I just updated my phone to M preview 3 build MPA44I. Since then its been showing no SIM most of the time. Every time I have to reboot and its gets fixed. But within a few minutes its back to No SIM again.
Any one else facing the same issue or can I anyone suggest any solutions?
Thanks in advance.

No. I haven't tried reverting it. Can't I keep the M preview 3?

Then how did you narrow it down?

Well, I did not have this issue when I was on M preview 2. So....

Anyone else having issues with swiftkey staying at default? I know there was an issue when you reboot the phone, the keyboard would reset but, it happens when the screen is off or the phone goes into deep sleep.
Was wondering if anyone knows of a fix??

Sorry cannot reproduce. Been using swift key every since i got the phone and not had any problems keeping it as a default, even after rebooting.
That happened to me on KK as well as JB. I simply disable the stock keyboard in Settings.

That's weird... You think GravityBox could be causing it? That's the only "modifications" I've made.
I've tried the official release and the new beta release and still have the same problems.

It could be as I don't have that Mod installed.

They fixed it on JB but I'll try that and see what happens.

My phone updated the Camera app yesterday and right after the back camera stopped working. The front camera works, but as soon as I try to switch to the back camera it gives me the Can't connect to camera message. I tried rolling back the update and trying again, and it still wont work. Any tips?
Wipe data on the app?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Same problem...it doesn't even give me a back camera option.
This is what usually happens when the camera module goes faulty.
This is what I'd do (in order)
1) factory reset
2) flash factory images
3) RMA
If you're not comfortable with 2, don't do it. Skip to 3

Same thing.
Tried installing cyanogenmog. Nothing changes. Could the problem be with the physical connection?

Yes it could which is why you should follow my steps. I didn't advise them for no reason

Steps 1 and 2 didn't work.
I don't know how to execute step 3, since I live in Croatia (bought the phone from the Google Play Store in California) and there is no support here.
Any other tips?

Are you sure you did step 2? Because your mentioned Cyanogen after I gave the 3 steps, which isn't a factory image.
If you've flashed the factory images as per this location:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
And you still have the issue, it needs to be repaired. I can't tell you how that is done in Croatia

Uninstall the update and see if the problem persists.

That is the location I downloaded the stock image rom and ran the process. Looks like I'll have to figure out how to get it to Goolge.
Thanks so much for the help!

I have the same problem, but it works when i restart the phone.. also I have the camera-app-battary-drain-bug
After one year with this phone I am starting having problems with it. The phone is almost constantly rebooting. Usually it reboots itself a few times in a middle of the loading screen.
I've changed multiple roms, wiped everything, the problem is still here. Same thing is if i reboot into safe mode. Random restarts, upgrading apps and so on.
Latest twrp.
Any idea ?
Change your kernel...or have you installed a new app recently?

Could be the power button going faulty like many on here have had

Have you tried a factory reset?
Hi, i have had my nexus 5 for about 1 year now. Over that last few months i have been experiencing really bad slow downs and lags for no apparent reason. This can happen randomly when doing certain tasks such as turning on my phones wifi or when there is low battery, or unplugging my device from the mains. This problem persisted in stock lollipop and in the cyanogen mod 12.1 nighties (which i am currently on). I do not remember having this issue in kitkat... When my device lags, i have to wait anywhere from 15 secs to 5 mins before it returns back to normal. i have tried factory resetting but this does not help... please help

Instead of erasing partitions when flashing the factory img, format them.

Thanks for the reply...but what do you mean format the factory.IMG? I flashed via twep, and clear portions every time. I booted into twep and cleared the dalvick and cache but the problem persists!
Thanks

Anyone???
Anyone now?
I have been on an early version of CM 11 forever and never had any problems until a few days ago my screen rotation stopped. I tried toggling auto rotate on and off with no luck. I rebooted the phone many times with no luck. I even updated to 11.0-XNPH05Q with no luck. Any body have any suggestions on what to try here? Thanks
Anything?
What if I clear the device cache?
Your best bet is to update to COS 1.3.1.1 with lastest firmware.

Would that erase any of my data and settings? I am quite content with my OS as it is now but I will update if I know it will fix it.

I wont lose anything by upgrading that much right? That's like 2 whole versions of Cyanogen ahead of where I am at now.
You should not, just by updating, if you are completely stock.

Not sure why screen rotation issues started, but I guarantee it is a firmware issue. I remember CM11S had screen rotation issues but then. But updating to COS 13.1.1 will also update you to lastest firmware and should fix your issues.

The update did fix my issues. I just am new having a few other issues with the new OS like my LTE isn't working and my BG Tube app is glitchy in background playback. But thank you for helping me solve the screen rotation issue.

Yeah. Signal was better on KK and LP. Old firmware did better with signal. I still get LTE, but it was better on older firmwares. As far as YouTube app, not sure. But glad you screen rotation is working ?
