Bugs:
Stock camera has force close(even after I changed it to camera apk from note 5.)
But can be fixed by installing any other camera app from play store.
Fingerprint scanner not working, no idea why. I'll rebuild whole rom from scratch I guess, and see if it fixes it.
No root obviously

Sorry guys for not so many features. I haven't slept whole night trying to get my computer to work, and then fixing couple of bugs with this rom, I'll try to fix more tiny bugs before uploading it, and then upload a functional version. + I have a really slow upload speed, so It will take some time..

Hehe, It's just modified version of stock kernel , in other words just changed it's name and changed selinux from enforcing to permissive, but unfortunately permissive works only in TWRP, and not in the rom itself.
When we will get root, I'll add more things into the kernel like stweaks support or synapse etc.(or at least I'll try.. )

No you can not change SELINUX to permissive just via Ramdisk reason : samsung removed the set enforce flags long time ago after kitkat source. And we need to wait for kernel source for LL 5.1.1 .
But my question was did you build the kernel from kernel Lollipop 5.0.1 open source?? coz thats only way you can change to permissive or add rootfs by disabling restrict root in kernel.deconfig and its not possible either to change Name " zimage bainery" without fresh compile from source.
Cheers but keep up good work .!!!!

Thanks for your effort,
can you please add option to remove unused lot of applications which can be downloaded from play store? is it possible right now? or have to wait till it get rooted?
any how i will give a try to flash it.

tnx for your support
but without root ... BAD

You can change the kernel name in sepolicy_version. And I'll upload a screenshot of it saying Permissive. So check screenshot section, and I have never done anything with the kernel in any of my roms, so yeah, I might be wrong, or it's just some random error, or bug

I can add System app Uninstaller, but it unfortunately requires root permissions, so it won't work.

Before quote irrelevant stuff and missleading other users kindly read my background . And accept words of logical wisdom . Stop telling about bugs or sepolicy_version dear friend i pretty well know about Basics. And same goes for rooting too.
I'm sorry but on polite way You not only wrong but misunderstood all concept about Android .But i suggest you simply wiki for more knowledge for you and other users Safety . If still think you can just rename bainery by editing some random text then no developer need to compile whole kernel from devise kernel source or ever need release kernel open source.
Ps. waiting for that screenshot eagerly.!!!
Cheers

Nice seeing fresh 5.1.1 development in exynos note 4. Thank you for your support

Omg, then I changed the name of whatever that thing is xD. It says SE For Android - status, enforcing , N0xKernel_1.0, 29.08.2015 01:14. This part. And I didn't mean that it's like some inside kernel name, but only sepolicy_version file that I found inside of unpacked boot.img file in initrd folder. And then edited first line which says VE=SEPF_(something) and changed it to VE=N0xKernel. My biggest worry right now isn't even the root status for 5.1.1 , but my poor upload speed, which will take like 20 hours to upload..:crying:
Edit: And I didn't mean that I changed binary files, but just default.prop, and sepolicy_version file.
Edit2: Does everyone have such fast charging? I know that samsung said that fast charge (or adaptive charging) can charge Your phone within an hour, but it's been only 45 minutes and it went from 0 to 92%! Never had any kernel, or rom that allowed my phone to charge so quickly. Good Job Samsung!

This looks cool will download and flash when I get home. Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you for bringing this to our G3. I'll give it a try.
Hint#
The included illusion launcher has settings that will enable you to have gesture sleep (double tap)
Downloading now. Ill keep posted on any bugs i can find. ?
I need to get back into making review videos. I don't see them much anymore and I think they work better than screen shots.
Works great. What is the CPU running at boot? Will I need to use SetCPU to control it? Been awhile since I've messed with this stuff.
Very Nice
Nice and fast and the only Lollipop ROM you can save an attachment in the stock messaging, though I lose root every time I flash, is this happening to anyone else. Thank you for your work.
You'll have to install the SuperSU beta for root. They're always updating it. Just google it, download it and flash in recovery.

