How is iPAD PRO compared with our Note PRO - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, what do you think of the new iPAD PRO compared with our Note PRO?
Pro: may be faster graphics and higher resolutions
Con: can't use it as a cell phone, no usb, lower battery capacity?
Don't know how the GUI compared. Can the new iOS do things that we could do with the S-Pen?

Slightly higher on some things, resolution, size, slightly lower weight. NEGLIGIBLE. But no sd card slot and extra 100 for the pressure Sensitive pen. More expensive than note pro but has a 128gb option for $1049
Biggest setback, its the IOS bird cage.
I am not crazy abput apple. And they are playing catch up. I have had my pro 12.2 for a year and a half. Back when it was panned as "too big" and "too heavy" now here we are, and suddenly because apple farted, its the cats meow.
if you have the note prp 12.2 i thinkits great.Migrated nearly 95% of my workflow to it. Except leagcy programs. Even have msdos emulation. And soon, there will be vines.

If it were running Mac OS, I would buy it. One problem with replacing my Note PRO with the iPAD PRO is that I will need to carry an extra item (phone). I have been using the Note PRO as a phone for a year already.

Pro: it will be updated...
Con: Apple product and expensive

Your iPad Pro "pro" is ultimately the biggest problem I have with my Note Pro, it's not going to make it to 6.0. Any Samsung owner who's had other tabs knows you rarely see anything more than a single update.

I'm not sure why one would want OSX on a tablet, it inherently isn't optimized for touchscreen use like a mobile OS like iOS or Android are. Newer versions of windows try to do it but end up having to have applets to bridge the gap since in the end your run of the mill windows applications aren't touch optimized either. Sure you can tap away at menus and toolbars but the scaling of such things isn't always ideal.
I like OSX but mainly for its simplicity and my ability to move around using keyboard commands and gestures (I never use the dock or mission control, only Alfred and keyboard shortcuts).

Ipad is better than Android tablets?

I am a die hard android fan, and windows and Linux as far as the pc goes. Personally I can't stand apple, or anything they make. However, a reoccurring statement I've seen is that android tablets are nowhere near the ipad. Why is this? For what reason are android tablets considered under developed at the time. What makes the ipad so much of a better tablet? Spec wise they don't stand out too much, aside from the newest having a high res and a good gpu. Is it just because the Android tablets have a smaller market? Or does it have to do with the OS not working properly. I'm Just curious as to why people don't think android tablets are worthwhile
As much as i know, tegra 3>a5 processor
Personally, I would stick with Android. Sure, the display is better, but a locked OS, severely restricted download capabilities, and no ability to side load limit what you can do. Just my two cents.

Its just horses for courses, personal preference.
New android tablets are coming out like the mediapad 10 which imho are better than ipad though ipads gpu and screen are great what people forget is that apps are upscaled to the high ipad resolution so don't all look as good, the screen is in 4:3 format so videos either have to waste all the extra pixels by using them to display black bars or zoom in the video so its more blurry and stretched.
So for viewing hd video for example the new ipad is not as good.

Hello
the new iPad haves better processor for gaming, and you people say that iPad cannot be customized, if you dont know, you can always jailbreak it, it gives you customization potential that android haves. In english: iPad for gaming, and android for everything else. you can actually have flash on your ipad when youre jailbroken. but android is also cheaper. but cheap android tablet also is slow and not so good, and ipad gets more updates and faster. you choose. i would choose iPad even im a great android fan
This is my personel preferrence but I don't play on my iPad two anyway near as much as my android devices, iPad games are expensive and even though once jailbroken they can be customized, the layout of apps and things is still the same. We have launchers and Roms that are very customizable and Cpu' you can overclock.can you overclock an iPad?

I agree gpu is better and yes cheap android tablets tend to be slow but why compare ipad to cheap tablets and not ones in its price range instead?
And a jailbroken ios device can still not do all an android can do, my most obvious example being tasker like automation or live wallpapers.
But yes new ipad is very good for gaming although not all its potential can be used.

