How to root Sony Xperia Z5? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Anyone try to root this awesome device?

Come on, its not even out until next month.

<humour>
forget root, is it too early to start complaining about how slow the updates are for this device...???
</humour>

@abhishe11sharma You're a bit premature on this. Lets wait for it to release... and there is a working root:silly:
Next time please post your questions in the Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section.

[Completed] Bootloops on FX Trinity kernal Xperia Z1

Whosoever thought, forbidding noobs with less than 10 messages to post on development threads is a genius. In a backwards way of course.
So yes, This is the second time I got bootloops, works fine for an hour, then goes into bootloops, dalvik/cache deletion doesn't help.
@FXTrinity, learntocodeplstnx
Hi there,
The idea behind the 10 post rule is to stop spammers and only allow people who need/want to post in the development sections.
Regarding your bootloop issue, I'd suggest posting your question in Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
You may have to flash a new kernel to get out of it, but ask in the link above and users with the phone will have more of an idea on how to help you out!

[Completed] Need Help Rooting, Reward Offered

Hey guys, I recently bought a Verison Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V) and im not any sort of expert at rooting. I rooted my last device with Geo's Towelroot but my device isnt supported now. If anyone could walk me through the steps of getting this S5 rooted ill be more than happy to pay you a small fee for the help. I would really like to get this thing rooted today so I can get rid of all of this bloatware. Ill pay through Paypal or however you would prefer within reason. Ill need someone to pretty much walk me through this step by step using skype or some other way of communicating. Phone call would work aswell. Id greatly appreciate some help with this. I will be monotoring this thread until I get someone to help. Thanks for your time mates
Hi,
I suggest you read as much of this thread on the subject as you can. Specifically the opening post perhaps and the last several pages to read the latest discussion on this,
> Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Verizon Galaxy S 5 General > Status on Root/Custom Recovery/Bootloader
You can join that discussion as well.
Any more questions on this device can go in your devices Q&A section, here...
> Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
There's many other threads in that section asking about root methods, you should have a look.
And please, don't offer money for help on XDA. That's not what this site is about. It won't get you quicker, better or easier help.... It will likely just get your post flamed. ?
Good luck!

Hey, thanks man. My offer still stands though. Thumbed through that thread and as of right now im not sure it can be rooted or what and i hate searching and searching through forums to find stuff, so if anyone has a 100% sure way of rooting my device and can walk me through it, there is a reward^^
You can ask in the section I linked last.
And you can offer a reward, but that's not what XDA is about, and some may pass you by based on the very notion. Just some friendly advise.
Thank you, thread closed.

Hi,
Here is a dedicated thread for your device. It claims root and recovery are available for your device. I'd read post one very carefully. Then read the last several pages for the most current discussions. If you have questions, you can ask for help there too...
> General discussion > Questions and Answers > New Galaxy Avant... We have root and a recovery!! Let get some cool ROMs now
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] AOSP can somebody explain this please

Hi, I'm interested in flashing my xperia z3 with a custom firmware that removes the bloatware from the xperia firmware. I understand it can do this with Sony's AOSP.
Can anybody explain what this is exactly please?
also, I cant seem to find any detailed update notes for this, is the only way to know the stability and functionality of the builds to actually flash your device?
Thanks
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Please note that XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. I can see that you've been posting in the Z3 device forum in the past, please continue to do so for any future questions you may have about your phone. Please also make use of the search feature on XDA, any question you could think of has almost definitely been asked and answered before. Please standby while we have your thread moved to the Z3 q&a section:
Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Hello there! Welcome to XDA!...
you can start by letting us know your device model?
then register an XDA account (so you can ask in the proper forum)
try asking here: (You will have a much better chance of getting help there)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help
or
Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
but let us know your device model... maybe there is an specific thread for you instead...
