Hi, I have a Galaxy Nexus locked to O2 UK just bought, do you think where could I have it unlocked? I need it asap to work on Vodafone.

I think it's a bit too early to say. Generally speaking you can do it... but u have to wait a little bit that things came out.l

Sorry to be off topic...but how do you like the phone? Does USB mass storage work? Give us something!!

Sorry for the late reply but I was busy unlocking it. I have literally tried all unlock sites and no joy. Galaxy Nexus: It is my first Android and is hard to evaluate it comparing previous version of Android. I like the feeling having it in hand, although the plastic is not so great comparing with iphone it is still better than other Samsung phones. Being used with iPhone the menu could be a bit demanding but I think that this would be good after all. The display is great and this is the thing that made me change the iPhone. I didn't test USB mas storage yet. Sorry.

After several attempts to unlock my phone, I've got 5 refunds from different specialized websites. (some of them prompt others after claiming it) Finally, this morning, as previously promised in an earlier email, samsungimeiunlock announced me that they have the code. Now my phone is unlocked, the whole thing took 10 minutes.

The only place to buy a Nexus in the US is Verizon. Verizon uses CDMA technology, not GSM. That phone WILL NOT work in India!! Don't do it!

Can you please provide some sort of proof that a stock ls997 is unlocked by default?
As shown in my video they are NOT unlocked from factory.

My fault - missed the video and was confused thinking that you are offering similar trick to famous switch to Lab Network mode via Hidden_menu apk.
Now everything is clear - you really offer the right and true SIM unlock via direct radio flash of unlocked one. So - I'm in if there are still free slots left

I ended up buying the unlock service on ebay. Make sure you look for one that can do the newest versions.

Sprint Galaxy s8 sim unlock

Hey there, I want to sim unlock this Gs8 I got from Sprint, Model: Sm-G950U , Software version: G950USQS2BQL1, I received an unlock code but was not able to input the code because it just said sim error contact sprint immediately, Unlocking by sprint isn't a choice as they extorted money out of me, I really want my galaxy s8 to be in service again any Idea where to start? Any help will be much appreciated , I come from a background of good software knowledge so other approaches are good too.

Does your phone asks for codes or not?
If it doesn't ask for code you can try the following 3 methods, however, they are not 100% guarantee to work:
Method #1: Go to the dial screen on your phone as if you are going to make a call and press #7465625*638*# Once prompted for code, enter the 8 digit Unlock Code.
Method #2: Go to the dial screen on your phone as if you are going to make a call and press: #7465625*638*UNLOCKCODE#
Method #3: Go to the dial screen on your phone as if you are going to make a call and press: #0111*UNLOCKCODE#
If none of these work, also check if your phone's IMEI is clean and not reported or blacklisted by Sprint.

Sprint phones are usually unlocked one of two ways and neither has anything to do with a code. One is via Sprint with an OTA thing. The other is via root + a 3rd party tool like z3x, Octopus, or something similar.

You might have to unlock it because verizon comes factory unlocked thats why it worked

I bought the phone from someone and thought it would work but I was trusting instead of smart.. Should've checked it out first. Anyways im negative a couple hundred $$ and I would love if some one would be able to help guide me through unlocking the SIM and if necessary rooting etc. To make it work for my Metro PCS account. In short I need to be able to I assume "SIM unlock" my S8 and hope it'll just be ready to pop my metro SIM into it and it works. Any advice? Will it work if I can just unlock it and use my metro SIM? Or since its an the lease hadnt been fully paid will that be a problem... Ive checked on a couple sites that let you see the IMEI number and if its black listed but it isn't... Please help.

Correct. It IS an advertisement - and not a very good one. He obviously has no knowledge of phones whatsoever if he thinks that Sprint devices use codes

I too have a Sprint phone which I wanted to unlock with the help of information here on the site. Since you won't be able to use unlock codes, and also bcause when I called Sprint they wouldn't help me -told me to contact the seller of the phone to have it unlocked, I was desperate for any unlocking method. Hard to find a working one and didn't want to waste too much time (old Galaxy S5 was already at it's last breath) I made contact with one of the unlockers here on XDA and one was able to unlock it remotely for me. I did pay $15 but with the crappy internet I have and since most unlocking sites are asking $39 for unlocking S8 then I really didn't mind this $15. Took well over a few hours to do since I had to download combination file for my phone which took a while. It's unlocked now thanx to vosi7en here at xda. I do have 1 problem now and that's tethering.....I don't have the option to do any hotspots. Anyone have an idea? I can't root yet cuz I'm on latest Oreo now.

I'm not sure what a "tmobile for vzw sim" is. But you might need to remove the Sprint bloatware in order for it to work properly

Any thougth on why VZW always roams and does not connect to data? Tmobile appears to work..