While the tegra 3 is the only quad core chipset available right now, nvidia did a pretty terrible job with it. It's constantly out performed by dual core chips such as Krait and exynos in most areas. Most apps can't utilize four processors, and the ones that do are games that are actually dependent on the gpu. And in that sense, the Kal-El gpu in the terga 3 chip is a toy compared to the pvr m4 gpu in the ipad. The four cores in the pvr outperform even the full 12 in the Kal-El gpu. I'd expect more for the manufacturer of some of the best desktop graphics cards in the world. So all you're going to benefit from the tegra three chip is slightly better power savings when you're doing heavy multitasking. I'd trade off the four cores for a Krait cpu with an adreno gpu any day. At the moment the ipad 3's chipset is the best out there.
Has to be Android all the way.
Open source and pretty much does anything you want whereas i just see the Ipad as a nice looking tablet but it doesn't do much!!
Has anyone notice as well that the accessories are ridiculously over priced for all Apple products

Thats a common complaint against apple. They claim they're products are ultra compatible, yet in order to connect them to anything non apple you have to be an extensive and expensive set of cables and adapters
Bumpity bump. I'd like some more opinions :/
Well I am in the market for my first tablet at the moment.
Girlfriend is an iphone user so just know she will pick faults with anything that does not work as well as, or slightly different to ios.
I have yet to find a good alternative to airplay, I have yet to find a feature and usage complete alternative to airplay/remote combo. PS3 media server (for the PS3) and dlna with 10k+ mp3's is not in the same league.
So think I will be leaning towards the ipad, even the nerd in me does not see a great advantage for any current android tablet vs ipad..
I think Android is better!!
Is anybody love for ESPOW android tablet pc?
There is no doubt Ipad id better than android tablet, but not everyone can offord it.
Is anybody love for ESPOW android tablet pc?
I think it is a smart choice.
Although I hate to admit it, the ipad is definitely up there in terms of ease of use etc. However, I definitely couldn't handle the restrictiveness and would opt for a transformer prime.
I had an eee pad transformer tf101 for a while and like on my droid razr, really enjoyed the customization, flashing roms such as Android revolution hd which really improved the tablet in terms of reliability and smoothness. Using live wallpapers and custom launchers was also great fun. However, it experienced some rather inconvencing problems such as the touch screen intermittently dying and poor build quality, the bezel around the edge came loose from the screen and made the screen uncomfortably flexible.
Recently i bought the new ipad and the build quality is simply flawless. For word processing pages is again, flawless. The same can be said for keynote and numbers. It is also extremely smooth and the retina display is beautiful.
I love android and its flexibility for customization but in the case of eee pad transformer and even galaxy tab 10.1 which i have some experience using, vs the new ipad?
The iPad wins by a country mile.
I'll just have to get my developing fix from my droid razr

All fanboys are phyocrties one way or another. It's impossible to convince an true android fanboy to believe the ipad is better as a tablet than android.
Most of then bash based on raw power leaving out optimisation, app compatibility, android rt and user experience from a tablet pov rather than synthetic benchmark. Tablet userbility> specs that mean nothing on ios as it is more efficient, built on c+, customisation, phone app on tablet real state.
Gade to see some fanboys understanding both sides. You can tell from my username that I was once a fanboy like many on xda

Surface Tab for Photographers?

Looking at the new Surface tab and its features, it looks really nice. One thing that I noticed is it has pen capabilities. I have not been able to find much on the specs of this side of the tab though.
This still has me excited however as a photog. Do you think this might be a cheaper - although reduced feature - alternative to a Wacom Tablet? I bet photo editing and even full on image creation could be pretty nice on this thing.
Your thoughts?
I was thinking the same thing.
We kknow it will run Lightroom and I hope it will run Photoshop. I picture this also working as a Live view extender.
It is the Windows 8 Pro version of Surface that supports the pen input. Therefore, it is probably very similar in functionality to an existing Windows 7 tablet running Windows 8 release preview. i.e. Asus EP121, Samsung slate, etc.
The only question is what digitizer and how many levels of pressure input it supports. This is still unknown. However, given that EP121 shipped with 4GB RAM, I would expect that Windows 8 Pro would ship with at least 8GB of RAM.

