[UPDATE] DEODEXED FINALLY DONE Thanks to great @tdunham!!! Please Head Here to get started....and dont forget XPOSED too
[UPDATE] Looks like things are wrapping up on the testing, so Deodexed Stock Rom is going to be posted here VERY soon. @tdunham has done amazing work again and he doesn't even have the phone
A BIG Thank You to everybody who has gotten to back to me and tested for us. Definitely couldn't have gotten so far without you guys volunteering your time and phones!!!
And for those who PM'd or emailed me about testing that i didn't get back to, I'm sorry as we already had a good amount of testers at the time. But thank you for being interested in helping out!!!
[UPDATE] Deodexed tests going good, native hotspot also included. Hope to have a good running one here for you guys soon!!! Also Xposed is working on this deodexed version :good:
Xposed Thread is here, save it and be ready
[UPDATE] After a couple tests, seem to be going good on an odexed rom. But would like a bit more help from any rom devs with a Note 5 lurking around here.
So if any of you masterminds are around and are interested in lending a hand, please message me on hangouts and I will get you all connected, it would greatly be appreciated. As @tdunham can only go so far with this since he nor I actually have the Note 5 to steadily work off of.
Thank You
I am talking with the great tdunham in getting together a deodexed rom so we can all get the extra goodies like xposed, (which has been updated to support Note 5), and what not working.
First off we need to get a running odexed rom running, so if you would like to help out in testing, please message me on hangouts.
Thank you for your time

Archikitchen for the stock odexed build.
I need someone with root and a root browser on the Note 5 to provide the following or I cannot continue support for rom development: navigate to dev/block/platform in the root and either take a screenshot or tell me the foldername(s) that are in there please.

Perfect! The partition table has changed quite a bit even from the Note 4 so creating and flashing custom roms is going to require additional modifications.
I currently have a flashable deodexed build but it is still in beta testing.
Regards - TD
I figured since I may end up with a Note 5 soon I might as well help out. It's getting close ladies & gents! Seems that @tdunham has added the correct mount point to the script and it's flashing correctly now. I will change the mount points in my script today and test if the way I imbedded root in my first test rom will work properly on the note 5. Hopefully this will help save time and I can test this while your at work.
Edit: I need someone to upload updated google apps so we can add them to the rom. So if you haven't already, update ALL of your factory installed apps and upload them for us so we can fix FC issues. The current method of deodexing is causing some FC issues with a couple of apps. You will need to have root and use root explorer or equivalent and copy the /data/apps folder and it's contents to your internal storage then to your PC. Then zip that folder and it's contents and upload. You can either PM me the link or post it here so @tdunham can grab the files also. This is very important for the continuation of this new deodexed rom base. Thank you!

I havent really had any time to play with it... I built it, tested it booted, tested root, then started uploading and working on some other projects. I am trying to get a better solution to Windows WHS 2011 because it looks like the 2012 counterpart is going to be too expensive.

Thank you. This is WAY SNAPPIER than the VRALG7. At least I think so. After signing into my Google Account, I went straight to the Market and downloaded a few apps (within seconds) with absolutely NO LAG at all. My new favorite!!

EDIT: I just now tested and flashed all the DEODEX MODS from ScottsROMs and they are all working cherry.
-
This is running REAL SMOOTH too. No problems/bugs at all on my end.

Thanks Brother and Thank You Invisiblek.

I was reading up on that too. I am hearing a lot about how Windows 8 can be just as good. And that there are going to be a few annoying things in Essentials 2012 that should be disabled anyways. For $40 Special Promo vs. $450 for a few bells and whistles {plus I am sure that after a few weeks there will be ALL kinds of MODS/TWEAKS/HACKS(not of the pirate kind)}, it might be better just to see whats up...

Is there a way to do something like a super wipe of my phone? I want every nook and cranny cleaned up. I want all files erased completely.
Plus, what's better, De-odex or odex?

I've used some of the "super wipe" scripts on my phone and had some goofy things happen. I would suggest just using your recovery and reformatting the internal before flashing.
Odex is supposedly quicker... but may come with some odd behaviors down the road. You can always try odex'ing later with an app called 'ODEX ME'. ref: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514576

Had an issue with one of the other 4.3 ROMs. Had to patch SU and do some cleanup to fix. Wiped it twice to use that ROM. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience with any of your ROMs so I doubt I'll find anything. Especially if it's stock.
You are all over the place man. Seems every device I get you are already developing for or pop up out of freakin nowhere. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.

This is a BETA test!
A lot of people volunteered to test the ROM so I figured I would just make it a public beta so every can help if they choose!
I feel strongly that the ROM is solid as I tested it on my AT&T variant but there are things I simply cannot test (for obvious reasons)!
Please make sure you are on the LATEST version of TWRP and you are familiar with going back to stock before you download!
Make a TWRP back up of your current configuration before flashing!
You may report bugs / issues or request help in this thread or on my website HERE!
Do a "Factory Reset" in TWRP before installing! This is imperative for testing purposes!
Once again... This is beta. I am putting up on the internet in hopes that people will download and help find any bugs, if they exist. Although I doubt this will ruin your phone there may be little unseen issues.
Please leave all feedback in a CLEAR CONCISE manner.
Thank you for testing.

Thanks. I'm always cautious about Roms made by people who don't own the physical device

I will prolly work on one this weekend so if you want to play with this make your nandroid and give this a flash.
Hey bro,
Good work getting yours fully functional. How did you go about yours? I used dsi-xda kitchen, I know it's old so that could be why I had issues. Just want to find out where I went wrong haha, I'm all for learning
Thanks for the upload!

No, I actually only use DSI-XDA kitchen myself.
I did what I always do, grab the stock image from Google, break it down, add my own root and busybox (not the ones in the kitchen, they are older).
Then I use my updater-script that I hand built from prior releases along with matching binaries.
Pretty much that is it. I am going to look at yours in a minute and I will PM you what I find.
EDIT: Sorry, I didint mean to cut you off on your thread either.
Downloading now, thank you ?

Thanks @scrosler. Going to wait for your Clean Rom.
I just tried to flash it (deodex) in TWRP, and it failed. It says:
symlink: some symlinks failed.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip
EDIT: I redownloaded the file, and it worked on the 2nd try. Must have been a bad download.

Don't worry man haha, yours works better let's be honest so we might as well get people using it.
Interesting I did pretty much the exact same, added the updated superuser since there is a really old one in the kitchen like you said. I think my updater script was okay. I guess I had some weird binaries or something, I just grabbed them from a 4.4.2 rom, not entirely sure what there purpose is. Or how to view/edit them.
I'll probably have another blast at it tomorrow just for the fun of it, I want to try get it working so I know for the future
EDIT: though I had issue with root not working out the box, maybe I missed replacing something. What files did you replace?
If you want to look at mine it's here: http://d-h.st/rMs
Sorry for being curious

This is an error with TWRP. Just reboot into bootloader then back into recovery and you will be fine.
New boot loader included?