Use the root settings in dev settings .. You probably jacked it up with the play store stuff already so remove that stuff enable dev settings and select app and adb under root settings.
I've been running cm11 due to awesome battery life with my Mugen battery.... But after reading through OP and change log by versions I'm really impressed. ! Def if it has o.c. options ,govs and so forth. Feature packed! Welcome $droyd$

That is another reason I am downloading now. For some reason cm11 does not allow me to use g3 volume booster due to mixer path xml issue. So jumping on board the Illusion. Was waiting for someone to integrate faux in both aspects.! Pretty excited

I am a developer BUT I am not a kernel/android rom dev!
Pure AOSP Marshmallow
This all started because I wanted to get my wife a cheap android phone that would stay up to date with the latest android. A cheap phone with SD storage and Marshmallow seemed like a great combination hence the E3. Sony has been great at supporting the developer community by providing Marshmallow binaries and working on open source components.
I am providing this rom in my spare time and all of what I have done can be done by anyone with AOSP code. Any changes I make I will endeavour to release to github should I stop developing this rom.

Guide to flashing
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img --> if it doesn't work first time
If you are having booting issues flash the cache image as well.
you also probably want the newest recovery of TWRP or CWM
repo with all the kernel patches I added to the E3 if someone wants to build it for themselves

Changelog
Code:

new unified display driver with flamingo specific fixes for display not turning on (seems to affect some devices worse than others)
19/03/2016
6.0.1 Release - updated boot image should get rid of display issues. Updated system image with security patches
New releases are in the downloads section and dated.
8/03/2016
6.0.1 Release, thank you all for waiting, stock build first. I really need to learn how to do nice release notes..
updated blobs which should mean a more stable build. Also we are getting closer to getting a working camera.
17/11/2015
Two new system builds
with modem files and one without
25/11/2015
Phone has arrived in the country should receive it soon
this will mean I can continue work on this device, I cannot just take my partners phone and mess with it unfortunately ;-D
26/11/2015
Phone arrived, have got a working system image, am uploading a backup from twrp now.
26/11/2015
Yay I have a working system.img for you all to flash and I put some extra effort to add a nice boot animation
I have also added the stock kernel(boot.img) as it seems to be more stable than erikcas one at the moment.... possibly
I've also attached the bootanimation should you want to use it on stock or whatever. Is not mine, can't remember the person who made, it, was posted to reddit/r/android if I find it again I'll attribute it.

New boot.img with improved io performance, you should see significant improvements if you've experienced lag. Thanks goes to @vinay for his work on the flamingo kernel. One small change removes CRC checking which improves performance by up to 30%

It makes a tutorial on installing via please ASOP ? :crying:
can this apply to D2202?
yes, this will better if you tell us for what variant of E3 in this Marshmallow thread
Will it work on D2212??? Which is your variant???
I have downloaded all the img files. Give step wise tutorial for flashing. What is the ramdisk.img and ramdisk-recovery.img and how to flash them???
Ramdisk is probably kernel. One without and one with recovery. Everything is flashable from fastboot
Okay, means this rom will work on D2212 /D2202 as they don't have seperate recovery partition
OK i´m downloading it i will write here and post screens if you want

Maybe for new bootloader? If i good remember for E3 here was 2 bootloader types
Can you please create a quick installation guide and/or requirements (bootloader), i will be pleased and please can you tell us the bugs
Do i need to flash ramdisk OR ramdisk-recovery OR recovery OR all of them??? I am confused
this is no gonna boot at all. were is kernel?
and sony upload stuff for compiling rom,s for lte varriant,s so test it on d2203.
and system.img is bigger than our system partition it could mean you compiled rom for a different device.

Sorry uploading kernel now. I followed the sony developer world instructions for the D2203 variants
http://developer.sonymobile.com/kno...aosp-marshmallow-for-unlocked-xperia-devices/
please be nice this is my first attempt at supplying a rom. Am re-compiling again as I think your right I misread and compiled for the D5503 instead of D2203, I don't have the device yet as I am waiting for it to be delivered.
I have messed around with building roms before but haven't handed them out.
Again for D2203 and not for D2212/D2202. I think i must throw this phone, nothings gonna happen.