A live view extender would be awesome. I really hope it runs PS because I would love to just draw directly on the tab. I was looking at one of those Wacom tabs but those look a bit to large to be ergonomic for me - as awesome as they are.

I noticed this too. Windows-RT will not do pen input. I wonder if this really is down to ARM not being able to handle it, or whether it is an artificial limitation put up by Microsoft to differentiate the Pro offering? If it is the latter, it would be pathetic.
The galaxy note has pen input and runs arm. Although i dont know the pressure and all that, im no photographer... and surface pro ofcourse will run PS and it supports regular exe programs. And cs6 works fine with windows 8

Samsung tab 3 8.0 or Samsung note 8?

Hello i guys i wanna buy a tablet for web browsing, listen music, youtube, emails and im between those two tablets ,they have 50euros different in my country and i'm think what to buy... i heard the tab 3 has better battery life and i really appriciate lonng battery life.Thank you for listening and hope you share your wisdom
I would find a store where I could compare them side by side.
I have the Tab 3 8.0 and it is a fine tablet. It does everything that you stated you like to do, and it does it well. The build quality is great...much better than the Nexus 7 I owned.
But like everything else, everyone has their own opinions and those opinions will vary greatly. You will have to decide for yourself.

so should i wait a bit for the tab4 to come out? . I'm more curious for battery life, how much battery life you got from tab3?
I also was choosing between the same two models a short time ago, and went with the tab 3 8.0. I would say for what you want to do with it go for the tab 3. I am very pleased with mine, and have even installed some very graphic intensive games and it handles them with no problem at all. And the battery life is great(not as much so while playing those high graphic games).
With the screen at about 30% brightness I have been getting almost an hour of screen time per 10% battery, while web surfing and email and the sutch.

If I had to choose between the two, the Note 8 all the way, no questions. The Tab 3 8 even though it came out in 2013 has a CPU that is already 3 1/2 years old. Do you absolutely need too go with Samsng , have you looked at the LG G Pad, you can buy them now for 275 dollars, it has 2GB of RAM, 1080P resolution, Qualcomm 600 CPU and has Gorilla Glass 3, where as the Tab 3 8 has nothing and the Note 8 has the first generation. Just an idea, its your money, but I would defiantly choose the Note 8. A much nicer tablet in almost every way. I would also check out the EVGA Note 7, it also has an active digitizer pen, a Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU that lays waste to both the the Tab 3 8 and Note 8, built in HDMI, doesn't have the bloated TouchWiz that takes up 700MB of system memory and is probably the laggiest Android version on the market today, plus it will get updates much, much faster as they come direct from Nvidia, draw back is its only 7 inches.
I would maybe even think about waiting a little, save up some cash and buy the Samsung Pro 8.3, their dropping in price pretty fast and is probably one of the best 8 inch Android tablets on the market today.
Though between you and me, dump the idea of buying an Andoid tablet all together and buy a Dell Venue 8 Pro Windows 8 tablet. Only 250 dollars, have gotten incredible reviews from every tech site and magazine out their, 2GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB storage, USB 3 through OTG, Miracast, active digitizer, much, much better multitasking through multiple windows, can display a movie on your TV and still use the tablet, if you still want Android, developers are working on a dual boot option so you will have the best of both worlds.
Just check out some of the reviews yourself, Arstechnica has a really good article on the Venue 8 Pro.

Thank you mate for the message really really helpful .The note 8 cost 220 euros in my country the pro 8.4 300euros and the lg g pad 270. I was thinking the GPad but the I read that the battery go for 4-5 hours the most and I was kinda disappoint. then I thought for 8.4 but it's kinda expensive right now for an android tablet. Do you think I should go with the note 8 for 220euros or with gpad or wait for 8.4 price go down?

