Android Pay APK - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

For those of you who don't like waiting like myself for roll outs to happen, here is a link to the android pay apk. Once installed you will need to update Google Play services, I just googled the latest update which was yesterday I believe. I have already went to Walgreens and tested it and it works just fine.

The fix is to flash supersu, unroot from the supersu app, setup android pay and your payment methods, then flash supersu again. No rebooting required. Make sure you have the latest Google play services. I have the supersu and play services if you need them

Hey so I've tried this at different terminals and with different cards and its not recognizing any of my cards. Are you rooted, and if so what steps did you use?
Edit: I found an article stating that you have to use root cloak on Google Services

I am 100% stock after the latest update, I was rooted previously though. I have done nothing extra, just installed the apk's as you normally would. I used android pay 5 times yesterday with no issues.

Ok cool, I'm rooted so that's my issue but I read an article that reports that previous root doesn't matter and you can still use it rooted but must add Google Services to root cloak. I'm gonna try it again in a little bit. Thanks for sharing this

Android Pay setup FC
Has anyone experienced a Force Close from Google Play Services when trying to add a card to Android Pay? I have installed 8.1.15 of Google Play Services, as well as the latest APK for Android Pay. All seems to go well until I try to + (add a card). It thinks for a little while, and then force closes with an error indicating that Google Play Services was the problem. The devices was rooted, but I've unrooted it using the clean uninstall method provided by SuperSU. I assume that should do it.
Anyone?

I got the app to setup but could never get it to work on the terminal. I think that you have to be on the stock ROM, from what it sounds like from most of the users that were rooted. Here's the play services that worked for me.

Ok with some troubleshooting and some help from @dazednconfused looks like mods with jar edits may be the cause of Android Pay not working. So with that being said, some custom Roms work and some don't. I finally got it working now let's see if someone can find a work around for Samsung Pay

Go into the supersu app and then settings, then click full unroot you will have to be in this state before paying. With some roms, you may actually have to add the card again, if you tried to pay while rooted

Best Way To Use TiBu Before Flashing...

I have TiBu Pro, and I know how to batch, but I've run into problems before when flashing a new rom (even starting from stock), that once the new rom is live I get tons of force close issues.
After a lot of trial and error, I figured out it was TiBu. I've deleted my whole apps, reinstalled one by one, and now have a fresh system.
What's the best way to backup apps using TiBu to avoid issues with performance and force closes after flashing a new rom?
I really appreciate you help. Thanks!

After you flash a new rom and you restore via TIBU, are you installing "app" only or app and data....?
I never restore data...I only restore app only...and have not had any issues with FC or problems with any of the apps or paid apps....

Yes sir, I do...I use the one click from Qkster to get a good clean plate...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524081
He also has wipe scripts that I use also, between the one click or install of ROM...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1561463
Whats funny I am doing it now as I read and reply to your questions, and actually formatted my SD and ext cards...had to clean up been awhile, because I am putting the latest of Aeon on my Infuse ver1.3....
Might be over kill, but it is 99.9 percent clean prior to installing a new ROM, btw I flash few times a week, but my DD is AEON...
and I never install data on a restore for TIBU, always apps only....
Hope it helps...
Do you do a factory reset from the settings menu in the ROM before flashing? I believe this its the key, and I'm not sure doing a factory reset in cwm is the same thing. You can do this once you have used qkster one click to stock to clear all the issues.

Actually follow the op on the ROM your are trying to install...to answer your question...if it still stands...NO
doing a the wip/factory within CWM is best...will kill all your data, but will not format your internal SD card...
By using qkster one click, it will kill and wipe all taking it back to stock, take a read of his op...see my signature block below...
I'm a newb at this. Never bought any apps before always just used free versions. But if I purchase an app from the market. And let's say I forgot to back it up and I flash a new rom. Would I have to purchase said app again or will the market recognize it as I had already purchased it and I can just download it again?