[KERNEL][5.1.1][N910U][TW][PORT] GoogyMax-N4 2.0 mod2a 06Nov

hi all
this is a port of googy_anas's GoogyMax-N4 2.0 TW 5.1.1 for N910U, as he switched to S6 G920F already
NOTE:
based on GoogyMax-N4 2.0 kernel sources, with some integrations from stock N910UXXU1COI2 ramdisk
compiled with gcc 5.2 sabermod
5.1.1 bootloader update IS NOT REQUIRED (mine is a 5.0.2 bootloader N910UXXU1BOGB)
only tested with SIXPERIENCE N5 PORT STABLE V2.0, used to have display problems (blank/black screen, no boot logo) with DN5's before with the 5.0.2 kernel, but if u can see the boot logo then it should be fine
probably a ONCE OFF RELEASE ONLY without further updates, i dono yet
WHAT NOT TO EXPECT:
fancy installations
bugs free experiences
problems will be solved quickly/ultimately
individual/feature requests (i will listen, but no promise)
other ports like aosp or other N910 variants, sorry
KERNEL FEATURES/OTHER INFO:

my phone freezed a few times before also, but after it rebooted a few (3) times then everything 's fine
the reason could be due to Synpase. need to uninstall it according to the original thread. after uninstalled synapse no more freeze after boot. I used it for a whole day before, and put it aside to see the battery consumption a few times for several hours without any problem
hope this helps
edit, this kernel (or tool) requires specific busybox version, so better not to install any busybox yourself

this tool is different from what we used in synapse, which allowa u to adjust the difference (delta ) only. u can subtract the original and your previous synapse setting values to obtain the delta value

try disabling all init scripts (temporaily) and reboot, if it works, see which script is causing problems
same for startup tunning apps like system tunning tools, etc
edit
in case u dono how to do it, the simpliest way is to rename the /system/etc/init.d folder to something else like /system/etc/init.d.bak, and rename it back to /system/etc/init.d after test
NOTE: if the init.d is used to give u root access, then u may lose root by doing so. i would suggest u to to a backup first anyway

Disclaimer:
Altough we are working hard to deliver a bug-free rom, things may break and we are not responsible if something goes wrong and your hardware becomes damaged or if you have any problem, you are taking a risk flashing roms.
Hi, so you might wonder why the other thread got closed and what's all of this about. Well, the answer is that now I'll be maintaining this rom while Surdu will take care of Resurrection Remix, the rom is the same and you can flash this builds without wiping if you had the 'older' rom.
Instructions:
If you come from stock EMUI 5.0:
Install TWRP (Available in this subforum)
Format data
Flash vendor.zip
Flash LineageOS's zip
If you already have LineageOS:
Flash LineageOS's zip
Downloads:
Find them in this DevDB project section called 'Downloads' (you might need to use a computer)
Bugs:
Encryption
Changelog:
Code:
01/06/2017 - Fixed random reboot issue
01/06/2017 - Added loop support
29/06/2017 - Fixed tethering
29/06/2017 - Fixed shaky camera
29/06/2017 - Updated Lineage source

There are still some little bugs to fix and things will break from time to time, so in order to properly help you and keep the thread organized every help petition should include:

Last but not least, thanks to the whole OpenKirin team (@surdu_petru @OldDroid) for their amazing job at keeping updated roms for kirin devices as well as helping with this one.

Thank you for understanding !
I'm bit confused. So where is the download section?
Found it

Sorry about that, there must be a problem with XDA servers, it's taking more than an hour to upload! And unfortunately I couldn't upload it without posting the DevDB thread, if it keeps working like that I'll find a more reliable storage solution.
I am really sorry! Check back in 5 minutes or so
Very nice job, and happy you fixed the issue. I'll set it as my daily driver once everything's OK
So what exactly caused the issues ? I'm curious as to whether it could have been solved on our own (i do say without Huawei's kind but forced operations).
And what do we do with that vendor.zip ? Flash it on top of Lineage's original Vendor package ?
(EDIT : Check post on top, the joys of cross-posting )
Still, thank you immensely on behalf of all the community

