ok guys another weird issue here.
been running BR 1.6.3 for a while and finally got everything where I like it except now every time i reboot:
1. Facebook adjusts itself to "Do Not Sync". it sucks having to go through 60 contacts and link them all again
2. HTC (and a few other) Countdown widgets show up as "Problem Loading Gadget"
ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling facebook as well as clearing user data and signing in again. no luck there. Ive tried clearing dalvik cache, also no luck there. i tried copying the .apk's for the widgets and while they overwrote OK, it didnt solve anything.
should i do a clean wipe and flash BR again? id hate to go through all that setup and tweaking just to have nothing work again. kind of stumped here and search really didnt turn anything relevant up.
thanks in advance!
PS wont be needing my phone in 10 days (joining the Navy, hence the countdown lol) but in the meantime connecting with friends is a big deal since i wont be seeing them for about 8 months...please help!
well im an idiot.
solution:
make sure facebook and countdown widgets are not on SD card. problem solved.
i had changed my default install location to SD, i'll be leaving that as auto for now haha.
was also happening to me too
Hello all,
I have Samsung Galaxy Nexus, running CM 10.2.0. I had no problems until about 2 weeks ago.
I noticed that my phone got rather sluggish and I investigated what is going on. Looking at the list of running apps I immediately noticed that Google Play Services is using 130MB of memory instead of usual 30-40MB. By looking inside details of that process, I can see that the culprit is android.process.acore, which is using 84MB.
Similarly, looking at memory footprint using application OS Monitor, I see Search Applications Provider sitting on top of the memory usage list with 108.2 MB.
Restarting the phone gets everything back to normal for a while. I can trigger this problem reliably by going into Dialer app and calling someone. But even if I am not calling anyone, this issue seems to come back by itself. I am not sure, but maybe contacts synchronization?
It seems like Search/Contact provider is not releasing the resources and gets stuck.
What I tried so far:
-> freezing Search Applications Provider with Titanium backup. This solves the issue, but I lose Google Now functionality, which I would really like to keep using :/
-> deleting Search Applications Provider data - problem persisted
-> deleting Contacts and Contact Storage data - problem persisted
-> Disabled all categories that Search should be indexing in the phone - problem persisted
Please advise how to solve this issue. I have searched this forum, went through a lot of threads, but all I found was acore crashing, not acore using too much memory.
p.s. I am not an newbie, I know my way around android, linux, programming, debugging etc.
Thanks.
No one ? Please help, this is still an issue.
Hi. So lately Gmail and google search have been crashing whenever something tries to activater sync the apps. I have uninstalled the xposed framework and they stopped behaving like that. I have Greenwich, amplify, YouTube add away, Snapchat full.caption modules. I am running on Android 4.4.2. I have already tried erasing the cache things and uninstalling the apps updates.
Other thing that's happening to my cellphone is that it only charges when is turned off. But I don't if that's related to it since it started happening after the Google apps thin. So what can I do to fix it?

It's not solving the issue of battery draining..
It seems like it solves the contacts slowness but the battery draining is huge!

Same issue
Started several days ago.
LG G4 contacts very slow to find a name. When answering a call, only number displayed without a name.
Viewed device CPU per app and the contacts storage app (android.process.acore) consuming ~15% CPU almost all the time.
Have no idea what happened but phone quite useless, as searching for contacts takes very long time.
Anyone has an idea what to do or what happened?
Sad to face problem with the primary usage of a phone - contact and calling

Try this: Remove accounts from accounts and sync from settings which you are not using. Mostly you might have lot of google accounts linked to your mobile use your primary account and if there are some accounts which you are not using please remove it or sync limited google apps with those apart from primary account.

Why do you want to make a new thread and not want to continue here ?
As title says , Gmail doesn't send any notifications when i receive Emails unless i open the app and manually refresh , which causes may issues as it's Business Mail
i tried many solutions (Dose thing using ADB , Turning all notificaions settings on , Clearing Data , Factory reset phone , Deleted Gmail using ADB and reinstalled it again via Play store) but none worked , the Gmail app isn't there in Battery optimization settings and not in auto launch settings in Color Os 12.1 (idk why , guess it's considered as system app)
Please if anyone got any idea about how to solve this issue , if i couldn't solve it then i will have to sell the Phone and i don't want to do so cuz i really like it ..
This was happening to me too, when it did I figured a workaround: go google play > Gmail, click uninstall and it will uninstall to original version of gmail comes with the patch. Now disable auto update for Gmail. clear data and cache. It works properly as long as you don't let it update again. I used it like that for a year. It just annoys you to click ignore every time you update other apps from store.
side-note: Later when I completely wiped my phone, it got working properly with the updated versions again. I think an old update brakes it while applying.