Google Wallet build.prop edit

I made this for myself to make it easier to get google wallet working after I flash a rom, or when I'm just out and about. All this does is replace the build.prop with one that has the necessary changes to it.
From this:
ro.product.model=SCH-I535
ro.product.name=d2vzw
ro.product.device=d2vzw
To This:
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
I have only tested this on my d2vzw on a CM10 based rom. Figured I would share in case anyone else wanted to save a couple seconds.
Thank's to imnuts for helping me figure out how to make a flashable zip!
EDIT: including the other zip I made to go back to normal when you don't need wallet.
Thanks
Edit : Google wallet keeps telling me to turn nfc on using aokp... Even after I do it. *Le sigh *

Google Wallet doesn't support the verizon SGS3, so you have to change build.prop to make the phone think its a GSM Galaxy Nexus in order to get Google Wallet to work.

Should be, I tested it on a build from 2 day's ago and it worked fine for me. Flashing AOKP right now to see if it works as well.
This does in fact work with 8/31 AOKP build, had to flash this before I installed Google Wallet from the market, it installed, and Wallet booted right up for me.
I have used build.prop to get Wallet working before, but I can never seem to keep it working after going back to d2vzw. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

You are doing nothing wrong, if you go back to d2vzw, it won't work anymore. That's why I made the zip, for when I'm out and wanna use wallet, I can just flash the zip, and wallet works for me. Then I made another zip to flash after I'm done with it, that will flash it back to d2vzw.

TAPPED in on my (now unlocked bootloader) Verizon S3
question
So for clarity sake... If you are rooted with a custom rom... You can flash this at any time? Do you have to flash this before installing the app? And is there any harm in leaving the new build.prop file ?
Need to know what issues I might run into. I do like the easy flash method.
Thanks

It should continue to work as long as you don't clear the wallet app before reflashing the build prop back to the stock.

Yeah, I think this ROM may require a certain set of permissions or something. Not sure. May have to look at the updater script. Heading to ed soon so... Maybe someone else can figure it out. I only tested the My VZW and it failed but messaging and calls were good. Its a dump from my phone so who knows

Scott indicated there are bugs. Possible issue with stock browser. Kinda Crap mods not tested to work. AFAIK, the latest and greatest that's stable is the G7 radios, CleanROM 2.1 and CleanKernel 1.2, all three of which have been reported to work very well together (including for myself). Hope this helps.
--more--
Sorry, forgot to answer your question...lol...this is MUCH different than CleanROM. CleanROM has all or most of the bloatware / Verizon crap removed, as well as a lot of background apps and services disabled or removed as well. The OTA has nothing removed and is only rooted (meaning you can use Titanium Backup, ES File Explorer and other system-type apps as root).

[MOD] How to install 'Xposed' on the HTC One

This post details how to install 'Xposed' on the HTC One.
Full details on the modification can be found in this post.
rovo89 said:
Some technical details:
I extended the /system/bin/app_process executable to load a JAR file on startup. The classes of this file will sit in every process (including the one for system services) and can act with their powers. And even more: I have implemented something that allows developers to replace any method in any class (may it be in the framework, systemui or a custom app). This makes Xposed very powerful. You can change parameters for the method call, modify the return value or skip the call to the method completely - it's all up to you! Also replacing or adding resources is easy.
Advantages:
No need to modify any APKs. This means:
No need to decompile, change things in smali, compile, sign, ...
It will work for odexed and deodexed ROMs.
Your mod is not bound to a specific version of the ROM. Unless there is a major change in the methods called for a certain functionality, your mod will continue to work even when you upgrade your ROM. Hell, it will probably even work with different ROMs.
Multiple mods can be installed at the same time, even if they change the same package. So you can use these battery icons and those quick toggles. Even hooking the same method twice is possible. Of course, this only works properly if the mods are not trying to do incompatible things.
It does its magic at runtime. That means you can implement options to let the user decide if they prefer the bikeshed to be painted in red or blue. Or you can have some extra logic for certain ROMs without building different mod versions.
It can be disabled easily without having to reflash.
It's open source.

This guide is posted with rovo89's permissions. MASSIVE thanks to him for this modification, it's awesome. I'll be posting a number of modules for the One soon, keep an eye on this forum for details.
A custom installation system is required due to the One's /system partition lock (changes are lost at reboot). So... to install (this is version 2.1.3, i'll update as required)...
Download and install this APK - DOWNLOAD
Executed Xposed Installer from your launcher and click 'Install / Update'
Download this zip file and copy to your internal SD card - DOWNLOAD
Install the downloaded zip from your custom recovery
That's it, you're done! To uninstall, use the 'Clean Up' option in the app and then run the uninstall zip from the main Xposed Framework post.
Enjoy!

