Hello!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" that never was even rooted. It was automatically upgraded to official 4.2.2, and it works really slow.
I just rooted it and decided to find a new "fast" ROM, but I found that this tablet has so many available ROMS. So, the question is:
Can anybody please suggest a ROM that works fast?

Not sure if this belongs here or not but....I am looking for a rom that is 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 based with Samsung apps (I like them) and runs on 8013. I have been trying to decifer what is currently in rom area. I do understand that AOPK is not what I'm looking for but no all of these say what their based on.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just got my Note 10.1, and loving it. Came from an Asus tf700 and this thing is so much faster and smoother. Does anyone care to share there recommendation for a great rom and why they like it. This thing runs great on stock but looking for a rom that is compatible with themes. Took a look at a few but can't decide.

For complete trouble free operation, keep what the creators put on it. Or just read the threads on your choice rom and if the problem dont bother you or you like problems, have fun and flash away.
I came from the Transformer Prime and am loving my Note. After rooting, I looked around at the other ROMS. I happen to be one of the folks who likes Touchwiz and the custom software that Samsung installed (s-notes, multiwindow, etc., so I decided to just leave the stock ROM installed.

Welcome to the Family
Actually you can just try to flash those custom ROMs out there.
Each of them has their own advantages / disadvantages, just try it if it's suitable for your need.
As for me I use ARHD (thanx to Mike, the creator).
It has stock look & feel, but still customizable without losing any of samsung features.
I'm sure that ARHD as well as Omega ROM come from developers that know their stuff very well as for me I'm using Omega with a grey theme. But I'm desperately waiting for the JKay framework to be announced for the Note 10.1

I just left mine stock and rooted it..... Tried the cooked roms but couldn't get rid of the custom tag in bootloader that stopped me from using the allshare hub....
Rooted, ran triangle away, re-installed latest stock firmware with Mobile ODIN and did total wipe when installing. ALL custom counters set back to Official and 0 flash count while still rooted...
Thanks for the input, so far have tried 2 roms out, redemtion and Arhd. Both run really well. Made a nandroid of stock rooted. Thanks again.

One of my friends has this phone and he says me it is really slow. What do you thing are the fastest and slimmest rom? We don't want to overclock but maybe some rooms have some optimisations. That's what we hope.

Stock 4.1.2 with turned off animations in Developer menu paired with good custom kernel (_thalamus for ex). You can also aso try rasbeanjelly 04/11...

What's everyone running now a days on their n8013? 4.4.2 gnabo v7 still. Been great rom. Starting to wonder what 5.0 is all about though.
Any opinions would be great.

This tab development is pretty much dead. I wouldn't expect anything.

Have you tried CyonogenMod? I've heard they have a lollipop rom compatible with Tab 2... Well at least with my model which is P5110 (hope it helps).

Try Candy or SlimLP.
I try almost all the lollipops roms and They seems all buggy and laggy ! The hardware seems to not handle lollipop. I suggest the last build of slimkat 4.4.4 .

I'm using CM 12.1 for it..
My p5100 runs very well on Candy 3.9. No significant lags, no reboots, all working.
I am using slim 6 right now I recommend it for u work very good
