So i have several issues with my phone.
First flashlight and loudspeaker doesn't work, also i have a high battery consumption, switched rooms and all, and with no wakelocks on deep sleep i get +10% / H battery loss.
Someone had the same issue?
could all this be because a bad battery?

Hi all, based on my experience of flashing various different ROMs, most of the ROM shouldn't have the battery drain issue. However, I discovered some times after flashing a new ROM the device gets much warmer and the battery drains very quickly.
When this happens the best solution is to shutdown the device, pull the battery out for 5 minutes or so to let it cool down. Then put it back and turn on the device and the battery drain problem should be resolved.
I haven't been able to find the reason behind that but it does make a big difference. With one of the ROM I flashed, the battery went from 100% to flat in less than a day even when no WiFi, no bluetooth and no infrared are turned on. Then I recharged the device, pulled the battery out to let it cool down and put it back. After that the battery went back to normal with only around 3% consumption overnight.
Sounds interesting.
I also noticed that the device is getting hot in some cases (high CPU usage).
It is clear that the selfdischarge of the battery if much higher when it gets warmer. If it is being recharged in a short time afterwards, then also here the temperature will get higher.
This might be an explanation. You're right.

Mhh.. i found out, if you have a bad cell connection (like 1 bar of all 4) the phone starts to boost somehow this hardware and drains alot battery.
Any1 experiencing that?

You're absolutely correct... When the GSM carrier signal is weak, your phone compensates for this weakness by boosting the signal off your phone's antenna. This process consumes alot of power. Another reason for such a high consumption is that your GSM service provider is using a low GSM band for its GSM infrastructure and your phone is a triple/quad band phone. In that case, it would continuously boost off the signal.
Recently, I upgraded my opo to 38r manually. Now I suffered sudden death when the battery level reached 40%. I needed to charge it for a while, since it showed very low battery level when I plugged in the charger. However, when I turned on the phone a few minutes later, the battery level was at 40% not 0%. Does anyone experience the same problem? Mind to share your solution? Thanks.
I have the same problem! Did you find any solution?
If you're rooted, you can use Easy Battery Calibration from the Play Store to re-calibrate your battery stats.
Each time after battery 100% charged, it drops very very quickly in 2min - 5min and it shows 94% or 95%. Wifi, bluetooth and GPS are off.
After this quick drop, it will keep stable even a whole night it will lose only 1%.
The battery life is ok for me: normally 3 hours SOT, 2 days usage.
I tried stock rom, GPE rom and CM11. Same phenomenon happens.
I'm just curious that someone met the same issue like this?

Stock 4.4.3 / 4.4.4 included a fix by Motorola for a serious battery sensor issue. This fix also changed the way battery charging behaves. This may be what you are observing.

Thanks for info. In fact I never see it drops to 1%. I'm not sure they're the same issue.
Poor battery life on a rooted phone
Hi guys, I just bought a z3 from a friend, and I have some battery problem
On 5.1.1, my battery only last for a day, which is under my expectation for the z3. Note that I only use my phone when necessary, location, mobile data, nfc, bluetooth, wifi are always off when I don't need them. I lend my mother's z3v and its battery life was excellent, I compared the 2 phone by watching a youtube clip for 10 minutes, with only wifi on, the z3v only lost 1% battery while my z3 lost 3-4% each time. But according to cnet (sorry I can't post links yet), the z3's battery have a slight edge over the z3v. Why is this happening?
Anyway, I downgrade my z3 to kitkat, rooted it, install setcpu, greenify, wakelocks detector, I also use disable service. Like before, all the phone functions are off when I don't need them, all unnecessary apps are deleted. However, my phone battery is still nowhere near the non-rooted z3v. I have a feeling that the battery drain faster below 85%, when it reached 15%, it loses 1% every 30 seconds. Moreover, the z3v only loses 1% over night (sometimes not at all) in airplane mode, while my z3 loses about 3-4%.
What do you guys think? Is this a problem with the phone's battery? Can my friend damaged the battery in his six months of using?
Sorry if my English is hard to understand, I tried my best to describe the problem
I have been facing high battery consumption issue on Wi-Fi. Never faced such issue. Do you know any fix please battery doesn't come for a day with regular usage
