Root your phone. Install greenify and disable service..My phone could last for 24hrs with 18hrs medium usage and 6hrs sleep with zero draining battery.

Android OS excessive battery draining

Today I had Excessive battery draining by Android OS. Maybe somebody know what causes it? Seems that reboot solved this issue temporary. Thanks.

I have the same problem too! Does anyone know how to stop this drain?

Install multiboot manager.. Run a secondary ROM totally without Gapps..
Added: Multiboot manager is not supported for Nexus 5 yet.. Maybe greenifying some system apps will help..
You got app running in the background sucking the juice.

Do you have Skype installed? That has been causing lots of battery issues lately.
Google know about the issue and are working to fix it.
Are you running a custom ROM? Try wiping the cache partition.
No I am not running Skype custom ROM either

First week I used Moto G with one sim and battery lasted for 16-20 hours. I was expecting more.
Surprisingly, after I put the 2nd sim I am getting 24-30 hours. It looks unlikely its due to having 2 sims, maybe the battery required some charging, discharging cycles before giving its intended capacity.
Hey can you post ur battery screen shots with dual Sim

i am getting some decent battery life after some adjustments
disabled google now
location set to low accuracy
switch off wifi and data both during night
disable both options in motorola privacy
and disabling motorola device id
getting one day with 50 % remaining with moderate use of screen on time of nearly 4 hrs with single sim
hope it helps
I am getting 3/4 days battery life with 3h+~ on screen time. Stock rom, not rooted for now.

EDIT: upgrade on battery life 2days 21hours on battery, 3h on screen time. 18% battery left. This is after third battery charge. I am more than happy with the result. With custom ROM, some kernel improvements, Greenify it should last 4 days with 4h on screen time without a doubt.
art va dalvik battery life
guys please post art vs dalvik battery life when i use art i nearly get best battery life but not on dalvik.....

That ain't hard to achieve actually, mine right now is on 2d 15h, 5h on SoT. The best I could get was almost 10h screentime on a single day hard usage.

[Q] Xposed framework battery drainage

Hi i have a nexus 5 rooted on the stock rom and when i install the xposed frame work i have significant idle drain even when i have no moduels enabled. if any one knows what could be causing this please let me know thanks.
What do the battery stats show?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
its the same as when i dont have it enabled. only with alot more battery drain not really much out of the ordianary in the battery stats
Well I would remove the framework and see if it goes back to normal. It might be a coincidence, you could have a bad signal or something. The framework doesn't change my battery life at all
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I dont know really its kinda weird because when i uninstall it,it goes back to normal and as soon as i enable it the intense battery drain starts again

How many times have you tried it? I would download GSam or BBS. These are battery stat apps that can help detect where the drain is coming from.
ive tried it a few times now with same result
Gsam and screen shots. Will be much easier to help you.
What Xposed modules do you use?
I can't see how framework would drain battery on it's own.

I had the same issue, all i wanted was customizable quick panel, battery icon and reboot menu. So I found Cataclysm Rom and have been using that ever since with no issues

Battery drain help

Hi all,
I'm fairly new to android and I'm trying to work out where my drain is coming from. Since getting my One, I've had battery drain issues since changing from 25R to 30O and 33R. Thinking it was C11s, I've now moved to CRDroid with AK kernel (clean flash).
I've checked for wake locks and all seems OK and I'm at a loss. I've also checked for the phone not going into deep sleep and that seems OK too. I've added some screen shots below of some representative data and hope I can get some help here.

Have you clicked on the battery graph to see if your GPS is stuck on? Somtimes my GPS stays on even after I turn it off and continues to drain battery until I restart the phone.
GPS is definitely off when I'm not using it, thanks.
You've got Bluetooth on? Your signal seems low to that can cause the battery to drain as well. Do you location turned on?
Sent from the One
I do have everything turned on, Bluetooth because of my pebble and location is on too. However this was how I had my phone on 25R and the battery life was infinitely better.

I'm using 25r after having terrible battery life on 33 and its still not great. Lost 10% overnight
Sent from my One using XDA Free mobile app
AK kernel has all the battery commits in might be worth trying the new beta instead with further commits. Bluetooth and location will drain battery but I don't make use of either that much to notice what effect it has on battery.

Any wakelocks? Install betterbatterystats to monitor then we can figure out what's causing the drops.

What CrDroid Version exactly?
Im running the latest DroidKang (based on CrDroid) and it is less battery friendly then the CrDroid v5.6... (both tryd with latest Ak beta).
CRDroid 5.6

Yup having battery drain too but after i hit 50 percent, it started going down slower. Manages 123 hours run time with 5 hours screen on time. Not the best but not bad. Charging now for Round two tomorrow. If I don't like it, going to 25r
