How do I copy internal Phone memory Data files ? [android] - Android General

[Android Device]
I can see files on my phone browser, but they are invisible when I connect to my Laptop.
(my laptop is set to show hidden and system files already).
the phone files are within the Phone STORAGE\Android\data\com.xxxxxx\files\xxxxxxx
They are AUDIO recordings from an App.
i have around 1000 files there.
I can bluetooth them but its gonna take forever!!!
surely there is another way to get them to my laptop via USB ?
I realy appreciate any help

Auto Transfer Files to Phone

I am trying to figure out how to automate the weekly transfer of files from my computer to my phone (htc touch cruise).
Each week, I have some live radio shows which are automatically downloaded via bittorrent to my computer (all legal). What I would like to do is to have the files moved automatically onto the storage card of my phone whenever I either activesync with the home computer, or connect to the home network via 802.11.
So far, here's what I've come up with (using activesync):
1. Set up home computer to automatically move the downloaded files to the "sync files" folder on my home computer (can do this easily).
2. Whenever the phone is plugged in, the mp3 files are auto transferred to the phone via activesync's sync files feature.
What I can't figure out is how to change the folder the synced files are saved to on the ppc - can I set that activesync feature to save to a specific folder (say "/storage card/radio shows")?. The files I want to regularly transfer over are 50 - 150 megs, so they absolutely have to go to the sd card.
Is there another (better) way to do this? Somehow pull it off via wifi?
Well, I did a little more poking around and found mightysync which appears to offer syncing to sd card storage. I'll give it a whirl tonight.
I'm still curious if anyone else has some slick syncronization setups though...

WiFi Transfer Files To & From PC Without Using An App

Hey Guys
As title says how do i do this? (Transfer Files via WiFi To\From PC Without Using An App)
I thought i would be simple like it was with my Sony Z3, no extra app needed or anything, in my computer internal & external folders would show up same as if i'd plugged in a USB cable. Surly i'm missing a simple method.
Thx

Difficulty creating folders

Hi -
I have had the issue I will describe on previous Android phones, so it is not just the Pixel 2, but it happens with the P2 as well, so I thought I would post here. I often have the need to create folders in the Android filesystem. I have done this with a file manager app on the phone, and from my Windows 10 PCs while connected to the phone via USB.
My goal in creating a folder on the phone is to transfer files to the phone from the PC via USB, such as photos or video files.
Here is what happens:
When I create a folder using a file manager app, I don't see it from the PC
I can see the folder no problem on the phone
When I create the folder on the PC via the Win10 file manager, by navigating to the storage on the phone, the file manager program on the computer will almost always lock up, and will stay locked up until I disconnect the USB cable
This scenario behaves this way when I have tried it on multiple PC's, and not only on the Pixel 2 but also on my older LG G4, so like I said, it seems to be an Android thing, not a Pixel 2 thing.
Have others had this problem, and what to do about it?
Thanks.
I had something similar on my previous device (one + one) but i found the issue was the cable. It would detect fine then if i was to transfer a file it would hang.
I changed the cable and it was fine.
try wifi method via this app called AirDroid, you have to make sure your PC and phone are connected to the same wifi and you can access the phone internal storage via wifi.

Transfer from Android to Windows, deletes 3/4 (size and time length) of multimedia file (preserves 1/4)

Hello, I have a Motorola Android phone that is up to date on all updates and a relatively new Windows 11 computer. Yesterday morning I tried to transfer a multimedia file from the phone to an external hard drive connected to the computer.
The computer makes all kinds of background sounds but seemed to be working on the transfer. It did seem to speed up unusually at the end. However when I checked the file that was transferred was 1/4th the size and time length of the file that was on the phone (that phone file was about 1.2 GB) and the original file on the phone was deleted.
What happened? The file was cut from the phone and pasted to the external drive. I tried Recuva but it did not find any type of similar file on the external drive and it did not recognize the phone. I have done this type of transfer hundreds of times. The file was just created so there was no backup so I am guessing the full file is gone but it's still strange to me how this happened.
Thank you for your help.