Which country are you in, I'm in Switzerland and I know of a few really great shops that ship pretty much everywhere except the UK. If you absolutely need a tablet now I would go for the LG G Pad, the battery life is really not much different than the Note 8. The Google Play Edition model is defiantly the one I would go for as you will get frequent updates. You will absolutely love the 1080P resolution over the anemic 720P of the Note 8 and the Qualcomm 600 CPU found inside is extremely fast. It all depends if you need a tablet now though.

I wouldn't, in fact I would stay as far as way from the Samsung Tab line of mid-tier tablets as possible. Their just not worth it, the previous model, the Tab 3 had a Exynos 4212, the Exynos 4210 was showcased in November of 2010 and then released in Q1 of 2011 with the Tab 7.7. The two models have almost identical performance models. The Tab 4 follows the same line of thinking by inserting the bare minium of what the current market will except. There is absolutly nothing, nothing, that makes the Tab 4 8 a tablet that one would want to own when compared to others. TouchWiz now takes up an abysimal 800MB of memory so the 1.5GB of RAM is halved for for apps, there is no Gorilla Glass, Samsung claims that their alternative is just as good but experience with these tablets suggest otherwise, the SnapDragon 5 CPU is no match for their other budget friendly models like the 600 which can found in the LG G Pad. Resolution is an appaling 1280 x 800, when every other Android Tablet manufacture is making their 8" models with at least a 1080P panel. Samsung finially dropped the price of the Tab 8 to a managable level, the previuos model was just so outrageously exspensive for the level of hardware that was offered. I still wouldn't buy one though, at any price, your compromising just to much to save a few bucks. Save your money and when you have enough buy an LG G Pad, Kindle HDX 8.9, the Samung Pro 8.4, upcoming Nexus 8, Dell Venue 8 Pro, Lenovo ThinkPad 8, Asus Vivo 8, etc. Just don't paint your self into a corner by buying the absolute bare minium like a Tab 4 8, or any other Tab 4 model. This is a perfect example of Samsung's logic, right now on Amazon, the Tab 4 10.1 is listed for 320 dollars where as the Tab Pro is 400, an 80 dollar difference, you would have to be a complete idiot not to go with the Pro. Who put's a 720P in a 10.1 inch display nowadays, in a 8" was hard enough top swallow.

I will give a small review of my GPAD just to share my experience. I paid 240euros for this with a case with it lets go
9/10Screen:amazing colors and the best screen it terms of size I have work on,much better than nexus 7
9/10Build:reminds me iPad mini with a Samsung touch on it kinda stand in the middle
7/10Battery: not great not bad gives me like 7-8 hours on screen I'm ok with it
8/10Sound: the sound and the speakers are very loud
Overall I give it a 8.5/10 it's the most cool looking tablet I see,so fast in browsing or play 3d games ,I use it everyday and I haven't open my laptop the last 2 days. I wish u bought this before nexus 7 2013 ,between those GPad is miles away.

Great news I knew you would like it. The design is pretty cool, love the metal backing with the white body, very modern looking. Nothing beats the Qualcomm CPU's in an Android tablet, especially the 600 and 800 series. The Tab 3 8 just doesn't compare and I didn't want you making a mistake by buying one. I know the fellows here swear by them but for the price and the massive difference in speed and specs the LG is just a better buy all way around. It's such a neat feeling when you have so much power in such a small device. There isn't a game in the Play Store that the LG can't run like butter. You should also really think about buying a Miracast dongle or box for your TV, playing games and watching Movies or TV through the LG connected to a 1080P TV or monitor is simply fantastic. I recommend you installing ES File Manager, it's one of the best file managers around, it allows you to access all of you Cloud storage, local servers and other computers on your network from one app, it also contains a built in unzip and unrar function.
Anyway I'm glad you like it, check out the LG G Pad forum here, unlike the Tab 3 forum the LG G Pad Forum is very active and they have tons of custom ROMS, developers love the LG and it shows by the amount of ROMS available.

Nope, it's still stuck at 1280 x 800.

I was thinking too for the tab pro 8.4 but it was 60 euros more and the first models of the line always has some bugs or problems that the second lines doesn't so I had to wait for the seconds lines to come out. Plus I heard the battery is not strong at all so I pick the cheaper Gpad

[Q] will there be a 2015 edition?

