can't access recovery mode plz help
forgot the pin password after not using it for 2 year. Don't see the option to access the google account to reset the password either. so the only way for me to use my phone again is to factory reset. but the hold down and power button doesn't work try it so many time. any way to factory reset it. the debug is not on so cant do anytime in cmd. help plz
did u try pulling the battery out for a min then back in then press n hold vol down + power. fastboot might of been checked in settings.

It should have a forgot login option, and then you use your gmail and pw to login and reset the code.
take battery off of, and hold down VOL DOWN + PWR UNTIL U COME TO A WHITE SCREEN.
once there navigate with vol down and up, and power to make the choice,
Enter BOOTLOADER, GO TO FACTORY RESET. should work, let me know
volume up volume down and power key with phone off .. you will be on hboot then factory reset... this works tested on my inspire
I forgot its pattern and email id password of my android phone. I tried to reset in recovery mode by pressing Vol- and Power button. It takes me to a red icon with exclamation and nothing happens. Its honeycomb version of android, even I cant turn off the mobile at this time, any idea how can I reset my device?

Btw you can always get back YOUR lost gmail password if it's yours....
Have you tried vol+ & power?
Try to wipe data with fastboot / tools flash :good:
on xda you have to specific and tell us your model no.....google "UR PHONE MODEL recovery mode"
and u will find the combination to enter recovery mode
HI my friends explorer is locked out because he forgot password... So i wanted to factory reset the phone...but i cant get it to boot to recovery/hboot using vol down + power it always boots normally... usb debugging is not enabled so cant use adb....please help

Did you remove battery before pressing vol down + power????
note :- if you able to boot in recovery mode try these method first before factory reset

yes numerous times....problem is quick boot setting is on in the phone...but since im locked out i cant change it

I have forgotten my xperia M5 screen lock password. i cannot do hard reset, and i havent switched on developer mode as well as USB debugging on my phone . Is there any way to factory reset or to switch on USB debugging so that i can use ADB to factory reset my phone.

First power off your android.
Hold power on and volume down button simultaneously and wait for 5 seconds.
when you see sony logo then release keys.
Now you are entered in recovery mode.
Use volume down button for navigating and power button for selection.
Select factory data reset option.
I have tried hard reset . But it doesn't work . My phone doesn't boot in recovery mode.
I have my brothers phone which has been dormant for a couple years. He wants to use it again but forgets the unlock pin. How can I reset the phone e.g. through recovery mode etc. (by the way, I can't enter recovery mode from off state using power and -vol)
Can anyone help step me through it?
N.B. I can not use the main menu
