Cannot Connect to Home Network/Stuck on Roaming - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone,
Recently I came back from trip to USA. Everything was working fine, I used Wind's roaming in USA. Ever since I came back to Canada, my phone is struggling to connect to Wind Home network. It almost always connects to Wind Away (roaming) even when I'm in the coverage zone. I tried a new SIM card, factory reset, *#*#4636#*#* steps and I'm still stuck. Eventually it connects to Home network after 1 hr but when I lose the signals (subway tunnel, basement), the phone is back to Wind Away and stuck again.
I tried Koodo and Virgin mobile SIM on OPO and they work fine, however when I put my brother's Wind SIM (which was not used in USA at all), the phone doesn't connect to WIND Network. The same SIM on LG G2 locked on WIND works fine. The provider says that they have no issues from their side regarding the IMEI and all that.
Can someone please help me with this frustrating problem? I'm running CM12.1 (currently stock state) and International OPO. Thank you!

I have the exact problem on Wind with my oneplus one. Went to Lac la Biche for a few days and now I'm back in Edmonton it's stuck on wind away.

[Q] Fried Radio? How to Test?

My MyTouch 4G slide has been sitting for a month or two after previously working fine. Now it powers up however it can't get a signal with my T-mobile SIM (or my wife's). I'm concerned that somehow the radio might have gotten fried. So far I've reflashed it back to stock, unrooted, and hard reset it a few times, nothing has worked.
If I go into Wireless & Networks, drop down to Mobile Networks, Then Network Operators, and "Search Networks", it takes a few moments and finds AT&T & T-Mobile (I'm in an area where my devices normally get full T-Mobile service). However when I try to connect to T-Mobile, I get a message saying "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network". Same SIM works fine in a G2, connected to T-Mobile.
Anyone have a way to test the phone radio, or perhaps have an idea on what it's issue is?
I have had this exact problem, and attempted the same solutions, but without success. Was working fine, and then 1hr later quit working and was not able to repair even after return to stock/deroot, etc. Doing warranted return, and just got replacement phone by mail for swap out from t-mo.
am a little worried about reroot and rerom in case I have another problem.
My device is doing the same thing. Not sure when it started... I havent used the MT4GS in a few weeks, picked it up and reset it back to stock everything, and it's not getting any service from any of my SIM cards. I unlocked it a while ago to use on AT&T prepaid SIM, and not even that will work... Any advice would be helpful...

I've used Z-Device Test by Zausan Innovacion Tecnologica to test just about everything on my phone.
I'm having a similar issue on mine after trying jupoeanutbear and failing. I have signal but data craps out at random times now.

[Q] p509 on Wind Mobile

After taking a long time to arrive from Hong Kong, I tried putting my Wind SIM into the Optimus T but it would only go onto GPRS on Wind Away (Rogers). The settings said the phone was a p500, but after checking behind the battery, it really was a p509. I tried multiple methods of getting the 3G to work, such as flashing the branded T-Mobile ROM with KDZ, applying the old baseband and adding a Wind APN, but nothing worked. When I force the phone to go onto WCDMA, it cannot find the network. In addition, with the T-Mobile ROM, it does not say that I'm roaming when I'm on GPRS, like it should.
I scoured the forums for other answers, but haven't really found anything that helps. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Might help to say where your located since Wind doesn't cover all of Canada and if your not in Wind coverage zone then you will be stuck to roaming on Rogers 2G network.
I am in a Wind zone, as I receive nearly full bars of 3G from my Nokia 500. I originally bought the p509 to learn about Android development, but having 3G would be nice (the Nokia isn't that great of a phone ).
UPDATE/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
-I have flashed mik's CM7, and the phone displays that it's roaming on the Rogers network (still on GSM, EDGE)
-My IMEI is displayed, as well as my phone number, but when I tried calling it from a different phone, it just says that I'm unavailable. It's only later on when I get a text message saying that someone tried calling me
-With the SIM card inserted, the Wind APNs for MMS and Internet are already added
-I was starting to suspect it has the wrong motherboard in a T-Mobile casing, but a production sticker on the inside indicated that indeed it was a 509
-LGMDP shows that the phone is using the old baseband (V10s), and is a p509
Any help is welcome, it's driving me insane since I can't seem to find the problem.
I have a mobilicity sim running on P509
do you want to try my sim on yours
or your sim on my phone?
where about are you? I am in burnaby bc area
Sorry, I'm in Ontario... I might ask a friend to try their Wind SIM in my phone and see if it works, but it probably won't. But I still don't understand; software-wise, everything seems fine.

[Q] 5.0.1 Allows call/sms but not data

I have an HTC One M8 from Verizon that is Global unlocked. I live in Costa Rica now and when I got it I used it with the cell network here using a prepaid SIM card. My phone has worked fine for the last ten months, during a recent trip to the US I had a Verizon SIM card in and it forced me to upgrade to 5.0.1 (or well it kept popping up a when are you going to update notification every few hours until I relented).
Now back in Costa Rica I can no longer connect to the data network. I have the same settings and have tried everything I can think of. I've tried using GSM, UMTS, Legacy 3GPP multimode, and Global mode. I can make calls and texts fine and have good signal, but I don't get the data emblem or a data connection now. I've tried countless reboots, switching in and out of airplane mode, checking my phone credit using the mmi code, etc.
I'd like to just rollback to the previous version if it's not possible to fix the issue. Any suggestions as to how to maybe fix this or roll back the OS?

[Q] Lost all cell service after a couple of flash fires and ODIN flashes. Help

So as I traveled to Puerto Rico, I had flashfired into Clean Rom 1.1 when I got here, I had cell signal for 5 minutes then in that sames spot the signal would be lost entirely. I restarted and the same thing kept happening. Over and Over and over, so I tried different custom roms, none of them worked. Then I lost all of my cell signal, not even Odin flash helps me have cell reception not even for an instant. Could be a programming error or is it more likely to be that Verizon deactivated my SIM due to all of the activation cycles i made my phone go through? Please help guys
What firmware were you on before you flash clean 1.1?

If you're still in Puerto Rico, that's probably why.
A) Puerto Rico coverage may work and be domestic billing wise for VZW phones, but it's not like being in the states. Some areas just don't work, and I think VZW doesn't invest into those towers like they do in the original 50 states.
B) From what I remember about the coverage map, it's primarily a 3G network, so it more than likely can't activate until you're in a 4g area. It should be fine once you're back in the states.

Question on Network Operators

So, previously when I went into network operators, next to T-Mobile there would be a little sim card icon. This has not shown up, and it will not roam off T-Mobile. If I do manually select ATT when I have no Tmo service, it refuses to switch back without multiple restarts and sacrificing a goat.
I've noticed that this is also happening on two Nexus 6 phones I own. Same deal, no sim card icon. They will roam off Tmo, but often times get stuck on att if there's strong enough att signal. Interestingly, the one that is bone stock has even more trouble switching back than one on a custom rom.
Did Tmo change something, or is it something on my end? because I've not changed anything on my G5, it's rooted and running stock (M update right now) with TWRP recovery and it worked fine before. The two nexus phones haven't had issues like this in the past either.
