Questions about editing build.prop because of ram management - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I'm really starting to get tired of the terrible ram management on the s6. A few months ago I read about editing build . prop. So, I'm planning on doing this, but I've got a few questions first:
-is it still effective after the 5.1.1 update?
-is there a better "fix"?
Also, I've read somewhere that changing dha to fha has a better result. Can anyone confirm this and explain how to do this?
Thanks guys!

[Q] Htc Pure

hey guys i have an htc pure and quite frankly, its slow, really really slow.
i was wondering are there any cool things i can do with it to make it faster?
ive heard of overclocking and things, but can anyone give me links to files and tell me how to install them?
i really liked this phone at the beginning and now i rather use my razr...
i just need some tips on how to make it faster!
and i know i can delete things and close programs but i need more technical help!
Might want to post this in the Pure subforum instead.

Stock Sensation, what can be done to improve?

Hi guys, i'm actually asking this for my gf's brother, i own an x10 so i don't know much about Sensation.
Since it's a costly phone he doesn't wanna mess with rooting it and does not have the knowledge also, but i was wondering...
What other improvements are (if any) available for the stock 2.3.3 ROM without the need to root?
Maybe just to help optimize it a bit, but it is pretty fast as it is right now...
Thanks

[Q] Best stock firmware for Xperia l?

Hey guys, like most of you are, i'm very disapointed because sony dropped development for our phone... However i dont
have the resources to buy a new one since i lost 200 euros (not dollars) on this brick.
I like its design and for me this could be the best android phone HOWEVER, it's crappy software is destroying everything.
I have tried custom roms, i have even built my own with my own tweaks and i have come to the conclusion that the best
rom cooking is stock on everything, rooted, with tweaked gps.conf and adfree hosts file. Yep simple with no de odexing or zipaliging
as i am lazy p)
Now the problem is, i dont know what firmware should i install... Every version as its bugs so i would like to know if you xperia l veterans know
the best build.
Im looking for snappyness: best ram management, and speed.
The less bugs the better but give priority to snappiness...
I would also like a good camera but i think every build sucks on that...
I hope you guys can help...
thanks

I believe the latest version is always the best. It comes with some bug fixes (not all though, but something is better than nothing). Sony makes some improvements with the feedback they get and thus tries to remove those bugs. Take camera for example, the latest version has far better camera than some previous versions.
So I think the latest version with root and xposed framework is the best.
Are you sure? Cause i heard somewhere that this update has worst ram management thats why i talked about it in the thread...

See every rom has its pros and cons. I am a normal user and thus don't find the ram management to be poor. However, it might be poor, but the camera is better than previous one. So depends on the user as well.

What is the current state of RAM management on the S6?

Hey, I'm considering buy a S6 or an S6 edge but one of the things I'm worried about is the problems with RAM. I've read a lot about problems with RAM management on the S6 with it not able to keep apps running in the background. I can foresee this being very annoying. From what I've read on these forums, I know that people started editing DHA/FHA values and that custom ROMs seem to have helped a lot.
I did however read some recent posts which said that these fixes didn't work and the phones slowed down after a while and still had bad multitasking. I wasn't able to find a place where all the information about RAM fixes was collated so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction or tell me that with modding the S6, does the multitasking and ram management become usable? Or is there still significant problems with how the memory is handled?
I think you answered your question yourself.
There are a lot of threads in this forum about that topic and that si where you mostr probably got your information from. So need to open another one.
In the end you want an answer if to buy or not to buy (I know everybody would want that) but nobody cant do that.
It's your decision!
Skip the S6 IMO, the moto x or the new nexus will be a better choice at this point in time.
It's supposedly fixed (7-10 apps can multi-task) with the newest OH1 update pushed a couple of days ago.

Yes but is it still aggressively killing apps?

from zv7 to latest on ls996, worth it?

hey guys need your help figuring out if its worth updating my ls996 from its current zv7 to the latest update. currently i am rooted and running quite a few mods and i am pretty happy with the way i have it, but i guess my question is, any advantages on updating? gain in speed or battery life? from personal experience would you recommend updating or holding off until the possible android 6 update? i mean what changes have been made to the firmware since zv7? also one other thing i'd like to ask would be, how are you guys overclocking or i should say what are you guys using? particular app? i gotta say im pretty lucky, my device after i had to switch it out with sprint due to overheating, turns out the one i got in return came out solid, does have the snapdragon 810, never really had any issues with overheating, which is why im considering overclocking.... any help or opinions are greatly appreciated.
