Does anyone know how to disable to magnet screen off/on?
When the cover case is flipped open or close, the screen turns on off automatically.
I would like to disable that.
I have a third party case.
I tried un checking the option in Device ---> Accessories without any success.
Any app or xposed mod?
Haven't found one.
Wanam's Xposed module has the option too but it is ineffective on the Note Pro.
Or get another type of cover like the Logitech case. That does not shut off the screen when closed.

I have a third party flip cover on my s7. It looks exactly the same as the official. The settings, I believe under accessories, for s view is automatically hidden, because the official flip cover has a chip in the cover which activates the setting.
My question: Is there any bypass so S View works on third party flipcovers? The setting is there, it only needs to be activated.

I had an issue with an official not working and found out when I debloated my phone, the NFC stuff got wiped. If your NFC doesn't work then the s-window wouldn't either

Well, what I am looking for is more the setting for S View. So I can manually activate it. I have seen it under Marshmallow and under Nougat it's hidden. It's too bad I can't post an image, because I am new.
I tried to activate NFC, it works but nothing S View related.

For some reason mine doesn't work even though I don't have any PIN code setup or pattern or whatever. I don't use the fingerprint sensor either. So no security feautures set up as of right now. I've also checked the checkmark in the Edge Sense settings that says "enable Edge Sense when sreen is off".

My U11 plus Edge Sense works when screen is off, I use it for the camera when I see something I want to snap and long squeeze for the Edge launcher shortcut.

Is your proximity sensor is block by anyway (like screen protection) ? Mine doesn't work if proximity sensor is blocked

Yes you are right. That's probably the reason why. I still use that screen protection layer that came with the phone. I will remove it ASAP.

Today Samsung release official good lock for S7 Users.
Install latest good lock app from below. Its working fine in S7 (SM-G930FD)

Added new switches for the data saver and the power saving mode in the simple indicator.
2. Task changer-
Added a setting function for users who prefer to have the middle of the running app.
Added blur background effect setting function.
3. Clock face-
Improved visibility about analog clocks.
Changed layout and battery position about digital horizontal clock. In order to prevent burn-in, high-brightness images were replaced with dark images.
4. Samsung Experience Home - Add Portrait mode. Working home screen and apps drawer in landscape mode like S9

1. Install betternet VPN
2. Force stop Galaxy Apps
3. Delete files and cache for Galaxy Apps
4. Turn of phone.
5. Remove Sim
6. Turn on phone without Sim
7. Connect to vpn with betternet.
8. Open Galaxy Apps
9. Open Good lock 2018.
After install all apps for good lock 2018, insert Sim.

I don't see potrait mode in Samsung home after update.
Hi. I'm using Routines on my S7 edge. I made a task to open Waze when my phone is connected on BT with my car radio. Works fine... even on my Helmet BT Sena.
But... the trouble is that I can't do the inverse... close Waze when BT is disconnected....
I don't see the actions both on "condition (BT disconnect) " and "Action (Close app)"

You need root and a good app like macrodroid, AutomateIt or Tasker (there are even more apps to archive that) to do this. But with these apps you will get a real "smart phone" [emoji106]

the app i using is NFC tools
when i enter the menu to set it up i get a message
"Due to android system updates this task seem not to be working anymore ofrom and android 8.0
we are trying to find a solution "
any help on what i need to do next

I think it's the same reason you can't toggle Bluetooth with your phone locked anymore, they disabled it for security purposes.
Android KitKat: you can do cray stuff with nfc, I buy four glass-tags from China and put two in my left arm/hand.
Feels like cyberpunk unlocking the phone with the touch of my wrist. (Sony Xperia Z2 _without_ fingerprint sensor).
Android lollipop: nfc limited to Funktion only when phone when is on, unlocking feels less cool because I have to push a button bevor touching the wrist.
Android O: Google removed NFC unlock completely. Wtf, thx google.