So im thinking of replacing my note 4 with this or the 10 inch tab, any chance of a 2015 note tablet? Or am i safe getting a 2014 version
Also how does this compare with a note 4?
My note 4 lags alot (thinking its defective) and i only use it at home as its not my primary phone.
It hasn't been announced, but if it will happen, it'll be at the CES 2015, which starts 2 days from now, from 6-9 january.
There have been no leaks whatsoever, so I rather doubt it. They were working on a 13" device, so perhaps that's the next version. I'd wait until 10 january. If it hasn't been announced by then, it probably won't be any time soon.
Your Note 4 should not lag. Have you tried a factory reset?

Press releases will probably hit today, Monday and Tuesday. But they could wait until Barcelona, that's around the time when they normally announce their new phones, so they might push a tablet announcement out until then.
Id be ok waiting till march, but this is going on my verizon tablet line. And as far as im aware theres usually a gap between the tablets release and when verizon releases their LTE model.
Would be it be unwise to get the pro, and use it till the next one comes out on verizon? (Im estimating a late 2015 release date for the verizon LTE model if they do releas a new tablet)
there is a rumored 10.1 2015 edition that has been spotted in name only so far on some advertising. I had the original Note 10.1 then got the Note 10.1 2014 and was very pleased, the super slow recharge was partial reasoning for me to give it to my gf and then got the Verizon Note 12.2 Pro LTE for the Qualcomm chip that I thought had the quick charge function on the chipset. It does charge pretty fast but for how much I spoent I thought it would have had the Note 4 type Fast Charge. I was able to root the Verizon tablet but future versions after the 4.4.2 exploit will close that loophole. I personally dont understand that they make it so difficult by having a locked bootloader on Verizon. I paid $1000 for the tablet, I want to do whatever I want to it! I love the size vs the 10.1, which feels small now as I have adjust to the bigger screens.
The price point is the issue. In Future, I would just get the WiFi only model as that is usually the version for anything custom (ROMS, recovery, kernel) and are usually widely supported more in my opinion. I'd love to see a Super AMOLED, uses less power, 2k version (whatever the Note 4 specs are) for 12.2 Note Pro. I would love for them to have the fast charge feature just like the NOTE 4, the newer air command of Note 4 vs Note 3/10.1/12.2, Camera improvements passed along, 3 or 4 GB of RAM, larger batteries, thinner bezel. The updated stylus that is more responsive. this is an evolutionary tablet, which I am fine with...

A family member has the 10.5 Tab S, which is a bit newer than the notepro and it even that doesnt have QuickCharge or Usb 3.0
Note pro and Tab S are already 2k/3gb ram, and i dnt see the need for a 4k android tablet.
Im in a contact for a tablet line anyways, so might as well get the LTE model and plus im not a fan of the exynos chips.
Still not sure if if i should get the notepro or wait, i use my note 4 for drawing, multitasking browsing/media/notes/other apps.
I totally agree agree with agree with your observations as well. I was merely speculating what I personally would like to see. I prefer the Qualcomm chips as 805 has the quick charge feature built in. The WiFi Exnoys is getting all the custom support at least in US, as the p905v (has locked bootloader, stupid verizon). If the bootloader was unlocked my opinion would greatly change. I want to see a note version of the tab S, since they finally used a super ambled screen, thus uses less power on lighting up the screen as the black diodes use no power and let's do. Maybe I was meaning 4G of RAM, that is just to keep everything running smoothly. I much prefer the 12.2 screen size over the 10.1 as I have become use to the larger screen size, now the 10.1 seems too small. It all depends on how much you are using it. I suppose I just felt the need to have the next new toy. I do think the USB 3, never got utilized so them going back to USB 2.0 as long as it has the new fast charger adapter, same one as Note 4, thus making things interchangeable. If it must be LTE then so be it.
If you are just getting a hold over tablet for your drawing then I think maybe ok to buy. I was jus a little disappointed especially since I paid 1000 vs say 750 for LTE version of. Verizon.....
My personal wish list is what I was referring to. I'm sorry for hijacking the thread. If money isn't an issue then get note 12.2 pro LTE.....note 10.1 2014 p600 isn't bad either and has custom support, but again. I was on WiFi only versions previous to this p905v, so my knowledge is purely based on my on usage.