Is it possible to use XPosed's "long press volume button to skip songs" feature on HTC One? I can't test it since I don't have the phone yet, but it's a very important feature for me.
I've not seen / tried that mod, but it should certainly be possible to create it.

Changing files in /system is impossible without root, so the answer is, sadly, no.
You could probably be unrooted after installation, but you need to root first to install.

Pretty sure it reads "may void your warranty". Hasn't affected anyone that I know of so far in getting a replacement. They don't even check, and the people in the store have no clue about what unlocked or s-off even means. They are salesmen not techs.

More like someone can't read simple instructions and asked for a VIDEO TUTORIAL in how to flash a zip. Read and search before asking how to do something very basic. You got what you deserved. You should read a whole lot more before you brick your phone!

NFC screen off/Google Wallet
Installed everything as instructed. Kid-mode mod works fine. I'm having issues with Google Wallet and the NFC enabled with screen off mod. First, I installed the Google Wallet apk and enabled the "Don't verify root/compatibily" part, but when I start up Google Wallet, it just says "Setting up Wallet, this may take up to 5 minutes." It just sits there and then eventually times out and closes down. Any suggestions to get this to work? Second, I enabled the NFC mod but it does not work. Any advice for this too?

[ROM] [1/2/2014] Stock Rooted ROM - D80110g

There was no ROM for the new update so I tried my hand at it. It's rooted and has busybox.
Credits/Acknowledgments:
Scrosler (I used his updater script)
Hyelton for the kdz
Bullghost for making a kickass kdz extractor
When flashing it takes a while at formatting so don't freak out. Make sure to wipe Dalvik and Cache after you flash.
Not responsible for anything! Use at your own risk!
NO REQUESTS! I'M NOT GOING TO DEODEX, DEBLOAT, OR INVERT APPS, ETC... PLEASE DON'T ASK
Pay no mind to icons, there are ones I made for myself, the ROM is stock.

I was doing this from my desktop PC, originally with IE and was told I was outdated. So, I tried Chrome, was told I was outdated (IE was intentionally outdated as I do not like subsequent versions, but Chrome is up to date).
Each option required updating, and when I hovered over one of the suggested browsers, "download" appeared, and when clicked, I was brought to the browsers' update pages.
I saw no "close" to choose (unless you were talking about mobile version), and closing a PC browser's window did not result in the start of a download.
There is not anything (that I can think of, at the moment), that is worth going through hoops for. I still have my Tytung ROM-based HTC HD2, now at 4.4.2 if I need an fix update. I can wait on the G2, as I am pretty pleased with it (D80110c) out of the box, after rooting it. Will wait for LG's KitKat, as I am, so far, underwhelmed by existing KitKat releases so far.
It could be that LG simply did a great job on their own...

is this update not coming via OTA if you're rooted??
Is it only for store-bought black G2s? I ordered my white one from T-Mobile over the phone.
my software info is currently
android 4.2.2
baseband M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190034
kernel 3.4.0
build JDQ39B
software D80110c
I have TWRP custom recovery installed also, did that possibly prevent me from receiving an OTA update?

You're right, it doesn't boot at all. Goes straight back to TWRP everytime. Clean install here too. System, data, and cache wipe.

Try wiping data only after the install.
And to answer the other guys question, this isnt a OTA, its a release that LG did via the update tool. Kind of like what Samsung did with the tmobile s2 and 4.1.

Sorry yes... I did say I was using Firefox.
It pops up to install the "Mega Firefox extension"... I clicked close and the DL went on without issue.
After the DL reached 100%, the norm save file window popped up to save where I'll like.

Doesn't sound like hoops to me (I have Firefox, too). Worth a try, I suppose, but I might choose to wait anyway, what, with all the posts about not getting beyond TWRP. Thanks, fishman.
Booted fine for me, restore your backup and flash over but do not wipe system/data, only Dalvik/cache.