Hi, the problem was that a driver introduced by Huawei checked the time that it takes to boot (running in a kthread), if it takes more than three minutes it reboots to eRecovery, but it looks like it waits for a signal from userspace to check if it booted (like, write 1 to /sys/.... Whenever it boots).
We were actually aware of this being the issue, and tried to avoid it by editing the function's code (ARM64 instructions because we had no source (By filling the function with NOP or returning 0)) but we didn't succeed at first and thought that the kernel release was near so it made no sense to keep wasting time on it, if you want to see more details just go to github and check what we did, I hope that you understood the explanation.
Thanks for your kind words!
EDIT: The rom is up, you can download it now.
The Lineage zip file has uploaded! Thanks again for all your guys work.
Thx for your job. I'll now have to unlock the bootloader and start flashing. Two questions: can I lock the bootloader again once I installed LOS? Do i need to install twrp or is it enough to just boot it for installation?

Not at all, you need to be on EMUI in order to relock it. (You can if you go back to EMUI but I think that you asked if you could do that while you are on LineageOS).

TWRP is just needed to format data and install the ROM, there's no need to keep it after installing the ROM.
What issues, if any, are present? Does the dual camera work? FPS fully functional along with gestures? Thanks

I am not sure about that, I think it does because that's coded into the HAL and we are using the one from Huawei.

It works well but the gestures are not included by now, maybe in the next release.

I do not want to be rude, but if you want a personalized rom, based LOS or AOSP with fully dual camera support and FPS gesture, you better stay on stock EMUI
does the rom supports volte?if no please add that feature..this is the one con to make it as my daily driver

I don't understand why you would need to be on android 10 for a recovery when the recovery is based off TWRP that works on android 9 and 10? I don't get it.

It is built with and Android 10 Kernel base so you might get issues with Android 9

I'm not going to lie SHRP 2.3 is awesome on my S7. You have magisk manager options inside recovery, themes look nice and new, you have the camera api 2, fingerprint clear options, it really has just about everything. I still think it would be great to allow internet and a web browser I dont know how that would be possible but I could see it. I hope there is a working permissive kernel for android 10 soon.
The best recovery I have ever seen so far !!!
EDIT
Just one request if possible...in file manager there is no function to select multiple files, so if it is possible to add check boxes for multiple selection.
Anyone else unable to mount system with the YouTube vanced installer? I get an error 1.
I have tried turning off the unmount system in the settings.

Well I hate to do this to someone but maybe try TWRP 3.4 that the other developer just made. It's only because the system problems with TWRP 3.3.1 based and Android 10 I'm telling you to try 3.4. So sorry devs know it's kinda crappy to say something in your thread but I believe it's only fair because android 10 doesn't play well with TWRP at the moment. Hopefully the next update by Dee's Troy will be the finally fix to the super partition or dynamic partition as they call it.
---------- Post added at 10:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:01 PM ----------
In all honesty I would bet the devs of this recovery are actually using 3.4 if they already knew about it or if they just found out from me they will switch for now. The nasty part of development is a lot of developers don't use their own updates so that's how you have someone put out a new kernel or ROM thinking it works and everyone says no it's a bootloop. Because they are using some other devs kernel or something that works better and they didn't feel like switching because the ROM, kernel, and TWRP that work the best will be the most popular threads basically.

This looks to be a YT Vanced issue, I suspect the Magisk module has not been updated.
For anyone hitting this error, just install Vanced youtube with SAI, easy as pie!

Yeah that's fine that's how I do it. However it doesn't change the fact that right now on Android 10 you should be on TWRP 3.4 as it correct some of the errors in android 10. Hopefully in a week or 2 they will finish TWRP to work 100 percent with the new super partition and a/b setup. I actually looked up super partitions and actually it make sense because it would allow you to make use of all the space on internal because things can take up what they need to and not extra. Don't get me wrong this recovery updated to TWRP 3.4 source would be better yet but still.
Hello~
I couldn't find anything in the BUA1 folder. (GDrive)
Is there anything wrong?
Also, BTK2 folder has data. It's the old version, but...
there is no T860 folder in SForge.