I bought a 12.2 lte as soon as it was released here, and I was pretty impressed with the snapdragon performance after several exynos phones and tablets - after lots of tweaking (bye bye touchwiz) extremely satisfied with the performance.
Then came the Note 4 lte. Everything I was expecting - way better than the 12.2 out of the box, and after heavy tweaking (bye bye touchwiz) I'm extremely happy with my Note 4.
So, if you're not happy with a Note 4, you'll hate a 12.2 and should wait for the next generation. When is a 13" Note coming? I want one!

Its not that i dont like the device, just that it freezes and lags a lot And i rather not pay samsung to fix it. The note 4 isnt even my main line, so it doesnt leave the house, i use it as a tablet.
What makes the 12.2 bad?
Like I said, until I got my Note 4 I was really pleased with it. Now I want a 13" with the performance of a Note 4. I was making a subjective comparison that the Note 4 snapdragon performs way better than the older gen Note 12.2 snapdragon, so anyone considering investing so much money may decide to wait and see if there's an announcement next month. ..

I posted in the note 4 xda section, and theyre pretty much telling me my note 4 is defective.
I have 4 options
1) get the note pro
2) buy the tab S of a family member (mostly for the samoled screen)
3) try to get a Certfied Note 4 off verizon
4) buy another note 4
The note 4 was on my line, but i replaced it with an iphone 6+. Right now its just a tablet (it doesnt even have a sim in it.) Let say i get a working a note 4, im still only going to use it at home as a tablet, which is why im thinking of a note tablet.
So my questions to u are
1) Would u say the LCD screen was a disapoiment? Compare to a samoled (is having a samoled screen Tab S really worth giving up the note features)
2) in what way does ur note pro prefor inferior to your note 4?
For example I dont play any games on my note 4
On my note 4 i use it to draw [sketchbookx + spen], youtube 1080p +, videos of my memory card [720p or less Quality], play about 48gbs of music, and a lot of internet browsing. (I actually do all my browsing on it since i hate my iphones browsers/1gb of ram)
i use the multi window feature alot, running several things at once. I also like how they minimize to a bubble if u need to get it out of ur way but dont want to closw it.

Well, the current one was announced in January, released in march. They normally don't deviate from such dates in a lineup.
I suspect a new version simply isn't viable yet.
IFA remains a possibility, but I doubt it.

I think so too, im going to just go for it then (can always return it/get the 2015 devicd)
Thing is people have been telling me the tab s is the better tablet now. Why i do like samoled screen for videos, i cant think of any other reason the Tab S would be better. Especially since the spen gets so much use from me (drawing)

An AMOLED screen has infinite contrast, since black is generated by turning the LEDs off. It also has a higher colour saturation (so more vibrant). For films that's a little prettier. Due to the black=LED Off system, black systems are more power efficient. However, Samsung lost all IQ and decided to implement White menu's on everything, and combined with Google's white Material design in every app it barely makes a difference anymore. Films, even thrillers, are never true black, so in that respect it also makes no difference in battery life.
Sadly, the Tab S doesn't come in 12.2" nor with an Spen.
In terms of internal hardware the Tab S is identical to the Tab Pro and Note Pro.
If there was a Note Pro 2015 and it came with an AMOLED screen, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. But Samsung has already stated that 12.2" AMOLED is far too expensive to produce, and would result in an additional 250 quid ontop of the already hefty pricetag.

Sounds like theyre just being bias then if the internals are identical, and i imagine the note lcd screen isnt too shabby for videos anyways. They were saying you can use a stylus pen on the tab S but its just not the same. Think ill go for the Note Tablet.
Its more likely the next 10.1 note would carry the AMOLED than the Pro or maybe even a new AMOLED Note 8.0.

