running great! Looks amazing, sick wallpapers and pretty smooth. Awesome work!

What version of Android are you running? And is it AOSP based or stock based?

I thought so... it seems like the launcher will install on Lollipop but force closes.
@BeansTown106 do you know if this is an older version of the APK or if it is close to release or even the release version? Something tells me they haven't ported things back to Lollipop yet...
Anybody know why I'm getting this frosted dock? I don't want it..

Interesting, I only get the frosting after I begin to pull up the app drawer.
Also force closes for me running DP5, Nexus 6p. I'm not having much luck on G+ getting answers to wether or not other preview users are having the same issue after flashing the zip.

Strange. I've tried a few times now, always with the same result. Flashes and installs fine but as soon as I try to access the home page I get constant force closes. I'll have to give up and troubleshoot in the morning.
