As the title say's there is no sound on loud speaker no sound on earphones nor on the speaker for talking. It started today, there was sound this morning and no sound now. It is e2115 with 4.4.4 Kit Kat. Build number is 24.0.B.5.14. I have tried every thing I could find on the internet. Restarting with earphones and without, in safe mode and regular, removing sd card, using music volume eq, playing music in chrome, Walkman (default app), VLC player and in-game music. Phone is rooted (kingroot and terminal hack to change su app to supersu). I haven't done factory reset yet because I don't think it would work. If I were to do it I would be unrooting it too.
To me it looks like software problem because all if the speakers stopped working simultaneously. Also I have tried Sony diagnostics and tests failed.
Edit: At best you can hear crack(l)ing (if you glue your ear to speakers (both top and loud)). Walkman registers (pauses) when I unplug earphones (tested two of them)

Hmm ... I prefer hearing music on low volume.
But you can try [APP] Official ViPER4Android Audio Effects (FX v2.3.4.0) - Lollipop support and more!.
Many users report that it has a volume boosting effect on headphones.
First you may have to disable/uninstall the root booster xposed module to get the headphones work again - like before.
If you have further questions about Viper4Android, you can ask in the corresponding Q&A thread.
If you need help about your device, best to ask in the Galaxy Grand 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD][NOOB FRIENDLY] Ask Any Questions by jackeagle.
You just have to register on xda before.

Ok, so unrooting and factory reset did nothing, but sony pc companion solved it.
It was a software issue so repair with PC Companion (Support Zone -> Under "Phone/Tabled Software Update" click Start -> Repair my phone and follow instructions) fixed it.
Of course all data was wiped so that's a down side.
If anybody knows what caused it and what could fix it in a neater way please share it here.

Hi! I have a rather tricky problem. I have a cheap Andoid tablet and I use it as a car head unit. The problem is that it reboots every time I play music, no matter what app I use (Media player, tunein radio, fm radio etc).
The output I used is made by solderind two wires to the + and - of the tablet's loudspeaker and thru an amplifier to the car's speakers.
The tablet does not reboot when the amp is not connected.
Please help me!

Hi radu.toganel
Thank you for using XDA Assist
By your description is clear that the amplifier is, someway, returning a voltage to the tablet what should not occur and, as a safeguard, it reboots. As your set up is very unique, I would suggest you consult a specialized professional that could measure and correct the problem
If any other questions regarding Android system remains, I will ask you to address our experts at the below forum that may be able to help you. Please be welcome to post over in there.

Hello, I am posting the most mysterious problem I have ever had on android. Since I bought my phone, as I plug an old jack (with 2 rings) either it works well, or it just pauses impossible to listen to music as if the phone detected a support On the button pause of the earphone except that it is the enclosure of my car and that there is no button on the cable, the same happens when I plug it has a hifi. Having understood that the phone receives a phantom signal that tells him to pause it, I went into my pro player and I deactivated the support of the earphone and instead the music does not cut but only alternates between The loudspeakers of my phone and those of my car. It must come from a software conflict because it does not do it all the time, if it happens sometimes I rekindle and it works perfectly and sometimes it does not change anything. Has anyone ever had this problem? I found nothing on the net. And would there be a way to make android ignore these signals because it makes me crazy? When I use a recent jack (3 rings, my ipod earphone for example) everything works perfectly.
Please help me i'm
desperate

Hello.
earlier i always used a handsfree without a mic and when i used to listen to songs in it, it came out exactly like it was recorded.
But when i use a handsfree with a mic, the music is very faint and the lyrics are a little louder than the music.
The only way to make the some come as it is is by pressing the mic button, then the music and lyrics are both of the correct loudness.
This might sound a little weird but i couldn't explain it in any other way.
So my question is, can i use Viper or any other mod to make the song play with the correct loudness( or whatever quality it is, im not a native English speaker) without pressing the mic button?

well this ain't the problem with just one device.
i experienced it with lg g4, Lenovo b, galaxy s5, etc.
Currently I'm using the original handsfree that came with the Lenovo device.
It's like the music is of lesser loudness than the lyrics, unless the mic button is kept pressed.

It still helps to know which handsfree device you're using. Asking about the android you're using was because the available options to fix this are going to be determined by the device(s) in question and their software/settings and system, even if it comes to modifying something, details about the android device will determine what and where you modify.
The "how to" for one device may not be the same "how to" for a different device.