You can use a regular stylus with a rubber tip on a Tab S, yes. But an Spen isn't a regular stylus, so it isn't pressure sensitive, has no button, no action menu and no interactions.
If you draw a lot on it, nothing beats an Spen. I tried drawing with a regular stylus but it's just not the same. No pressure sensitivity whatsoever.
I quite enjoy watching films on this thing. On the main homescreen it looks like you can see the screen pattern, but in films, games, etc the thing is perfectly crisp. Very enjoyable
Yes Indeed. I do suspect the Note 10.1 2015 may come with an AMOLED screen. But not anything over 10.5".

I can't live without the S pen either. I use the note 4 as my main phone. The problem is mine is LTE and AT&T is going to make me wait 60 days till they give me the unlock code for a new device. Since I travel a lot I don't know if I could deal with that again

How is performance with galaxy of heroes and dc legends

I have the iPhone 6s plus and moto x pure and galaxy tab s3. I play dc legends and world warfare and star wars galaxy heroes. These are great on iPhone but suck on my moto x pure and somewhat better on my galaxy tab s3 with dc legends being the worst but it runs totally smooth on iphone. How would these run on the galaxy s8 plus?
The tab s3 is still not great frame rate compared to the iPhone. Of course iPhone is known to run apps and games better even on much older and slower hardware. How?
I'm thinking to exchange my tab s3 for the unlocked galaxy s8+.
Thank you.

My guess is nobody that has had experience with the game you're asking about on this device has seen your post.
But, for reference, these are the 3DMark test comparisons. Hopefully this helps at least a little.
I chalk it up to iPhone is by far much faster then any android even when the iPhone is years older.
My iPhone 6s Plus runs the games smooth. My new Note 8 can’t. Galaxy of heroes is jerky on the note 8 and perfectly smooth on my over 2 year old iPhone 6s Plus.
I don’t get it.
Apple makes much better cpu's and uses better gpu's, its that simple.
I don’t think it is since the cpu and gpu is very good in the 2017 androids. Has vr and that takes a lot. But I know apples are more powerful. I’m just pissed. I bet the iPhone 5 could run these games just fine.
I also think google allows too much stuff in the background and Apple doesn’t. Plus google does not optimize the os as good as Apple in my opinion.
I just don’t think it’s up to just the cpu and gpu only. There’s got to be other factors.
I wish there was a way to disable everything from my note 8 that isn’t absolutely necessary. That may help when starting the phone that way.

Android is actually as optimized as iOS, but the thing is that phone manufacturers like Samsung put so many bloatware on their phones. Plus their skin is pretty heavy.
You can disable bloatware on Samsung by using package disabler/adhell 2.
Anyway, the Note 8 is a beast, it's powerful. But if you want to go even further you can try the Razer Phone, or OnePlus 5/5T or maybe a Stock Android phone like the Google Pixel 2/2 XL

Yep. The Note 8 doesn’t play Galaxy of Heroes good like iPhone 6s Plus and newer. Not even close.
DC Legends is bad too but I think slightly better then Galaxy of heroes.
I’ve even enabled Developer menu. Made it so no process can run in background and even enabled the 2d hardware accelerator thing and the 4x msaa open gl 2.0 thing. Nothing helps.
I wonder about the Razer with the 120hz screen but don’t have a clue how it would run these games.
I’m on Comcast and don’t have $700 for the Razer. Comcast don’t have a bring your own phone setup but phones will work once you have a working activated sim. I have the Comcast note 8 and put the sim in my old Moto X Pure and it works fine. But if I returned the note 8 I’m not sure I’d be able to keep using the sim in my pure. And if I sold the note 8 I’m not sure about the Razer doing good with the games.

There’s nothing wrong with my note 8 I doubt. I have been doing research and there’s a lot to this. Lots of different possibilities to why android is not as good performance as iOS in gaming. Can’t blame just one thing. Lot of articles over the years on this.
What I see is the three games I play run much smoother on my older iPhone 6s Plus then the Note 8. Even when disabling everything I can on the Note 8. And even when force stopping all processes I can. But then most or all just start right up again. Dammit.
