Beta testers wanted/feature request thread

Hi,
I'm going to release a new rom based on stock rom very soon. However before I release I want to send it to a small group of beta testers to ensure it doesn't have problems.
I would prefer if you know how to use logcat and know how to send me a logcat file, as well as knowing how to make nandroid backups (and restoring them where necessary ). It would also help if you can follow instructions
If you're interested, please do PM me. Include your phone model (P920 or P925) so I can keep track of phone-specific problems.
As for the feature request bit, comment on what features you would like. I will try not to deviate from the stock rom (v21D in this case) by too much, so I won't do any theming. Don't ask me to solve GC issues, I can't do that. Neither can I make ICS for us. I'm not a kernel hacker either. However, any reasonable feature request should be posted here and I'll see what I can do. Don't bet on every suggestion being included though
Good!!! i am anticipating to see your work!!! btw, i really need a function to tweak the cpu voltage to save battery as i find the battery really drain very fast!!! This is my suggestion, thankyou

I can't do that, it's kernel related and I have no experience with it. Maybe when I have time I'll try to learn.

Hi,
2 things desperately needed --
Internet Pass Through (like HTC devices so that the PC internet can be used on the O3D)
USB on the go
would love to see that in your ROM --

[Q]Who I can ask permission to post a rom if not who would belong?

Sorry if I bother, but I have a question, with the help of some users here that helped me with goodly number of questions I had and managed to visually modify a rom version is "cm7.2 rc5.5 Full" Here I was in the development forum, but I place no longer there, and not to user belonged to him, and searched here in the forum without any result, so do not know who to ask permission to post it, I could do? I have no problems with anyone here, so and preferred to ask here, maybe someone can help me once again to share my achievements
PS: Sorry for my English
could you be more clear???first tell which rom is it.......and what is the prob????
Well, this is CyanogenMod 7.2 RC 5.5 Full, can not remember which user was the post, but I think he had problems when they released the RC version 6, and therefore stopped working, the problem is not whether there is a problem if I post this rom with my modifications, really are not many but I like to share, but not who owns the rom :/ ... and if necessary ask permission to post it, but who? if not who owned the post
well thats a tough one..........his name was ankkdroid try to contact him but he is a bit angry but try he comes online mostly everyday..........
knew that this angry, some users did not reclaim more than ... I like the work you did with this rom, will try to contact him, no answer, I resign :/ Thanks for the info

[Q&A] [ROM][4.4] Hive OS for Micromax A117

Q&A for [ROM][4.4] Hive OS for Micromax A117
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM][4.4] Hive OS for Micromax A117. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
downloading the rom
higlhy appreciate your work bro :good: but just one question is the battery issue completely fixed or minimized (i know its because of kitkat but just wanted to know )
Great work ...as usual.
The Rom UI is great ..and other specific reviews about the sane will be given by some more experienced people but the only pro I have faced till now is the USB OTG is not supported for this ROM ..is there any solution for it
But overall a great ROM and also the music quality is great as well.
thnku
thnx yaar for this new rom for MMX A117...really like it ...thanku very much and pls post more fresh ROMS for A117 .......thanku for ur hard worl bro ...
good rom but still
Thanks for this rom..
Its ui is good and new
Nice animations
But the only thing i didnt liked is that this rom its too slow..
I mean when i open the settings its opens after 2 sec.
I think this rom should be fast as a stock rom.
Can u do someting to make it a little fast..
Well i also tried developers options and also boosted the speed of my cores still then it was not so fast...it still takes a lot of time to open any window..
And the most annoying part...
Resent panel opens too late,u have to press the home butto for a long long time.
Dear Sir,
The ROM is not pre-rooted. After installation had problems with installing SuperUser and Mobile Uncle Tools.
UI of the Rom is very Good,
However i found the operation, a little sluggish...

OOBE crashed
Hi I just now installed the ROM after language selection it shows OOBE crashes.
And can't move futher please tell me any solution to that problem
Very nice ROM
Very matured looking ROM, Smooth. Didn't tested everything but it runs like a charm.
One request to make it respond faster. Its very slow everywhere from opening keyboard to opening any app to closing.
Feel irritating sometimes.
One problem that i faced is After installing Patch I am facing OOBE is crashed error and system doesn't allow me to go further.
Is it necessary to install the patch? what is it for?

Note 3 Neo Port Rom (works k zoom)

Hi brothers. As you know, Samsung has announced it will not update for Galaxy K zoom. I started looking for a new custom ROM for my phone. And I found a custom ROM. Obviously I have not fully tested this custom ROM. But as I see Dolby feature is not working. suggest pro deleted in the camera options. Other features fine, rom is stable, there are plenty of good options. I've used TWRP ROM for installation. Full System format, then take before I took full backup. I'll give the bottom a link to the Custom ROM. My English so bad, I'm sorry I used google translation. I want to help the brothers. We all have a good day. Greetings from İstanbul/Turkey
Mod Edit: link removed
Note: this rom 4.4.2 not lollipop, but works fine stable and fast

I'm trying to find something better. I hope I find a smooth Rom and I would like to share with you. If I had known a little more English, I can help you more, so I apologize.
Your English is just fine serif.
I keep this device for special occasions ...would be great if you do manage more development on the k zoom, I wouldn't know where to start myself TBH
Thank you again
Thank you very much for your interest and good wishes. If other friends help us, we can accomplish a lot more. Developer brothers please help us in this regard

Well I do hope someone from the Dev world comes along and tweaks this device but since katkernel, there's been nothing till your port..
Let's hope
Nearly 12000mb's spare ram with your rom btw , amazing
I wish I could be more suitable my brother. Unfortunately I do not have enough time to do just that. Is there someone you knew to do that, or the other friends we want to help through this post
Well, I'm in the process of stripping this right back...will take some time but, gonna try ; )
Thank you for helping my brother with me. I'm going to do my best in this regard. ROM is so good but little annoying issues
A thread for this rom already exists, created by its owner...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-note-4-mini-s6-10-0-kitkat-4-4-2-t3172166
Not sure why another thread has been created that even uses the same download link, no credit given or permission asked, and not even a link to the original thread.
This isn't how things are done on XDA.
Thread closed.

is possible to change OS on S7

Hi.. I am new here give address by other awesome member of yours..
I want to know if is possible to change or personalize your OS on you samsung S7.. ??
If I ask the wrong question sorry to the administrators..
Other wise thanks in advance..
Certainly. You may just want to make minor changes, then find a custom launcher, prettify it with icon pack and cool wallpapers. If you want deeper changes, I'd suggest to find a custom ROM that satisfy your needs(there are lots on the internet, I've found King of Nougat ROM after quick search on XDA). Then you have to flash it on your phone. Beware and read carefully installation instructions, otherwise you may get a brick. Then look for some customization tools such as Xposed.
Good luck.
Thanks HenriDellal appreciated your answer.. awesome I will research..
Great !!!
