Battery drain overnight - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
overnight my phone lost 11% of battery, went to sleep and it was at 100%, "killed" all the apps and no WiFi or Bluetooth on or data, I'm running the latest official version of CM, no changes made or kernel as well...
Does anyone the reason of this massive drain when on idle??
Thank you

Battery drains fast

Have no clue why. Display eats up 48% of battery... then comes xda aap? Ihave it set to 1ghz max 200 min with proton voltage at 25 under each prefered level.! Im using nscollab with netarchy kernal......
Even as i type and use my phone it like to go down percents. I took off my phone off charge at 130 am used heavily till 330 and was at 75% or below. I woke up at 820 am startesusing phone and 45 mins after playing around itdrained from 63% to 48%??
Ive had alot of android phones but none like this.....any ideas guys?
Edit* i dont have the ns collab radio flashed either...just on case i wanted to try other roms.

Battery Drain while sleeping

I fully charged the phone to 100% and turned it on at 7:45 then I went back to sleep. I woke up at 10 to see the phone at 95%! Now, I'm currently using the Anker battery & I'm running on ARHD 3.6.13 with faux123 v0.2.8 kernel. The brightness is at its lowest & auto-sync is off. What should I do?
I recommend using Battery monitor widget Pro to see how much mA is phone using during sleep and when screen's on. Then install Better Battery Stats ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 ) and figure out, what is eating your energy
also, try undervolting

What's undervolting?
Undervolt makes your cpu use less energy. for undervolting try using system tuner pro or faux clock (here's link for faux's RootzWiki: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/4550-app09-beta-snapdragon-dual-core-oc-control/ ) But be aware that not every CPU handles heavy undervolting well. Do nandroid backup, then Start with -25mV.

edit
Try changing cpu governor to intellidemand (faux's kernel default) and min speed for cpu to 192. It may slightly improve battery life.

Hi,
When I was on 3.6.x,it was suggested that I try a Bricked kernel, which you can find HERE
I am not sure which one,but they tended to be more battery friendly than faux.
Read the thread.

increasing battery life?

I've heard of battery calibration, how do you do it? also Im using faux's kernel with it coming with uv, but perhaps should I go lower than that until I find a voltage that keeps my phone going, if I use lower the voltage will it affect my performance at all? perhaps any suggestions on what i should make the voltage. btw im using cm7 nightly/faux's kernel.
I would use the ds faux kernel and undervolt the bottom numbers (anything below 900) to 750. Test what works and is stable. Also set a screen off profile that makes pit at 300 something.
Fairly heavy use and I got 13 hours today.
And battery calibration is a myth.

Check this reguarding battery calibration.

If you have corrupt battery stats they can affect battery.
after changing voltage i lose the reading on my battery and it says 999% in setcpu lol.
also how long can i expect to play gta III until battery running out on nightly cm7/trinity with max ghz set to 1 and -150 voltage from max on every mhz other than 432/216 and no wifi and lowest brightness

[Q] How long does your battery last?

Why is it that my battery drains super fast without doing anything just a simple text conversation and a couple of minutes playing candy crush? My brightness is set to low (almost lowest). Is it my battery too old?
I discharged 59% in 2 hours and 35 mns.
I suppose you have just flashed a ROM!
ROM info please.
In alpha9 with zram enabled you can set the max cpu to 600 without loose performance and that extend a lot the battery life. Just a suggestion

How do you do that? By the way, i flashed operation killjoy and i set my freq. there as 300-1000 ghz thru terminal emulator. How to do this zram? are you sure that i will lose 400 mhz and performace will not be affected?
For enable zram: Settings/performance/memory management/ enable zram 18%. I always flash killjoy too but dont use cputuner only entro_on. You can enable zram in CM or Remics7.1 and yes you can lower 400 mhz without loose performance, just try and you'll feel by yourself.
Obiously for some tasks like play heavy games is better to set the max mhz but for the rest 600 is more than enough.

I think it is the rom eating up the battery. Clean flash the rom again or flash a new one Use root uninstaller to remove unwanted apps. Use a battery saver utility.

It is posible to be the ROM that drain your battery so fast , not long time ago the battery drain was a problem for me to because i use to play games..a lot! ,after i flashed all custom ROM's and tested them,i found one that for our device i think it is smooth ,fast ,good for gaming and so so battery friendly .For example just now After 1h of CSR Racing, 45 mins of Asphalt 8 Adrenaline and 30 mins of Most Wanted ,30 mins of calls and some wifi ,i still have 15% and i have 1d2h28 min on battery..This without any tweak ,display set on auto.

CPU usage

Does anyone tell me why my phone runs at the highest frequency?
Even with all apps closed and even after restarting it. Also the WiFi consumes battery when its turned off.