Unlocking my S8 to use with T-Mobile

Hello,
I have called Sprint many times, after they keep telling me it is unlocked domestically and internationally, I finally gave up. The phone simply says to contact sprint to unlock. I have no idea what to do. When I press UCCI Unlock it gives me an internal error(407). I tried flashing unlocked firmware (U1) But it does not work on that either. Tried booting up with T-Mobile sim inside, still same result. What to do?
Please help!

What is your phone's IMEI status in Sprint's database?

Maybe that Sprint representative didn't tell you all about your phone.
Also, is this T-Mobile SIM, the one you are trying to use, activated?

I got mine sim unlocked
My sprint galaxy s8 i took to a cell phone shop to be unlocked. They charged me $50 ( I know it's high) but in using it with total wireless right now. Everytime I put a different carrier sim in, it takes it and changes my splash screen to whatever sim it is. So much better not being locked down to sprint.

just pay someone to unlock it, I snagged a sprint locked s8 from a guy for 100$.. paid a guy on offer up 30$ to unlock it through team viewer and had it working in T-Mobile in 20mins with great LTE speeds

That's how I got mine.. I bought mine from facebooks marketplace though for $90 off some 18 year old kid and then paid the $50 to the store to unlock it the other day. Beats paying the $850 the store wants for one that's not even unlocked. Best money I've ever spent lol

TMB now can be unlock by reading codes from server

I can help if you got access to computer and can follow simple instructions. What's your baseband and firmware?

Unlocked Sprint phone still won't activate
Got an S8 from my brother after he spent a very long time getting Sprint to unlock the phone. I removed the security and did a factory reset, but it shows a message that it is locked and to contact Sprint. I took it into Metro PCS and they couldn't get it to work - the guy said he hasn't had much luck with Sprint phones.
I entered the IMEI into Sprint's database and it comes back with a "CLEAN" report. Why won't this phone activate? Shouldn't I be able to just put my Metro PCS sim in it and go?

If it were actually unlocked, then yes.
Well, no, I take that back. Even if it were unlocked, you still have to contact Metro to have them manually activate it. You can't activate a new phone on Metro simply by putting the SIM in.
But if you're seeing a message that says it's locked, then obviously Sprint didn't unlock it, which is a very common occurrence these days. Thankfully, there are other ways to get it done

Could I take you up on that offer? My phone is on boost mobile, got it now from Swappa. I have experience flashing and using Odin from an old grand prime.

I'm trying to unlock my S8 running android v9 as well, every search leads to a service and i'm just trying to do it manually. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If by "manually", you actually mean "free", you're not going to find that. You would either need to buy the necessary tools, or find a friend who has them

Issue with Sprint SIM locked Z Flip

Hi guys.
First let me say that I really wanted a Z Flip. There was only network that had any in shock. That was with Sprint. I love the phone buts Sprints network is HORRIBLE. The Z Flip is on a lease and I have no issue continuing the Sprint network agreement but I want to use it on the VZW network. There are no SIM rck codes to unlock. Even the companies that remote into your machine told me they could not unlock the Z Flip.
I tried flashing the XAA build with a Verizon SIM but it keeps telling me the OADM server is rejecting my request to change carrier. My phone has a grayed out eSIM with a valid IMEI. Is it legal to change the IMEI and will the new IMEI allow me to use on VZW?
Sorry. I don't mean to break any rules. I just desperately want it off the Spring network.

Nope. The Z Flip on Sprint does not use an unlock code. No company that unlock phones has been able to assist. I'm now working with Sprint to get an exception due to my situation. I also have a couple C-Suite email I may use if this fails. C-Suite folks have dedicated CSR's that can do a lot more than a typical CSR. The Sprint network is simply awful. I can't use this phone outside of WiFi. I get .6 mb down and 0.0 up. Not very useful. I love the phone though.

I saw that but not ready to spend 175 and reviews are spotty. I sent emails to at least 5 unlocking company's that slist they support unlock the on all Sprint Samsung phones and they all said "Not at this time" I don't really trust that eBay seller if no one else can do this.

He is very expensive but does unlocked the device. like i said he unlock my and is working with att now

He got connected right away pulled down the firmware, had me go into download mode got into my phone then said he will get back to me. Was this your experience? About how long did it take for him to get back to you?

It took him about 4 hrs to get the unlocked done has he grab the file. he will download some larges files (2) then once those files are done it will take him about 40 minutes to get the device unlocked. Please let me know how it when for you

Yes. He was able to unlock my Z Flip. He probably spent 6 hours over 24 but its now up and working fine on VZW. I watched him and he did do a ton of stuff to get it working.

mandy-2254 is the user on eBay. Helped me Sunday and a good part of Monday. Highly recommended. If you need to move your Flip off Sprint, and the HORRIBLE Sprint network and your UICC locked and SIM unlock its 175 right now.
