Hi, I am planning of getting one of this beast. After reading on the internet about possible amoled screen burn in after using it. Could somebody share his/her experience regarding this? Is burn in screen real problem or small problem with this device? Thanks.

Never heard of screen burn in issues with amoled screens. I've had the original Galaxy S for over two years and have had no issues.

I have very, very faint screen burn in at the bottom of my 7.7 where the status bar is. Can only really notice if I'm looking for it on a white screen, but more obvious on a red screen. I believe the only reason it happened is because I took it out in the sun with me one day and put brightness up to 100% for like 90 min while browsing/reading because before that my screen was flawless. I'd say if you can keep it at low brightness you should be fine. If you're rooted I'd get a hide bar app. In contrary to all this though, my Note II has no burn in whatsoever and I leave that thing on auto brightness.

Thanks for the heads up man!
My Tab is an ex demo unit and had some massive image burn in due to it being left on while on display with the screen overlay still on the unit, so i had the big O and the smaller icons burnt into the screen, i only really noticed them when viewing solid lighter back grounds, and as i have used the tablet more for the purpose it was meant to be used for rather than sitting looking pretty on display the image burn has all but disappeared, can only really pick up traces of the burn if a really look hard enough
Here is link for tab 7.7 screen issues.

It has been already discussed before, and my question is has Samsung fixed the issue yet? Most of them say is a manufacture defect. Or maybe it just Amoled technology at infancy.

Mine has gotten considerably worse over the last few months. I'm acutally going to call LG about it right now.
I'm on my 2nd RMA, and one thing I noticed with this device and my original device is light bleeding along the left side of the phone right beside the volume rocker button, and it's noticeable on a black background, or when the phone is displaying the Nexus splash screen upon boot.
If you can, please check your phone and partake in the poll so I can find out if it's a common issue with all devices.
Thanks.

I have a little light bleed on the upper left corner, but nothing too drastic, nothing next to the volume rocker though.
Fine here

Just gought another N5 for th wife, and hers has it really bad right alongside the volume buttons. Mine doesn't.
Many do. Mine does. Dont care

Mine does...i don't really care though. It's only noticeable on a completely black screen. Not a big deal.
Yup. It's something that happens to most IPS screens. Even a $1000 IPS monitor will have the same problem.

Minor bleed next to the volume buttons. Not severe at all though, and you only see it when you look for it or if the screen is black and no significant ambient light. No trace when viewed in daylight.
Out of 3 devices I inspected, 2 had pretty much lightbleed in upper left corner and along the volume rocker. So I guess it is more or less normal.
Lcd is notorious for some bleed. Mine does. If its too.much and bothers you call them up

Mine has had it from the moment I took it out the box

Hi guys, I just got my note 5 today from t-mobile. I use gray wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen, out of no where there are 3 black lines in the middle of the screen whenever I turn the brightness down. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Or else I might need to get a new one. Only happen with gray color, nothing else.

yep getting my new note 5 again... sigh
I have that same issue but I am not sure I could get a replacement. It unless shows up with grey wallpaper and it doesn't show up in light. So you can't really see it. What might you recomend?
Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
It is common on amoled screens it is how they are made they only show up on gray backgrounds, no amount of swapping will make a difference there will be some type of black lines or a pinkish tint on grey backgrounds this has happened since the s4 era.

So my S8+ just arrived a few hours ago. Turn it on and immediately see this problem at the bottom of the screen (see picture).
Basically there is an artificial line at the bottom edge of the display, and the portion below at times flickers.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Nope.
Return it. Don't wonder what it is or why it's there.
Return it.

I agree with howdyace : Return It without thinking !
Sure that's not samsung pay? I have it when I have it enabled.
You have something similar with Samsung Pay activated? Could you take a pic?
Also for reference this is the 6GB RAM model imported from Korea. Returning it will be a hassle that might take weeks to resolve so I'm leaning more towards keeping it.
You can see a vertical line crossing the camera shortcut too... Defective screen, will probably get worse over time
galaxyYtester, actually that vertical line is a screen protector.
